I was talking to one girl the other day. Her best friend is a guy & the guy is partners in business with this other Nigerian dude. Anyway, the girl & the Naija dude met at the other guy's house & I guess something started because they went out last weekend. I asked her how the date was & she said the guy is so annoying, he brags so much. Instead of telling her about himself, he was busy mentioning his flat in Sandton & blah blah blah. SHALLOW. Who cares! It's not the 1st time someone hears of a flat so it's no big deal, just say something unrelated to possessions. To cut the long story short, it doesn't seem like there will be a 2nd date. He might score with a gold digger though because that's what a behaviour like that attracts.

Just as there are ladies like you and your friend, who do not like the bragging there are guys like me who do not do the bragging.

Also, it is not a Naija thingy..it is a male strategy to subdue and conquer. Lol.

Its not a wise move on the part of the girl because all her failings will be exposed to the guy and since they are not married, the guy could back out of the relationship.
