Well, smart move in my opinion.

After going on like 10 matches 3yrs without a goal in SE shirt and playing at a backwater league, the handwriting was clear on the wall: He was going to lose SE shirt. He acted swiftly.


Yet, we should celebrate him, no matter how short he lasted in the national team. He bailed us out on some occasions and played a very key role in Nigeriaks 2013 AFCON victory.

Thank you, Emenike.

Meanwhile, your major issue was relying on power alone and making your game predictable.

Well, I don't know why he decided to quit but I don't think Oliseh has anything to do with it. Emenike has tried his best. Problem is that he's not in form as he used to be.

This is why most players reject national team call ups once they have opportunity of playing for another country . if I'm a young player and i see senior colleagues being disrespected and they retiring . I wont honor an invitation knowing that I might be treated same way in the future.

Those players are scared of challenge and too arrogant.
All they want is automatic shirt,when they notice their position is been threatening they say stuffs so dat pple will av negative assertions about the coaches.

Super Eagles is a camp not a family house, and it shouldn’t be a threat zone for any individual.

There is a fundamental issue in the Nigerian football team presently. I hate putting blames on a particular party but rather share it amongst the parties involved. The manner at which the players we feel are most committed are retiring from the National team is a pointer that the new management might be lacking human/man resource skills which is one of the most important ingredients in human development/management.

It is high time those in the know should reach out to the national team coach,reminding him that he was appointed to lead/manage & not dictate.
