Guys so ABS are champions of the first NPFL u15 promises having defeated Kastina united 3-1. ABS captain Olasegun Olakunle was the MVP and Million Koma (enugu rangers) is the highest goalscorer with 11 goals although they finished fourth behind Niger tornadoes and the former two.

Little Boys... little stars.... little promises for the future.... I pray we can sustain this and expand the publicity.

Nigeria can rule the world of football with a lot more organization and sincerity as regards our best talents.

Kudos to the LMC for a job dome nicely at first try. We expect a much better edition next time.... smiley

Iheanacho was full of running and my defenders couldn’t handle him. The space he created by dragging them was what allowed Victor Moses the chance to score twice” Coach of the Algerian team Georges Leekens said at the post match conference.

http://owngoalnigeria.com/2016/11/13/algeria-coach-iheanacho-made-it-easy-for-victor-moses-to-punish-our-defence/

FULL OF RUNNING.

I wonder if you even know Iheanacho self.

Yes when the defender passed the ball right into Moses path for him to score that was Iheanacho. When their defence fell asleep and allowed Mikel to trap the ball in their box, make a phone call and score that was Iheanacho. Ofcos Iheanacho led Onazi to pass the ball to Musa who then found Moses. Yes the coach who never won anything in is life and is now fired was so right.

Anthony Ikedi © FK Haugesund

KAA Gent sign two Nigerian youngsters
by George Akpayen

Belgian Pro League side KAA Gent have completed signing two Nigerians, Anthony Ikedi and Reuben Yem this week, supersport.com can report.

The two talented players hail from the famous Jos-based GBS Football Academy renowned for producing young gifted players and were hooked on three-year deals each by the Belgian club after their chief scout visited the academy in Nigeria recently.

Ikedi, who stands at 198cm and plays as a defensive
midfielder, has already been sent out on loan to FK Haugesund while right-back Yem, who is described as a crafty tough and pacy utility player, will stay at the Ghelamco Arena as he has already received his work permit and is eligible for selection once he arrives in Gent in the summer.

FK Haugesund's Jostein Grindhaug who has watched Ikedi at the GBS academy, believes the 18-year-old has "very big potential" to become a big star which is one of the reasons the Norwegian club signed him on loan.

"Ikedi is a physically strong player, with good feet and has a very big potential that we look forward," Grindhaug said.

The Norwegian outfit were however quick to land their man on loan just before the March 31 deadline of their transfer window.

Ikedi will now wait to make his debut for Haugesund once a work permit is granted from the country's authorities.

John Ogu

Ogu's winner guides Beer Sheva to title
by Andrew Randa

Nigeria midfielder John Ogu was the match hero for his Hapoel Beer Sheva side as his late goal gave his team a 2-1 away win at Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Ogu's strike ensured that Hapoel Beer Sheva retained their Israeli title.

Fresh from the famous win over rivals Maccabi Haifa in their last game, Beer Sheva fell behind in the 28th minute from a Vidar Oern Kjartansson strike.

The reigning Israeli champions rallied back and got the equaliser in the 12 minutes after the restart from the boots of Maor Melikson.

It was left for the Nigerian to pop up with just a minute left in regulation time to score for Beer Sheva and earn his side the three points that all but sealed the championship for a second season on the bounce.

Hapoel Beer Sheva top the Israeli league with 80 points after 33 games.

Official – Gent Snap Up Promising Nigerian Defender Rueben Yem On Three Year Deal

18 year old Nigerian defender Rueben Yem has joined Belgian side Gent from Golden Boot Soccer Academy (GBS), Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

The right back was signed alongside Anthony Ikedi who was loaned out to Norwegian side FK Haugesund, but Rueben will team up with the team when they resume for pre season training in the summer.

Rueben who is also comfortable as a left full back or defensive midfielder received his work permit two days ago, and will travel to Belgium towards the end of next month to start his professional career.

His capture takes the number of Nigerian players at the club to six with Samuel Kalu, Moses Simon, Anderson Esiti, William Troost-Ekong and Rabiu Ibrahim also at the club.

Overall the team now has 8 Nigerians on their payroll considering Peter Olayinka and Ikedi are out on loan to Dukla Praha of Czech Republic and Haugesund respectively.

The only other highlight I have of his entire super eagles career was that flick he give to Emenike for him to score against Burkina Faso at the group state of AFCON 2013.
