Report reaching DAILY POST from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital has it that there is an ongoing battle between Boko Haram insurgents and the military over attempts by the insurgents to take over the capital city.

According to DAILY POST reporter, there is tension in the capital city  as the military are making effort to stop the insurgents who have mobilized themselves in buses from penetrating the city of Maiduguri.

If Maiduguri falls so will the entire NE.

This is terrible to say the least.

The army must not fail or else ISIS will have a territory in Nigeria and a corridor via Niger waste lands to Libya.

The thought of lice ridden jihadists from Egypt and Libya joining them will only make the situation worse and hard to dislodge the group in an urban environment with a sizeable civilian shield.

Nobody should celebrate this news rather we should pray for our troops but condemn liar mohammed's attempt at lying on the war.

Now is the time for the FG to come clean.

If they need a draft to fight the insurgency let them call for one.

The army even though not on my good books must not fail because a defeat in the NE will spell doom for every region.
