Gud day friends, am at the stage of taking the English Language test, my assessing Body(Engineer Australia) specified it must be TOEFL or IELTS and it must be taken b4 submitting any document for assessment.
I want to hear from the gurus in the house, if it must be taken first and also which of the language test is easier. Thanks.

Hello house, please i am not pursuing PR but i will be in Sydney for abt 2 weeks in October for a conference and i will really like suggestion on hotel, transportation etc. Do you advise i stay in a hotel in CBD Sydney (closer to the conference venue) or u suggest outskirts/suburbs that i can stay that are cheaper and i wont incur cost on transportation.

Well it depends on where the conference is located. There are short stay accommodation that you can get in Sydney and trust me they are way cheaper than hotels. You can google short stay accommodations close to the conference and you might be lucky to get one closer to the conference then you can walk down and you won't have to incur cost on transportation.

It's all about knowing the tips and tricks of either exam. Some people say it's easier to nail your 20points with PTE. Though the speaking for PTE can be frustrating, you can ace it only if you can speak in the accent the computer understands.
IELTS on the other hand has its own style. It can be preferred if your thoughts flow better while writing on pen and paper than typing on the keyboard. Also if you prefer speaking to a human being than a robot. It takes longer time from booking the exam to seeing your result - maybe up to 2months, whereas PTE can be booked like 2days before and your result is out in a few days.

We applied to be assessed as Telecom Field Engineer
which is skill level 2. But they are said we are over qualified for that and gave us Engineering Technologist outcome.

Hello evHello, there is general question for engineers, how much time do they take after EA ask about rescan of degree and a person send them immediately, my case was in progress for four days and then EA asked me to resend my MS degree, should I expect positive result by Monday?yesterday I was asked by EA to resubmit scanned copies of my MS degree and transcript as they were not clear, there was also a confusion in one of my reference letter where they asked me that I had missed two years in the letters, but Everything was there in the reference letter but they missed it, I resent the MS degree and transcript, also clarified the reference letter. I am wondering that these observations are taken after they have read my episodes or before reading them, my guess is that after reading my complete CDR these two would have been the observations, what do u say? Expecting positive result by Monday
