laudate: All this twisting of grammar is pointless. Were the plotters of the 1976 coup mainly of Angas/Plateau stock? Simple yes or no. If yes why did you and yours not label it as "Plateau coup"? After all despite concrete statements in Ademoyega's 35 year old, unchallenged, authoritative book to the contrary, you and people like you are still contorting yourselves into odd shapes to insist that the 1966 coup was an "Igbo coup". The main plank of this thread is an article which alleges that Igbos as a group somehow deserve blame for Nzeogwu and co. So relax, we will examine every angle to this discussion. 2 Likes |

nku5: Guy, there is no twisting of grammar anywhere. In fact, if any twisting has been done, it has been carried out just by you. I have answered your question as to why the January 1966 coup has been tagged an Igbo coup - it was because the shots that were fired by coup plotters that night to kill political leaders from other ethnic groups, came from Igbo soldiers. Is that explicit enough? Now answer my questions on the deaths of the Sardauna, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and Festus Okotie-Eboh. Still waiting! 1 Like |

Newmanluckyman: I do not know what kind of answer you want, you this chameleon with multiple identities. On different threads, people said 'Anioma people were NOT Igbo.' Your IPOB crew screamed blue murder and alleged vociferously that they were Igbo, using all the ammunition and propaganda at their disposal. Those who disagreed with them were labelled Afonja and insulted to an inch of their lives. Okay, o! Now today, people are saying on this thread that Anioma folks are Igbo, and you are still complaining. What exactly do you want? And why are you getting worked up, by this statement? Afterall, not all the Igbo coup plotters were Anioma. Other Igbo coup plotters like Onwuatuegwu who was an Igbo from Nnewi, and Anuforo who also hailed from the South-East were part of the whole event. 1 Like |

laudate: This is shameful. Jokes apart. The accurate half of your confused post states that Fani Power was FREED AT THE MESS. Why are you still asking k-legged questions? Ironsi's troops were AT the mess when Nwobosi's group arrived. IRONSI'S men arrested them and freed Fani-Kayode 2 Likes |

nku5: Oh, because I omitted the word 'death' from the second comment, you are now jubilating? Trust you, to seize on inconsequential omissions. Ok, where is the answer to my previous question: The Sardauna, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and Festus Okotie-Eboh did not resist arrest, but were still shot by Igbo coup plotters. Why?? This is the 5th time this question has been thrown at you, and you have remained mute. When are you going to provide an answer? 1 Like |

laudate:.... But why the insult? Is this not supposed to be a friendly discourse? So your lies and hypocrisy have been punctured. Desist from outright falsehood. From the bolded, please who are the 'people'? So I can rightly say that ' people 'said that you are from Togo. Truth is the oxygen of the soul. 2 Likes |

nku5: Haba!! You are the shameful one, now! You said that Fani-Kayode was freed by an Igbo son, who was Ironsi. Point of correction - loyal troops or officers of the Nigerian Army were at the mess, when Nwobosi's men got there. Yet, Ironsi was nowhere near the Federal Officers' Guard Mess when Fani-Kayode was escorted by the acting Minister of Defence, out of captivity. So why are you ascribing Fani-Kayode's escape from death to him?? Finally, answer the simple question that you have been asked repeatedly on this thread: "The Sardauna, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and Festus Okotie-Eboh did not resist arrest, but were still shot by Igbo coup plotters. Why?? |

