If City get Athletico, that's the end for City bro. Athletico may end up winning the UCL this time around. They have done well and really deserve it.
But, I think it will be City vs Madrid and Bayern vs Athletic. Which ever way it comes, I doubt if City can defeat any of the remaining semi finalists unless there's an upset.

And you think there won't be an upset?

In 2012, it was Bayern, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Barcelona (two Spain, one Germany, one England) in semi finals. Who gave Chelsea a chance among those teams?

Today it's Real Madrid, Atletico, Man City and Bayern (two Spain, one Germany, one England AGAIN.)

Who says 2012 cannot repeat itself?

this match pain me no be lie, messi was literarily strolling on the pitch, Suarez could have bitten one of the athletic defenders if it was when he was in Liverpool, neymar was frustrated cos of the crowd of defenders attacking him. term ter stegen could have received a slap from me if I were to be in that field, how could he have let that penalty pass right in front of him. worst of it all, turan brought in, I couldn't say if he was playing for athletico or barca. iniesta did his best but allowed the devil to use him in our own half. busquet needs some ass lashing, I haven't seen a confused defensive midfielder like him as of yesterday. the defence was a total flop. at a time it looked like as if my team were praying for a miracle, it never came and we were knocked out. so far so good the unbeaten run was over enjoyed and as a result fatigue and some unforeseen circumstances have come in between our dream of back to back UCL. but no matter what happens I've always been a cule way back in 2006, I don't think any team can make football easier and sexier the way this team makes it for me. I don't care if they lose all the other trophies or wpoty, as far as they in good shape they won't fail to always give us cules some good moments of sensational football. as for the remaining teams I wish them success.

good as athletico Madrid is, they don't score a lot of goals and man city can still feel like they stand a chance against them compared to Bayern and Madrid who can score easily and more talented with the added benefit of being victorious in past match up against city.
You will agree with me that Bayern are struggling recently, Madrid too are not yet convincing as their victory against Wolfsburg can't be used as the yardstick. But, if you have been following Athletico lately, you'll know that they boast of the best defence in Europe. They have regained their form at this crucial time and posses the fire power to score goals while still putting up a great defensive work.
Any decent team will score freely against Madrid and Bayern, but same can't be said about Athletico. They will give any team a run for their money.

You are right, anything is possible in football. City winning would give a perfect send forth give to Pellegrini.

...it's also beautiful that some one who claims "INDIFFERENT" to Barca's plight will remember Keita and Pique's handball while also insisting that Iniesta should be sent off...yet can't say so when Barca should HV gotten the decision.
Dude pls stop being unfortunate. Show me a post where i said Iniesta should ve gotten red carded or just do me a favor and kip kwayet.
Since FT yesterday, i've never once insisted(in ur own words) on Iniesta getting a red card coz in my own books, diving/handball doesn't carry as much weight as an elbow to the face.

Please be objective at least! I talked about Iniesta' getting a red, does that mean I shouldn't talk about a penalty ought to be awarded in our favor? Or what sort of human are you? And you went as far back as 2009? Man you need Psychiatric attention urgently.
Being objective is realizing that Iniesta shouldn't have been on the pitch in the first place to start talking about your penalty appeal.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
I think it's safe to say that your case about having a penalty doesn't have any legs to stand on.

even if you mentioned it, it is a fact.
Iniesta deserved to see red.

Make dem free them. They deserved the victory and they are through already. Barca players don't need any mid week matches anymore. They need rest. Lucho messed up big time. He could have rested Messi, Neymar, Masherano, Iniesta and Busquest against La Real. He would have used Munir, Batra, Kaptoum, Arda and Samper. This move could have freshen up the already tired legs.

When I suggested this... Someone misunderstood me but we now know the truth...

They are not machines or invincibles... But humans!

Now we have the deal with the fatigued players. 3 points left and no more points should be dropped if we gonna win. It's Valencia this weekend and they are battling for survival, they gonna be out there to get max point. Hmm.. I hope all turns out positive for us tho

Useless team!!!

Without redcards and penalties, barca winning a big team is almost impossible.

Yes, he doesn't need to prove anything to doubters. I just he wins it.
But, as you have rightly said, it's either Bayern or Athletic only if the two are not drawn against each other in the semis.

They have started again, poor soccer analyses is barca fans' forte. When real wins they will disappear or will start writing something else here .

mcdreeezy:
Yes, they deserved the win. From this point onwards, I'm rooting for Bayern or Atletico to go all the way and win it.

BTW, how's Chelsea doing?

I told bykebyke that barca should forget this yr ucl once athletico finished with 11 men . Meanwhile , Chelsea is experimenting against next season

So ATM's are sons of Satan ? If athletico could play what they played pre Torres red card and be cautious of matching orders, then barca should be thinking of preparing for next season's ucl glory.

I know that defence is very stingy its their attack that should give city fans some hope but if they have been scoring that na serious problem for city.

Aleix is back..Alves should just be put on the bench indefinitely..Jordi Alba shouldn't play a game until next season.. Sergi Roberto can fill in for him and by the Summer we get a defender and a replacement for Alba.

John Terry got a red card, but chelsea still triumphed and went all the way to lift the trophy at your team's backyard.

If I even say make I dey count...

04/05... Drogba was redcarded at cmpnou when chelsea was leading which eventually was the reason why they lost.

05/06.... Del horno was redcarded at stamford bridge.

08/09... Dani alves was redcarded, yes, but then, the ref's entire decision went against chelsea. It was obvious.

Everyday for the thief, oneday for the owner.

Blessed are those that witnessed athletico madrid destroy barca.

I was here when it happed!!!

I don't think I have ever engaged you in an exchange of words before,so forgive me for asking why the negative attitude? If I misunderstand you,my bad,but my comment wasn't just in relation to Iniesta being shown a yellow! It was in reference to a whole lot of other comments you've posted here like referees favoring Barcelona.

If you don't expect people to disagree with you...I just wonder why you comment at all!

Real have won it before and can win it again.
But, expecting me to wish Madrid win it at the expense of Bayern and Athletico as a Barca fan is the height of hypocrisy. Same way Madrid fans have prayed all day long against Barca winning another treble. I don't know what's hard to decipher in that really.
