I see nothing wrong with what Pastor Adeboye said

Guys with no job : Why is your d8ck hard with empty pocket? Convert that strength and effort into prayers and job application. Children need to eat, bills need to be paid. If as a woman you feel you are okay with paying all the bills and taking care of a man that will come and mount you every night after you have worked all day, then disregard this advice.

Women who can't cook: If not for your own sake or your husband, what will your children eat? Indomie is not food and a lot of outside food have unhealthy ingredients. Cooking healthy and yummy meals for your family will not make you less of a woman - or man. If as a man you feel you are okay with cooking then disregard this advice.

What's there to complain about?

My sister, this comment is one of the few SENSIBLE and MATURE comments i've read coming from both male and female members of this forum since this whole issue began yesterday. Most people know exactly what he was driving at but have deliberately decided to let their foolishness trend on social media, instead of wisdom.Like someone said yesterday,'even to insult herbalist, dem dey fear consequences, how much more a respected man of God like Pastor Adeboye'. Its simply an advice. They can either take it or quietly leave it.No need running insults on one of the world's most respected servants of God.

Pastor said don't Marry a Jobless man but he didn't say don't court or befriend a Jobless man. Marriage is not Courtship. Please think it through.

You are asking the wrong question.
The question shouldn't be if one can marry a broke ass man but rather the question should be if you find yourself in love with a man who happens to be broke at a particular time, will you be willing to help him become the man God intended him to be? That is the right question to ask.

There's just too much emphasis on wealth these days. A man who is close to his God and loves God will do everything in his power to provide for his family, no matter how little. It is only a selfish woman who would emphasize that her husband must make more money than her before she can regard him a man
Lo and behold... here's a virtuous woman

On such an issue and despite being married for over four decades, the humble man of God should not have spoken with so much authority.

I have a friend who married when he had no job, today, one and half years after the wedding, he has a good job with a child. I have seen instances where after the wedding, the husband lost his job....and another situation where the groom had no job, still went ahead to get married, turning the couple into beggars after wedding , the wife later moved out of the house when the 'fine bara' became unbearable...

Obviously Pastor Adeboye is just trying to be realistic, because he must have seen more cases of the last example in his church and around him, hence the outburst. However, I believe he is only human and that is where God's supremacy comes in: Only God knows tommorow!. The Pastor should not have spoken with so much authority on d issue. In fact he should have kept mum and use the pulpit to talk sense into our leaders for them to make jobs available for the youths....
Awesome moniker, man.

Gen. 2: 15, God took man and placed him in the garden to tend (work) it before giving him a woman (wife).
Gen 4:2,17. Cain and Abel had work to do and cater for the family.
Prov. 6:10-11. A little sleep and a little slumber brings poverty ( Prov. 24:33-34)
1 Thes. 4:11-12 Find something doing so you will lack nothing
2 Thes. 3:10-11 No work, no food.
So, as a man, if you are not prepared to work and you are waiting to get married, it shows you are not aware of the responsibilities of a husband and a father. It is not by prayer and fasting but through diligence and hardwork. Don’t be deceived, marriage is not palm wine that you taste and drop.
Ladies, the man might have a vision but find out the plans he has to pursue that vision in God. God is not a gambler!

Isn't it absurd how some people of this generation are quick to ridicule a man for airing his views on marriage? At no point did Pastor Adeboye say he was quoting from the bible nor did he say "God said..." Not having a job shouldn't deter a man from wanting to get married after all everyone was once jobless before landing a job. However the problem is still staying unemployed for a long time after getting married. I guess that was the message Pastor Adeboye was trying to convey to members of the church he's shepherding. Now, let me ask the ladies here a question: Would you marry a man who's perpetually unemployed, and isn't making efforts to getting employed? Now to the issue of cooking. We all know the African adage "The best way to a man's heart is through his stomach." Cook a man a delicious meal and you're on the path to winning his heart and respect. Now, guys how would you feel if you're married to a lady who doesn't know how to cook anything other than instant noodle with eggs, and isn't making any conscious efforts to learning how to cook?

The Bible did not discuss or mention masturbation. However, would you consider masturbation a sin?

I am sure you would. Because it is. You know it is. Hence if you find your child, male or female, masturbating you would probably spank that child.