Newmanluckyman: It was not an insult, but a description of you and your actions. Do you deny that you have multiple identities on NL? As for lies and falsehood, yourself and your brothers, have been regurgitating it repeatedly. Simply do a content analysis of their posts, and the facts will be revealed. My own comments have been backed with facts and different sources. While those recycled by your friends and yourself have been filled with conjecture, fallacy and assumptions. So, desist from spreading utter lies, please. Now, who is telling lies and peddling falsehood, but you and your IPOB-ian friends on this thread? |

laudate: This gets more childish with each reply you type. Stop scurrying around and dribbling yourself, you are smarter than this! Let me spell your 50 kobo sense out for you - You typed some unbelievable jagbajantis in your post - 1. That Fani-Kayode escaped while Nwobosi's men were trying to get Akintola in Ibadan 2. That the same Fani-Kayode who "escaped" in Ibadan was freed in Officer Mess, Ikoyi, Lagos 3. That Ironsi cannot be given credit for the release of Fani-Kayode by the troops that he (Ironsi) commanded because he didnt do it personally Chai!! Its as if you are playing dumb to save face and it wont work. Stand by your words like a man and stop looking for silly, shallow holes to hide... |

laudate: I have never seen a grown man do this .. So when you claim that Gowon won the war do you mean that Gowon singlehandedly defeated Biafra? So because Igbos are now involved the military chain of command suddenly doesnt matter and a commander is suddenly not relevant? Same way 1976 coup is not "Plateau coup" but the 1966 coup is "Igbo coup"? Besides shamelessly dribbling and denying what you typed for the world to see you now want to contest Ademoyega's account because it easily crushes your propaganda and lies. Even if I upload another account regarding Sardauna's resistance to Nzeogwu's men you will still look for a cockroach hole to hide from the truth My goodness... |

nku5: You see, your childish tactics are getting more ridiculous by the minute. It has become a form of comic relief on this thread. I have made several valid points on this thread, backed by facts. But you are only fixated on the aspect that concerns Fani-Kayode, as if it puts coins in your pocket. And the only reason you are doing this, is to deflect attention away from the questions I asked you, which you cannot answer. For the umpteenth time: The Sardauna, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and Festus Okotie-Eboh did not resist arrest, but were still shot by Igbo coup plotters. Why?? 2 Likes |

nku5: And I have never seen a grown man like you, hiding under the garment of inanities and digression, in a bid to escape from the truth. Grow up. I have answered you as to why the January 1966 coup was seen as an Igbo coup, while the 1976 coup was not seen as a Plateau affair. Go back and re-read my comments with an open mind for better understanding, if you can. As for the Sardauna's death, you have not said anything that makes sense. The Sardauna did NOT resist arrest, yet he was killed. His wife Habsetu, did not resist arrest but she was shot in cold blood. Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and Festus Okotie-Eboh did not resist arrest, but were still shot by Igbo coup plotters. Why? Try to answer the questions, without digressing again, or clutching at lame straws like the 1976 coup or FFK's father! 2 Likes |

I have used my precious data to upload Ademoyega accounts that have been accepted over 36 years of scrutiny. All you have been doing is dribbling yourself. The best you have done is to copy and paste a link and an article that contradicts you badly |

You have refused to see the evidence, I provided. Now, for the umpteenth time, "The Sardauna did NOT resist arrest, yet he was killed. Eledan: Na true word you talk! I should have listened to your advice, earlier. You need to see all the tactics they have deployed to attack me on this thread - from claiming my comments were false (even when relevant supporting documents were cited), to digressing and rambling about the 1976 coup, to whether Anioma people were Igbo and then on to FFK's father. nku5: Hehehehe.... I love this. You are using unclear images from Ademoyega's book to support your fallacy, ba? Did Sardauna fire a gun at his captors or did he arm wrestle them, in this so-called attempt to resist arrest, that you are trying to portray here? For your information, it was Nzeogwu and his men that blew up the gates to Sardauna's house and shelled his residence, before they then got to Sardauna and killed him. They had a lot of fire-power at their disposal, so why did they have to shoot the Sardauna who was unarmed? Oya, I repeat: "The Sardauna did NOT resist arrest, yet he was killed. His wife Habsetu, did not resist arrest, but she was shot in cold blood. Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and Festus Okotie-Eboh did not resist arrest, but were still shot by Igbo coup plotters. Why?
