What did you connect to you system before you start experiencing this issue?
I'm not sure. But i think it was my external keyboard. A drink spilled on the original keyboard earlier this year and some keys stopped working. I've been using the external keyboard without any fuss until now.

1) Restart you system.

2) At the desktop press Windows Key + R to open 'Run'.

3) Type or copy and paste msconfig into 'Run' and click on 'OK' to continue.

4) Click on 'Services' tab, select the little box close to 'hide all Microsoft services'. Click on 'Disable all' and click on 'Apply'.

5) Click on 'Ok' and next click on 'Restart' to reboot your system.

Come back here with your findings for more information on what to do next if that didn't help.
The laptop isn't even booting into windows. That blue screen always pops up at startup.

Hello guyz
pls my mouse pointer has been movin on itself. Any tangible solution pls

1) Check if your charger is the original one meant for your system. By looking at the back of you computer for voltage and compare it with the one of your charger. If they are different it is time to get another charger.

2) Check if your HD is completely full.

3) Check if you are experiencing malware attack

4) Check if the programs you are running are using more of your memory than necessary. You can simply upgrade the RAM if your system memory can be upgraded.

5) It could be a hardware problem. It could be a broken cable, bad chip ,etc that need a tech look into it and replaces it.

Okay. Take it to the tech to clean the system up. The drink is interfering with motherboard functionality. You should have done that long time ago because the inside is going to be very gross and dangerous to the operation of your system.

I ve actually opened it up and cleaned the system. I did dat immediately the day th drink spilled. And the drink didn't spill on the motherboard bcoz there's a light cover between the keyboard and the motherboard.

And the system in question is an HP pavilion 15. The keyboard is joined to the Top Cover.

Okay.

1) Disconnect the internal keyboard from the motherboard.

2) Remove the external keyboard, remove the battery and disconnect the charger from the system.

3) Hold down the power button for 10 to 20 seconds to do XT reset. Reconnect your charger and start your system.

Come back here for more information after that.

That has a lot to do with hardware issue. It is related to system specification, USB error, etc. Try to change the port you used for your external keyboard. What is your system specifications?

1) Try to do system repair with your Windows 10 installation disc. If you don't have one try second step.

2) Try to install Windows 7 using USB installation and see the outcome. After that and you are still have the same problem. Move to 3rd step.

3) I think you should try another hd. There could be error emanating from the one you have in your system.

Report back for more information.

Then we will eliminate the specs issue and focus on other areas.

1) Try to do the Windows 7 installation but don't format the disk but install directly on it so that you can retrieve your important information if you have any there when you succeed. If you don't have any important information on the hard disk it is advisable to format it and do the installation. After that and you are still having the same problem go to the second step.

2) Try another HD - which I am sure it's the problem in this case.

I am using a Compaq Presario CQ57, some time ago my laptop fell. Though it worked for a few minute, but I notice it was hanging, so l close all the opened programs, shut down and restart after about 10 minutes, but the system will not boot. Instead it went in a never ending system repair mood. I took it to a repairer later that same day because I had to continue work on my school project. I don’t know what he did, but he opened the system, tried some things, which did not work and he finally had to install a new windows. Right now, the system comes on with the new windows, I can’t load the old windows, I can’t access all my installed programs and software and each time I go to the old drive I was using before the fall, the sys drags and becomes slow and finally hangs-depending on how deep I go within the drive. I will like go what can be or should be done about it. And if its possible for me to do it myself because where I am for the moment I can’t get a pc engineer around.
SYSTEM PROPERTIES
(1)RAM 4G(2) Processor 2.2ghz (2) Hard disk drive: 449g and 16.5g

thanks in anticipation of your response.

The slow performance and freezing of your system could be due to virus/malware infection or overheating...just get a good antivirus programs n do a deep scan..if it overheats, take it to a technician for internal cleaning.

I don't think so, no virus, no over heating, it all started after the fall and installation of a new windows, I however did notice now that the main active drive is limited in space.

Hello
I have a Hp 650 laptop, I gave a friend who needed it.. He used it and drained the battery till it went off itself.
When I collected it.. I tried charging it for several hours but it's not charging.. It shows a power cord connected and shows "plugged in, not charging" with a white notification light at the side instead of a orange light.. Could it be that the battery has spoilt or what?
