I think your problem is that you don't know what makes up a salary. Cooperatives deductions is part of salary Mr man. Some workers cooperatives deductions are even higher than their net income.

For instance a worker is collecting N40,000 as net income in a month but he contributes as high as N50,000 in one cooperative society and N30,000 in another one.. All these are deducted monthly and are not being remitted.

The teachers agreed for part of their money to be removed and sent to cooperatives society...ONWARD, to be precise.

The teachers didn't even knw that their deductions weren't remitted into the cooperative acct because the leaders of the cooperative agreed for the govt to borrow it..the teachers were getting their normal salary (minus deductions) until loan requests piled up and the society cldnt meet them... That was only when the cooperative society opened up...

Now, he did paid them three months ago and promised to pay the rest before the yr runs out...how is thr local govt election a problem to them that they had to go on strike? Is he owing them any salary? Or is he paying half salary? Deduction is even like 20% of the whole salary- how is d rest, a half salary?

And whenever loan request pile, the govt pay the society some money from the owed deduction so that loans cld be assessed.

Abeg, like I said, don't talk abt wot u don't knw

When I say civil servants, I am talking about Ministry officials. I'm just stating my experience with civil servants, there are more bad eggs in the civil service than good, they are the most useless bunch of people in the country. Together with Police, they are the most uselesss group of people in the country. When you wake up in the morning, you pray that in the course of your activities, you do not encounter a policeman or a civil servant, am I lying?


When a building collapses, who was responsible for enforcement of building codes....civil servant, when a road fails, who was responsible for ensuring the contractor followed existing specifications....civil servants. Go to any govt ministry, you will see millions of dollars worth of school, hospital, agric equipment rotting away because some civil servant is waiting to be bribed before he releases it for the purpose to which it was intended. but people should remmember that virtually ALL over-inflated contracts have the signature of a civil servant. You cannot steal without civil servants...like Fashola said, "i don't sign cheques", who padded budget? I can go on and on. No matter how good your policies, if you leave them in the hands of Nigerian civil servants to implement, it is sure to fail. Evil people, evil servants!!!
