Is a pity that the president cannot even defend his country .This is a shame to us as a nation.he automatically agrees to the statement made by David Cameroon.

TheFreeOne:

Are you still surprised at Buhari's utterances

Imagine this

Are people still being killed enmasse? Or is he claiming such still happens without public knowledge

I am not his fan but Buhari handlers are doing a very bad job in the area of public speaking/interviews and diplomacy.

How do you want his handlers to do? Be present in his mouth and utter the words for him? There is a saying that you don't teach an old dog a new trick. This is the best the man can be. A reflection of what our society is and has to offer. Let's just be happy with him and give our goodwill. I always tell people that the opinion of you people have is not the one got from public forum but what is discussed in private recesses. Example is what we saw transpired between the prime minister, the queen and the archbishop. It was an honest discussion of what they feel about us, it was a private talk mistakenly landed in public domain.

PMB is always like to portray himself as a saint in the midst of corrupt people at any opportunity. He wants to form sincerity but This kind of questions are answered diplomatically. For example one of the answers to the questions should have been something like

"Corruption is a global issue affecting us all. Some steal money, take it out of the country while some accept stolen money into their system. We are very much affected by this scourge. My administration is fighting it head on. We have increased the pace of which we are punishing people involved in corrupt act and also creating systems that will checkmate corruption to happen in the first place. We will definitely win the battle"

Instead of saying they sat down and shared $2.1 b. Was he there when they shared it? Or has the court convicted anyone yet? This looks like a beer parlor answer. we can talk about specifics in house but not talking carelessly outside. You don't join outsiders to amplify issues about your problem but try to diplomatically water it down. Every body knows our corruption is worst than all the other countries put together but we can't just join others to blow it to our face let alone coming from the number 1 man. Buhari should learn how to talk about our issues especially to foreigners. This is bad.

The last time I checked, GEJ cleared the whole territory before handing over. You and I all watch the Aerial bombardment of this aminals. even a channels correspondent followed our air force to shot the live bombardment. Who will forget Gen. Olukolade so soon. Everything from the mouth of our tourist president and supporters are all lies. If they sat down to share money, didn't you collect SUV from Dasuki and 300,000 pounds. You are fighting corruption but the imam that collected 4billion naira for prayers is still doing is daily business but Olisa metuh that collect 400 million naira was charge to court. When did 400 million naira becomes bigger than 4billion naira? Hypocrite

No Nation is as corrupt as Nigeria..What kills us is Greedness simple.......
...........................................................
Buhari himself is very very corrupt,Ask him how much he stole when he was PTF chairman, ask him about the Halibuton Scandal
........................................................
No politician in Nigeria is corrupt free but what happens is that some are more greedy than Others...Is there any Govn,Si-nator that never stole..Why then are some impliciated and some not?
The answer is:Greedness.

Lemme tell you something, I am in the mood for a little lecture. As a representative of a nation, much more the sovereign symbol of that nation, you do not, you must not accept any poor labels for your country, you must deny it vehemently, you are an ambassador.

Yorubas say inu ile eni ni a ti nje ekute onidodo , roughly meaning you do not wash your dirty linen in public. It is elementary diplomacy and international relations.

Abi you think oyinbo are not corrupt? Oyinbo are the grandmasters of corruption, yet you nor go hear am for them mouth. Abi can Obama say Americans are all 'fantastically corrupt' people in an interview with Amanpour?

Integrity and honesty are qualities of a good leader. I keep wondering how u guys expect him to defend the statement. If u were once a leader, u will realise that there r some problems, u just have to admit, face and tackle.

Corruption is killing this country. There is nothing to defend or cover up, its obvious to the world already. Corruption is killing Nigeria drastically compared to the so called whites country u were referring to. She needs help.

Our chief diplomat and symbol of sovereignty says presides over a corrupt country without differentiating between govt officials and the old farmer in Osun. And people are dancing azonto.

How do you want to attract investment and tourist? When other countries are busy emphasizing their strengths. grin cheesy

Hope your kidding with your comment. If not always try to understand the context of a sentence. Nigeria is fantastically corrupt" does not mean all nigerians r corrupt. It simply means there is extremely high level of corruption going on in the country.

Bros you are just speaking grammar. What that statement has done to us as Nigerians is, foreigners will be looking at us from that corruption lens. No matter how incorruptible you are,the first thought that pops into their mind when they learn you're nigerian is corruption. PMB has just reaffirmed that stereotype with his response.
