I got a response from them on the 21st of Sept that "your processed passport has been dispatched on the 21st Sept. from Vac Accra to Lagos" while waiting for Vsf Lekki to get back to me for my passport pick up I got another message with the same content that"your PP has been dispatched on the 26th Sept..... I don't understand this changes in the date and up till now I have not heard anything from Vsf Lekki,I called dem no response. Can I go there to pick my passport without inviting me to come? I need my passport for a very important thing. Thanks.

Just send them a mail on info.cannig@vfshelpline.com and quote ur tracking number in the mail and u can also use ur tracking number as the subject of the mail, they'll get back to u if ur passport is ready for collection.

I know linking an app online isn't compulsory. But in case of medical call up or changes to one's application, how will an applicant be notified if he/she doesn't want to link an app online?

Cos it seems like the only certain emails VFS sends are the application forwarded and dispatched mails.

if you didn't link it online when medical comes it will drop in ur mail box and other changes you wouldnt know but if linked online,you will get a notification from CIC telling you to log on to your account that you have a new message or account has been updated..every info whether changes in application status, medical mail note,POE,refusal letter,e.t.c drop in your CIC ACCOUNT if Linked online..some complained that there own letters didn't drop but mine did that very day

Besides there is a guy that got 'visa' with his PGC/PGD at University of Fraser Valley (which is similar to your case) few months ago, so no worries.

I think he's talking about the situation where he didn't link his application online. Bamz am quite certain that CIC will mail you directly giving you instructions to proceed with your medicals. Don't forget you included your email address in your study permit application form. Don't worry you'd get your medical mail.

Well, as regard your admission to carleton, you will have to send the official transcript to them before they can treat your admission file and possibly give you admission. Dunno if you haven't checked your student dashboard, but it's stated there that you have to send official copy of your school academic transcript to them. As for dalhousie university, I think they also do request for official or notarized copies of transcripts and supporting docs. As regard your visa app to resume for January next year, I will tell you categorically that you should forget about resuming for January admission(am not trying to discourage you brother and please don't see me as a pessimist)because analysing critically now, Carleton will need the official copies of your transcripts before you can be offered admission (if merited) and if carleton has not mail you (ad a reminder) requesting for the official copies of your academic transcript, it means your file is yet to be attended to. And with that, you're still likely to wait for more weeks before you can get admission decision and considering the time you're gonna spend in getting your transcript, mailing it to them and before they receive it, it's sure gonna take couple of weeks. The visa app processing time now is approximately 16 weeks which even if you get admission letter today, and you're so fast enough to gather all necessary documents by this weekend and ready for submission on probably Monday or tuesday, it will take the grace of GOD for you to get visa by December ending.

Hey guys, am a silent reader here and have been following the threads on here. I applied for study permit on July 22nd online, got the medical call yesterday September 29, did my medicals this morning in ikoyi. I pray it will all end in praise. School is Red river college, course is Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Closing acc balnace its roughly 5m.

How come the US seems to be issuing visas while canada is dulling people..The people I know who all applied to the USA all got visas while the ones I know who applied for canada were all denied including one going for MSC...Is it that canada doesn't want Nigerians again or what.

I think one should just travel out and apply to Canada from any other place aside Nigeria.

This year has been abnormal with Nigeria and Canada. Seems the VOs are seeing applicants from Nigeria as people trying to run away from the country pending the recession we are facing.

God help us all and our expectations will never be cut short.

I have never been insulted the way a representative from Lambton for Nigeria one so called Chioma Udom insulted me today. She claimed my university was not part of the schools recognized by LAMBTON and so I can't be offered admission for a certificate course.
