HopeAtHand: That is exactly what he is saying. You may or may not know that Ikwerres own the port area of PH, but the rate of idiocy and buffoonery there will cause them to loose it, if care is not taken Fortunately, Igbos have other outlets like Obuaku, Opobo.and Bonny and perhaps Onitsha for smaller vessels 3 Likes |

I condemn this unjust arrangement. Nigeria is built on injustice and that's why things are not working. However, this is the wrong time for this revelation. Jonathan knew all these and didn't do anything to correct it. I never liked or supported him, but I expected him to use his influence to correct certain things, which he didn't. He failed 100%. Buhari's government is here to achieve either of these: re-structure or break Nigeria. Please lets support him to succeed. The display of hatred for anything Buhari from some quarters will only prolong it. 1 Like |

OfoIgbo: You dont need to tell me about the port area, im an Ikwerre guy, its something im well aware of...My main concern is to see if Amaechi as minister of Transport can make that port viable again. Theres also another mini port that can be expanded.it is owned by Saipem in Rumuolumeni area of Obio/Akpor LGA. Before anyone gets carried away, im not in support of Biafra. 1 Like |

Rawani: You are laughable. The whole world knows Atiku is the majority shareholder in intels, yet his name does not even appear in the list of shareholders. So, where are his shares if it is not embedded in the shroud of 'foreign investors.' I work in this environment - I know how these things are done One must feel sorry for the SSners. |

Some ppl are showing us Igbo name on the list of share holders, thats bullshit. we want the ports to function optimally for the interest of all, the reason igbos seek equality and justice is not because we dont have enof of our ppl benefiting from the wrong arrangement, its just that we hate inequality. THe ports on the east coast are taxed in such a way that only oil transactions can survive there, all well meaning nigerians should be concerned 1 Like |

DelticStephEn: in truth Igbo's are always the first to attack but always the first to play the victim when they get attacked back. imagine Igbo's having igwe in Lagos, imagine Igbo's calling Lagos a no mans land...imagine Igbo's holding political offices in Lagos....imagine Igbo groups even going as far as saying they want to produce deputy governor and governor in Lagos state....haba....that was too much insult to the Yoruba's and because the Yoruba's are very accommodating, they took all this shit until thy couldn't take no more. then the oba threatened and the Igbo's started playing the victim. even during the civil war...it was a north/versus Igbo war...but the Igbo's simply faced the minorities in the SS, destroyed SS lands, forced children to join their army and killed those who resisted. they even went as far as ore in ondo state so as to gain entrance into Yoruba land. why?,.....why didn't the Igbo's face north and leave the Yoruba's on their own?...then when a Yoruba soldier fought and defeated the biafran soldiers at Ore, they say Yoruba's are betrayals and backstabbers...wetin una they find for Ore...Ore be like Hausa land?...lol 2 Likes 1 Share |

CHM11:I understand ur point however while we might not want to b Biafra am sure u will agree with me that our Nigeria system was put in place to suppressed some parts of d country, we are no fools dat the Biafrans can take for a ride, am sure if we as south southerns are given a choice to choose between Biafra and Nigeria," we will not choose anyone of them rather we will be on our own but that is not to say we won't welcome anyone addressing d problems facing the south south It is worthy of note dat our leaders has failed us here in d South south and there has bn dis suggestion for long now dat there are people legally and illegally frustrating any efforts to put our seaports in order here in the South south The Nigeria system is not fair and has bn design to suppress d South south as we have more potential to b self sufficient than any other region in the country even without oil revenue Btwn am a young guy willing to learn from u So i will b open to ways we can make our voice b heard by d Nigeria government |

Despite the yearly allocation of several billions of naira for the construction of a proposed greenfield deep seaport at Ibaka in Akwa Ibom State by both the State Government and the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) since 2011, the project has remained elusive, with no evidence of a port being built at the proposed site. The project is missing in the National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan and in the list of similar projects planned in partnership between the federal government and state government, with expectations of private investors collaborations, investigations by LEADERSHIP have revealed. http://allafrica.com/stories/201312160580.html There is nothing like Ibaka deep seaport, it exists only in the imagination of the fraustars like Akpabio using it to scam billions into their pockets which he did for so many years. Akpabio budgeted billions every year for this imaginary deep seaport, but not even bush clearing was done. It's a scam because it's not even on the FG's National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan. 2 Likes 1 Share |
