It unfortunate that the level of hardship in Nigeria today may force a few to go the suicide way! Its a pity that an average Nigerian politician is a super-greedy. I wonder when Nigeria got so comfortable that a single human being that got a political appointment will before the end of his tenure erect a building on Nigerian soil that worth over N1,000,000,000. See how many zeros that figure has, do you know how many helpless youth that sum can transform? This cannot continue for long. Something uncommon has to happen! Big up to Ymödulus and others that have lent a helping hand to guys in need!

This money sharing ish has totally killed the vibe of this thread. Now nobody cares anymore, 5k don show. Even those that can feed themselves are fighting for the 5k.

This is the exact reason why there is NO hope for this country. Until we come together & say NO to all cosmetic solutions being rubbed on our faces upandan; Nigeria & Nigerians will continue to suffer, Saraki's unborn children will continue being the senate president, You will continue receiving 5k to shut You up.

Instead of sitting at the comfort of your home, complaining, chating on NL, whatzapping etc why cant you find something doing, like farming, Poultry farming in Nigeria is becoming lucrative, also there are other lucrative farming business like planting of plantain which requires less stress etc. there are many opportunities like dat in farming. With the FG adoption of Egg in feeding nigeria schools one meal per day, the demand for egg will increase in few months time, and i think it takes nothing less than 22weeks or so to start egg production with layers and it takes an average of N800 per chick for feeding from DOC to maturity (these are rough estimation) Ogun state govt give 50% discount on land purchase for farming, Presently am about to purchase a land in Oyo state for farming at the rate of 60,000per acres and also an interesting thing is dat labour in those area is so cheap.

Think brother, research, work and succeed.
A nation can not survive with this kind of thinking mentality.
God Bless you

I'll love more details on this bro.

Oh my, such kind hearted people, what I'm really happy for is the fact that we have potentially created a ripple effect of kindness that hopefully would spread in the coming years, no sane person who was given freely, that will not give freely in future..
For everyone that was helped, please read this and take in its contents, out of what you're given, spare some change for the poor child or man/woman on the street..
Wish you all good luck, and God bless everyone who made this possible, from the brilliance of the OP to the thoughtfulness of all the donors..

I understand where you are coming from, bro.

Do you know why till this day, a nationwide revolution has not begun? It is simply because Nigeria is not a united country. We are not one, and we have never been one. I don't see it happening, EVER.
Once a section of the country feels they are being shortchanged, all the government needs to do is appoint someone from that region into a certain position, and what happens next is, the people will say, "well, one of us has been appointed. Let's wait and see how things go. Maybe the government has remembered us afterall"
This happens consistently. It all boils down to tribalism along with it's varying interests. Now that we feel that the FG is appointing mostly Northerners, majority of the south complains. Once a prominent position is given to, say, someone from the SS, that region keeps quiet a bit. AS IF SUCH AN APPOINTMENT EVEN MEANS ANYTHING TO THE COMMON MAN IN THAT REGION!

It's not totally an issue of cowardice. No Igbo man will rise up in protest over a Yoruba village that gets ransacked by Fulani herdsmen. No Yoruba politician will lose sleep if Boko Haram suddenly wipes off an entire LGA in Damaturu. No Hausa man will lose his appetite if a sudden epidemic wipes off half the population of a rural community in the Niger Delta.

It's the same reason why, when a politician is being investigated for corruption, his kinsmen will rise up in protest, and call it witch hunting sad
It's also the reason why, every politician in power is like "I need to loot as much as I can lay my hands on right now". Knowing that it is a temporary position, without much accountability.

Bottom line, no tribe or groups of tribe is ready to lose his life over a country that most of us feel no allegiance or loyalty to. Will you, for instance, accept to lead a ragtag mob that decides to march to Aso Rock tomorrow morning? of course, you'd first ask yourself if you are the most affected from the hardship ravaging the country.
The very first factor that ensures a successful revolution is UNITY. Once everyone is unified in their political conviction and decide on achieving the same goal, then a revolution might just be looming. Go read up the history of countries that had a successful revolution. A united front was the common and overwhelming factor. As it is now, in Nigeria, it is every man for himself.
You are right bro. Thanks for the new perspective to this issue. However, although I agree with the fact that disunity and a lack of self belonging to Nigeria are the obstacles to one Nigeria. Don't forget that it is this same Elites and Politicians that use this to emphasize division amongst us for their gain. Trust me if these three regions break up, in this individual groups. This same cycle will repeat itself. For example if the Yoruba become a new nation on their own. I can promise you that soon the Ekitis, the Ijesa, the Egbas and other sub ethnic groups will scream marginalization against and the solution again, the Yorubas again break up.
Eliminate the elite and the current political class and you Nigeria is saved to an extent.

Some people here will still fraudulently receive more than that 5k, instead of giving 5k to 15,20 people, can't those same 15,20 people come together and use that money start something tangible? I know we still have Nigerians that will contribute to such. Eg buying that 60k land someone talked about earlier and planting plantain and banana. Won't we grow better that way? My opinion tho.
Btw, me sef need 5k o.
