[quote author=Atdor post=50006257]Gud day everyone.
Pls I would need ur advice. For the past few weeks now have being calling virtually all the nos of hospital n doctor's I got on this thread. But responds were poor n not encouraging.

I. Hello I was in Katy when i went into labor and I gave birth at Houston Methodist sugarland. Oakbend is also along the way. You can use a doctor from Oakbend group and use either Methodist hospital or Oakbend medical center. Which ever you use let your host check the distances and you will know how much time you have if you are in labour. Though I paid the 600 some people have come with doctors correspondence only without appointments letter.

Missionary journey officialy ended. Was worth every hard earned dollar invested.

Was lucky /favoured all thru.
Testimony: Received a refund of over $1000 frm Northside hospital!! My joy was difficult to contain. Dey said its cos i spent one night and wateva else adjustments dey made. Me, i didnt care jare. Took my chq wen it came in d mail, cashed it (b4 dey change their mind) and fled . Dis na after getting my zero balance.

Returned to naija yesterday with Air France. D costs expended In d waka include

Hospital bill - pre paid $3550 via Form A. Wen d refund is deducted, bill becomes Abt 2300 for baby and I (hearing test and odas inclusive)
Doc-$2200.my main ob/gyn didn't take delivery, Doc on-call did. Loved her. Collected zero bal.

Scan-$132

Lab-$164 after discount. (upon say na only two tests dem do! GroupB strep and HIV. Did a lot in naija and it was used. Dey insisted on repeating d HIV own sha)

Circumcision - $217 after discounts

Paediatrician - Total after 3 visits nd Hep B vaccine $315

Bc took over 2wks ( Northside has "a lot of babies" like dey said)- $25

US passport -$165 . Came next workin day

Did naija passport and did d whole sending money order to innovate services and all. Expedited to get same day . Extra $65. Was soo fast. Did not spend more dan two and half hrs at their office b4 i picked it up same day. Total $172

SSN took 3wks

Air France - infant ticket $363. All my talk to come down on dat charge for a lap infant no work. Bt dey tried for me in baggage sha. I overshot d total approved weight for i and baby by abt 40lbs. Dem no collect extra money frm me for it.

Thanks to everyone on this wonderful thread. Dis is a really great forum and i pray it all ends in praise for everyone.

I disagree with you, the ticket at BA as I was told by the customer care I called amounted to 274,750 but its bank that will use their own exchange rate of 322 against BA 314 as at that day. When you book with agents, at the point of payment, it is not the same price you see at their site that you pay too.
I don't agree.
When u book with agent what u see is what u pay.

Final payment figure is what we are weighing now I believe. Got the $845 ticket at a little cheaper than the airline's quote. The agents' price most times are some lil bit cheaper than that of the airlines. Downside is what happens if one runs into issues on the ticket purchased? The airlines got the edge there, they handle better.
For agent
What u see is what U get.
But I suggest u buy a flexible ticket if u r buying from agents. Wakanow vs Travelstart ( will pick the latter because they are more flexible and changing dates or issues with tickets isn't a biggie).

So do d maths
An agents flexible ticket vs the airlines websites.
Which ever is cheaper or more convenient for u

1. HOW ARE YOU
DW : AM FINE
2. HOW LONG WILL YOU BE STAYING
DW :3MONTHS
And she was stamped till April.
No further questions. And she is 35wks.

It was just God.

Omobendel24 if you're going for childbirth please buy from airline, if not buy from agent if you're sure of your dates

Firsttymum the man's wife was asked how long she was staying and she said 3 months and he released her to go, in that houston p.o.e and she's 35 weeks obviously he saw her tummy, maybe he didn't just have time to drill her and just decided she should go, her luck shine o, as for me o, any question i'm not asked not need to answer, maybe if he said what are you here for Ehen she would have said so, but he didn't ask her na.

Anyway. That was the intention from day 1. Our visa application was B2 medical. And at the embassy I was the principal applicant, so I made it clear she was going for child birth. The VO only asked for the budget sheet and my statement of account. So why will there be questions when her tummy was already showing and there was already an appointment with her doc on Tuesday.

There was no reason to lie about our intentions.

Since you have less than a week left before your departure i will strongly advice you pay Oakbend the $600 and use them, since it's not to far from Katy. And also find out from them if you can use the Methodist at Katy for delivery. You just have to make up your mind fast and make a move, time is not on your side o

Hopefully someone has answers. If not use sites like Expedia or priceline.com Just type the name of the airport and you will see closeby hotels. Read reviews.

They refused to give her at all or they refused to give her at their office but insisted it must be boarding gate?

What problem did they have with the letter?

i mean she got the dollars but wasn't given in their office. The dollar was given to her at the boarding gate, she said it's their new rule.

Good day all. I am a returning preggo mama. Husby wants to fill drop box and I insists he states medical for me. He said he will attach all our previous receipts for my last delivery. I will just be preparing for a follow up appointment if called or should I just pick an appointment date and go for an interview. I have calculated the amount spent on hospital and doctor F the last time was about 7k, I hope they won't say it's small based on VOs assumptions that child birth cost up to $15,000. I have the documents for the zero balance

. When you send an enquiry to a doctor he or she sends his quote the hospital he delivers and cost of the hospital. But an appointment letter shows a specific date of appointment , that you have made a prepayment. They even state you are thier patient.

I don't think you are allowed to add things like receipts when submitting passport for drop box. They are usually very strict with documents you can add. Will advice you still do drop box and fill in doctor's name and address as US contact, that way it's obvious you are going for medical, and if they are still not satisfied and invite you to come for interview, you can then go with your receipts .

what do you think about my second question if am called eventually

Do I just go ahead and use same budget but state that due to current exchange rate which is three times I will be spending more.

If peradventure you are called for an interview,i would advice you get a new doctor and hospital correspondence you should reflect the price quoted in your budget sheet , all the same i think you are in order with $7k assumption,,most people that apply for visa on this thread usually gets quotes in that neighbourhood . If the issue come up,tell them it's cash/selfpay package ,they can contact the doctor if they are in doub.

Sis if it's electric breast pump please endeavour to buy new tubing. I heard it's unhygienic to reuse after a period of time but I stand corrected.
