I am inclined to agree with you but also note that advanced diplomas take 3yrs but for the fast track which is considered in most schools as a post graduate program takes 2yrs.
E.g the chemical production and power engineering program - accelerated at lambton college is listed as a post graduate program that offers advanced diploma on graduation. (2yrs).

Secondly why would schools create such discrepancies for CIC to take advantage of it?

I will be requesting for my file sha just to put this to rest at least.
We also need to clear it up so people don't fall into the trap.

If that be the case then I think anyone ready for an appeal would have a case.
switching to the Advance diploma thingy was what affected this application + the program was two years. If you had re-applied using the graduate certificate admission which is actually considered a postgraduate program your application would have been successful as you have sorted reasons for the previous refusals. Not all VO consider advance diploma as academic progression if you have a 4-year BSc already, though some peeps get approval with it ,i will not advise anyone to apply with an advance diploma for their study permit. A one year postgraduate certificate or Masters would have been better.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 10:28am On Aug 13, 2015
I understand but the end certificate is what matters you know. Schools are just looking for students so they cater to everyone which is what leads people to actually believing that it is a post-grad program.
I can't even imagine how bad this feels. I would have given up on the second attempt. But with all the help you're getting on this thread, you'll hit them so bad, they wouldn't even dare tick any mumu reason in your next application.

It will be extremely painful if this was the only reason.

I think most college applicant if not all are being denied VISA (I stand to be corrected). I was also delayed yesterday for 2 reasons

Purpose for Visit and length of study. I really don't know what to think but i want to believe this reason was just sent out to every college applicant that met other criteria.

I want to refire but i want to be sure that this new process will not continue. My app was relatively ok, well funded accounts and i work with a bank (salary is good).

course: Project Management, Conestoga. I also think the skoll and province has a lot to do with TRV approval.
House, Kindly scrutinize and revert as i will like to re apply very soon.
Will need some of your guyz to go tru my resent SOP and also adivce on what to add and what to Take out. Please no condolences, just the way forward.

Akin, you're a strong guy.

I called the VAC helpline as instructed and they asked me to send the email I received to their help-mail. Their reply wasn't helpful, they just said my processed passport was already in Lagos and they wanted me to come pick it up. Going to UPS today with a letter of authorization and collection slip so they can get it on my behalf.
I wish you all the best, let us know the out come!

DENIED ON TWO REASONS
*PURPOSE OF VISIT
You're a minor, and you didn't even use any guardian service or legal custodian,
Definitely CIC isn't convinced you intend to study

*FINANCES
Having (40million) as landed property does not show you have enough money to sponsor you education!
CIC doesn't expect your dad to sell his property to support you education

The landed property show ties majorly for your dad, not for you!
Did you even include
1.family photographs?
2.Letters of recomendation from church, mosque or highschool?
3.Letter of long term prospect

Yes "they don't expect you to steal your dads money"
CAUSE
all banks have 'student accounts' and they expect you to have one, with sufficient funds

Ps: telling canada f*uck u here wouldn't do..! It wouldn't reach them!

You have two options

You can mail them a f*ck you OR refire with a better plan and the intentions of a genuine student

My Broda bless you, YOU JUST EXPLAINED TO ME WHAT REALLY WENT WRONG, Now i see, i would advise anybody "Not to use an agent", my agent didn't tell me all this things, if i knew she told me a guardian wasn't necessary and all that, family photographs wasnt even mention, Now, i see thanks, Bro, i would refire, but thats after going to Norway or Germany,

Ps: But what do you really consider of Germany, are they racist

Thanks

Hi guys, i just got these information of documents to be submitted at Point of Entry but i dnt seem to understand how to go about documents no5 and no6. Please can anyone throw more lights on these. Thanks

Hello Jeff,

You will find this useful while at the POE;

The CBSA officer will ask to see your travel documents when you arrive in Canada. Make sure they are not packed in your luggage, and that you have them with you. This will help speed up your entry to Canada.

