Bnimz: I don't get what you mean by "had been 64". Please, can you explain further? She already had 10 points from IELTS Academic. We are only trying increase her scores to 20 since it is generally thought that PTE is easier to beat. |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Bnimz(m): 3:42pm On Dec 18, 2016 |
40manlappy: oho, okay.. I thought PTE was the only test... In retrospect, I should have remembered that una don submit EOI sef, which isnt possible without English... Now, to explain what I meant..... 65 is the benchmark for 10 points,,, if she had gotten 64 in that speaking, it would have been zero points from that test. 2 Likes |

amanda0: My contributions aren't as strong as Oga cos I no dey Auz... however, from my research, these are my answers... You can access benefits the moment you arrive... 2 years, no.. I never read that.. University isnt free but there are student loans and stuff [H.E.L.P] University IS FREE for Doctorate research degrees.. The recommended amount for maintenance is at least AUD 20,000.... But I imagine that is overkill... 10,000 AUD should do, but then, I dont know how large your family is, or your spending habits.. Personally, I plan to come in with minimum of 5000 AUD... but then i'm a young, single nigga 1 Like |

@Amanda0, PR holders can access family tax benefits and child care benefits on arrival while the remaining centrelink assistance have a 104 week (2years) waiting period starting from the day of arrival. Child care benefits is a discounted child care fee. The government pays percentage of your fee depending on your family income. Family with low income can get as much as 90% discount. To be eligible for Child care benefits, your child/men's immunisation must be up to date. People with children should come with their children's immunization record and take it to the nearest hospital or clinic to you when you arrive. The doctor there will be able to put it on the system and also advise you if you need additional immunisation. It is free for children. Undergraduate studies are not free but you will be charged at domestic student rate. Some courses are Commonwealth supported which means the government pays percentage of the tuition while you pay the balance. HECS fee help which is the students' loan is only available to citizens and those on permanent humanitarian visa (refugees). Masters by research and PhD are tuition free for PR holders. Could you please stop quoting posts from A - Z? It takes up unnecessary space.. A few words from the post are enough to determine which post you're referring to. Thanks 1 Like |

keleto:For me, yes.. Its just me, myself and I... .. From my research, 5000 will be enough for about 3 months.. And I definitely won't be there without working for 3 months.. Even in UK, I started working 2 months after I arrived.. And I waited that long only because I be student... There's always low level work to do... Na the professional jobs dey take a while to get.. 1 Like |

Amanda0, Learn how to quote properly and you don't need to quote comments, just type name. The way you quote makes it difficult to read your questions from the quoted statement. If your friend is not an electrician yet, he can get an apprenticeship job from tradie companies. He will be paid at an apprenticeship rate $12/hr. Alternatively, he can enrol for certificate IV in electrical in TAFE or any training organisation. It is advisable to go through the apprenticeship route. Don't ask me how to go about it, when he/she lands, he will know or ask Google. If you are reading posts other than asking questions, you would have read that Medicare has been discussed severally. Yes, Medicare is part of what you get when you arrive and it doesn't cover dental ailments for adults. Human services website is where you can get detailed information. A child born to PR holders onshore is given citizenship even if the parents are yet to be and I think about $1500 is paid to the parents after birth. 3 Likes 1 Share |