We love to indulge in self-denial and take refuge in the, 'the Bible does not say this' argument. Those are just banalities. There are some things that are common sense. There are some things that one learns from experience. If a Man of God tells his sheep- and yes, we seem to forget that he said this to his RCCG members at an RCCG conference- why should he be berated by outsiders? I do not see the point, especially when he has not said anything that is illegal or unconstitutional.

it is about the thought process that goes into masturbation.....remember what the bible says about looking at someone lustfully. The pastor is not all knowing.....and frankly speaking his points on what determines a good wife is wanting.

You guys are not zombies you don't take everything they tell you without thinking.

Someone once asked. What if all the powerful men of God gathered themselves together then called a meeting of all christians. Let's say adeboye or the pope stands up and says "we are sorry we have all been deceiving you". What would you do?

Just like when Apostle Paul broached the issue of marriage and celibacy, he clearly gave a disclaimer : He was speaking for himself.
The least I expect from baba is to have done likewise, such statements credited to him could be very misleading and could lead more people to hell.
Let's ask ourselves : Would Jesus have made these statements? All through the books of the gospel, did Jesus ever say something similar? I don't know about you buh Jesus is my role model.

Pastor Adeboye's message on all these issue is specifically made for ministers in RCCG and even not for the congregation so I wonder why all these babies in christ if only they are one are crying for the bones which were not prepared for them.
Re: Types Of People Who Wouldn't Like Adeboye's Words Recently by pavlovt: 8:03am On Aug 04, 2016

Admittedly, you put a very good defence statement about masturbation. However, those in defence of masturbation will put a much better defence statement, justifying it with 'spiritual arguments' and the usual altruistic statements.

Remember the defence that certain people put out when a certain popular preacher was alleged to have defended that act?

Again, I found your statement extremely presumptuous and at best, hilarious. Who is 'you guys'? Did I tell you that I attended a church, let alone RCCG?

Of course I didn't. Why the preposterous assumption?

Let's be clear on my position here— if it needs to be heard anyway. The Pastor was speaking to his members at his own organised conference. Any outsider that argues based on that is, in my opinion, a busybody. He is not an elected public official nor has said anything contravening the constitution— why should be be berated by OUTSIDERS? Did he organise the conference with YOUR tax money? Of course not. I don't get this. Do you?

Secondly, if I were to put myself in the shoes of his members, he said things that were purely common sense. Solid common sense. Why would I want to get married to someone who can not cook?

Nigeria is a funny place. I hope I would see such arguments say, about the immoral lyrics in the music of our musicians one day. I know I'm dreaming, hence its a 'hope.'

2 Types Of People Who Wouldn't Like Daddy Adeboye's Words Recently

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God recently made some comments on marriage that didn't really go well with some people and here are two(2) major people who didn't find it funny

1. Girls/Ladies who cannot cook: Who would agree with me that almost all girls who cannot even boil egg didn't find daddy's message funny. Because of that, they abuse, accuse and misunderstood him. Believe me, no man loves to eat out when he can possibly use that money for his wife to prepare something that would last than spend it just on one plate of food that won't go anywhere at Mr Biggs

2. Jobless Men: Pastor adviced ladies not to marry a jobless man and almost all jobless men didn't go well with it. An angry man even called him a bastard because it didn't go well with him. Ladies be wise. Such guys can kill. Listen to daddy and take note. Marry a man with vision.even if he is yet to land a job, soon he would.
You can add yours if you know of any.
something contradicting here, "Marry a man with vision.even if he is yet to land a job, soon he would." the pastor said dont marry a jobless man, then your adding jobless man with a vision.my opinion, please leave the pastor with his position on dont marry a jobless man because even if the vision is big, bright and PROSPEROUS without a job,he is still seen as a jobless man by rccg and doesnt deserve a wife. as far as am concern, their point has been noted, rccg women will leave thier husbands, create problems and even ridicule their husbands when he is eighter out of job or his business fails. dont cover up for him
Re: Types Of People Who Wouldn't Like Adeboye's Words Recently by empress4u: 8:55am On Aug 04, 2016
It's advisable to marry a man that has something doing no matter how small it is. If you go on to marry a man that does nothing in the name of, "he will later find a job", you maybe marrying a potential lazy man. That's what papa meant.
When my husband proposed to me, he was working but not being paid.

Looks like someone has forgotten that we're a royal priesthood and that we're forever a priest after the order of melchizedek
Wait there for your pastor to receive the instructions from the 'man of God ' and then relay it to you in trickles.
There is a reason why the curtain of the Holy of Holies was divided in two when Christ died.
And just like Apostle Paul said, i also consider myself as a baby in Christ, not content with where I am but pressing on to be better in christ. Thank you, those of you who are adults in Christ