You should be ready to show the following documents:

1.) A Valid International Passport or Travel document

2.) The letter of introduction from the visa office that you received when your study permit was approved (this letter contains your permit reference number and the CBSA officer needs this letter to issue your study permit)

3.) A Valid temporary resident visa (if required)

4.) A copy of the Letter of Acceptance from the designated learning institution at which you are accepted to study

5.) Proof that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay in Canada and

6.) Letters of reference or any other documents recommended by the visa office where you applied

Carry these items and all other valuable papers, cash and traveler’s cheques with you at all times. Do not put them in your checked luggage.

You may not be allowed into Canada if any of your documents are missing or if any of the information on your application or letters of reference is incorrect.

u can print Out ur statement of account and ur sponsor's statement of account. u can also present ur debit cards

Nigerians in Norway are few, and you'll want to avoid countries like that.
Germany is better, but there is language barrier and like you said racism is a major problem especially for a minor

If you have the funds you can seek admission in LITHUANIA:
kaunas university of technology

IRELAND:
griffith college dublin
national university of ireland

LONDON:
london metropolitan university

...if you pay your fees, you'll have little problems

BUT

My best advise is to tackle the problems you have with CIC and refire, you have a upper hand

Get a Mentoring Service from
www.sasscanada.com

Get a detailed SOP with a long term prospect
Just let us know if you really wish to REFIRE,, we'll help you with your documentation

Ps: avoid using agent, most re inexperienced
Good Luck

Out of everything uve said ur notion on the college and province havng an effetx is whaat I disagree with.
And not all college applicants are denied.

I will endeavour to request GcMs if atall it doesn't come good.

I would like to ask, your project management is a one year course? Isn't it?
Where's the sense in length of proposed stay then?

I was delayed last month for the second time, i was going in for an Undergraduate program. And the reasons were, personal assets and finance, purpose of visit, hometie in Canada. All i have to say is, all those who have recently been delayed shouldn't be discouraged, cross your T's and dot your I's and refire. For me i was stubborn with the undergraduate thing. My friends warned me to take a PGD, but i just feel say i go chop 2 years TRV. Well i now have a January 016 PGD, and i am hoping to refire. Just want the Gurus in the house to help analyse the following documents which i have to submit via Paper route come September first week.

Sponsors account ; 25mil
Sponsors April payslip showing salary 568k for April, July.
Affidavit of support
Notarized Letter of consent from Sponsor.
Letter of Intro from sponsors place of work
National ID card
Sponsor is paternal Uncle

Me: SOA; 2.3mil for 4 months
Study leave letter
letter of intro from company
property evaluation document in my name
National ID's of parents and siblings
Waec result
Bsc Transcript
Acceptance letter with part tuition $7500 for Environmental Technology, Niagara College
Birth Certificate
NYSC cert
POLICE CHARACTER CERTIFICATE

Please Gurus in the house, do i need any additional documents? Please advise

Sure, you can still make 2016 intake..!

Post the list of documents you previously applied with?
So we can know the way forward!

Then if you have ascertained that you can meet up with the required documents to refire

You'll have to
Call the school and tell them, you have decided to differ your admission till the next intake,

and you would wish for them for to support you with an updated "letter of admission and proof of tuition payment "

Ps: Also having a back up plan wouldn't do you any harm
You can
Apply to the Univesity of nicosia in Cyprus ! No application fee..! (That's if you wish)

I dont have anyone there, only my hommie, and he thinks its because i didnt include any university academic qualifications thats why the family tie in canada and country of residence came up, the V.O expect you to have someone over there if you are going for undergraduate. I stand to be corrected though, i think with the PGD like they all said, i should be fine

They might be assuming, Project Management could have been done here in NG ,
and they see no reason for you too spend exhobitant amount of cash to study a 1 year program

The proposed length of study might not necessarily mean overstaying!
Might even mean you're not spending enough time. Lol

Sometimes the gcms isn't what it is cut up to be. Just another mechanism set up by CIC to furnish their pockets.
