Ajayi, Yusuf , Chikatara In CAF Champions League Battles Wednesday
By Johnny Edward

Nigerian striker Oluwafemi 'Junior' Ajayi will make his fifth appearance in the Total CAF Champions League competition for his Egyptian side, Al Ahly when they take on Chisom Chikatara's Wydad Casablanca in Morocco on Wednesday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Ajayi was on target for The Red Castle in their 2-0 win in the reverse fixture, and another victory for the Ahly, and their coach Hossam El Badry will ensure they advance to the knockout phase for the first time since winning the title for an eighth time in 2013 when they beat Orlando Pirates of South Africa in the final.

The Egyptian champions and Zanaco of Zambia top Group D with seven points after three games, while Wydad Casablanca have three points and Coton Sport of Cameroon none.

Ajayi's compatriot, Chikatara, has made one appearance in the competition this season and has not been listed for the encounter tomorrow at the Mohamed Benjelloun complex in Casablanca.

In Algiers, the Nigerian pair of Stanley Ohawuchi and Maroof Yusuf will be in action for the 2016 beaten finalist Zamalek when they take on USM Alger on Wednesday in a Group B encounter at the Stade du 5 Juillet, Dély Ibrahim.

Both players have been listed in the 21 man squad, with Yusuf poised for his fifth appearance this season. Ohawuchi will make his sixth appearance if he gets to play.

The former national U-23 star has scored twice and provided one assist so far.

The White Knights’ previous match against the Algerian side ended in a thrilling 1-1 draw, which maintained Zamalek’s first place position in Group B with 5 points.

USM Alger and Al Ahli Tripoli are in second and third positions respectively with four points though USM have a superior goal difference while CAPS United from Zimbabwe are fourth with three points.

Hmmm i read your beautiful post and that of Supernerd, but my submission is this,we already have a team that beat Zambia and Algeria but due to injuries, players like Ikeme,Mikel,Balogun were out, also Moses was un available,Omeruo couldn't make d starting lineup

The South Africa match have come and gone but we learnt a lot but d technical crew learnt more than us,there should be no emotions or sentiments in their own analysis of things,is either they performed or kick out.

Whether we like it or not Cameroon game we be decisive coz of age rivalry, being Africa champion is a plus for them, also being a leader in our group is a great advantage to us,all we need is to go back to basics coz we started well under Rohr but something went wronged against south Africa and must be addressed without sentiments.

Rohr first assignment was Tanzania match and later Zambia but against Algeria he brought out his XI team, namely Ikeme but injured,Akpeyi came as a replacement,Omeruo as RB,Echiejele as LB,Onazi as DM,Balogun and Ekong as CB,Iwobi at d right midfield,Victor Moses at d left side,Mikel and Etebor doing it at central midfield and Nacho doing it upfront.

The match against South Africa saw lot of changes especially due to injuries to some players and this brought imbalanced to d team and Rohr failed in this aspect, for instance d pairing of Onazi and Ndidi was an eyesore,it is not compulsory for d two to make starting lineup, despite Kante of Chelsea rise,he is still a second fiddle in French national team,Benzema despite wearing Real shirt, find it difficult to break into French national team of late.

Despite the presence of Onazi,Ndidi which i believe is enough for now, some are clamouring for Esiti, whereas Agu is in d waiting,do we need to invite all this guys coz i realized they are all DM.Instead of inviting Agu and Esiti we need to give room for attacking midfielder like Ajagun or put Iwobi in his right place so that absence of Mikel w not be felt.

If care is not taking Rohr we still get it wrong against Cameroon coz looking for a striker at this time to prosecute Cameroon match is out of it,we already have Nacho,Kayode,he should just add Ideye who is already part of d team and move on.

Rohr should just revisit his XI against Algeria with omission of Akpeyi and probably Iwobi with Ideye coming to d line up to give Nacho chance to do his things.

My line up against Cameroon is Ikeme in goal and 4-3-3 formation with Omeruo, Echiejele,Balogun,Ekong in d defence,Onazi,Etebor,Mikel in d midfield,Moses,Ideye,Iheanacho in d attacks, just hope no injury set in,this team we do it against Cameroon.

ok you want us to play a 4-3-3? then either Nacho or Ideye has to sit on the bench. Nacho is not a LWF at all, the pace isn't there and the trickery isn't well developed. honestly we have Etebo who performs best as LWF yet you want to put Nacho who has never played there just because you don't want him to sit on the bench?

now here is my own analysis. I can cry from now till August but Onazi will start so I have to put that into consideration. the CB pairing will be Balogun and Ekong, in the full back roles we have a problem. Echejile and Omeruo will be totally murdered with pace if they venture forward at all, So we are in a tough situation, either we play with sitting fullbacks (the way Abidal used to be a sitting full back for barca) and sacrifice their offensive output or we may be needing honest replacements. The reason is simple, Onazi will start and like we saw in the last game he is not going to cover for these guys when they go forward and these guys do not have enough pace to cover that entire wing in less than 10 seconds so they should just sit back or attack timidly so that they will never be caught out of position. in that case we need true wingers that can work virtually alone I would even recommend playing inverted wingers so that we won't even be crossing the ball at all thereby reducing the number of times we utilise the wings. the wing forwards will cut in and either look for a passing option in the middle of the pitch or look to shoot, in that case the starting wingers have to be Moses and Etebo, that's their natural position and they are very good there. If Victor Moses isn't available then we should look for anybody beside Simon because all he does is put in senseless crosses again and again, no offence.

then the middle is where the problem is. given the opportunity I would say don't even start Onazi but barring any injury he will start, call it sentiments or whatever. in that case Mikel has to drop into the CMF role, he has a football sense so when Onazi moves forward or gets caught out of position like we know he will, Mikel will either sit for him or instruct him to fall back, that's the work of a true captain. now since we already have a CMF who can thread brilliant passes through to the forwards we need a route one AMF, that's the type of AMF that will look to beat opponents and score not the type that will be passing and passing in the middle without the ability to shoot, outwit opponents or even score long rangers, if I am to choose between Ajagun, Aluko and Iwobi it will have to be Aluko preferably or Ajagun in that order. No offence to Iwobi but 1) we need an AMF that can also cover for Mikel in the cmf role because Mikel isn't the fastest player in the world so the AMF needs to drop really deep at times and cover a lot of grounds too, Iwobi won't last twenty minutes
2) we need an AMF who can also get into goalscoring opportunities. Mikel is there to create the chances we need someone who can put them away. if we have another creator in the team with only one true finisher it's going to be another problem.

then for the striker. if we are playing a 4-3-3 and not a 4-5-1 I don't really see why Nacho can't be the main striker. in this case he won't get isolated. playing Ideye will not work because he isn't going to put away those chances, and from the look of things we aren't going to invite any other striker so it's rather simple. if we can put out something like this I don't really think we should have any problem against the cameroonians and if we can get Enyeama back that would be a big plus. Ikeme is coming back from an injury, he will be risky

Mickael2:

nice point, but you know playing a possession based game requires a lot of mobility, on other words it means our fullback have to be moving constantly to provide passing options, now what happens when we have a misplaced pass? those Cameroonians are seriously fast, at some point against Chile I thought their feet weren't touching the ground when they started running. there was this particular incident that I want to highlight, I think it was that defender wearing a long hand that misplaced a pass before three seconds Aboubakar was already in front of the goalkeeper and if not for a lucky leg from the goalkeeper and sheer utter luck it would have either been a goal or an own goal. now this affects us because we don't really have possession based guys in our team. we all know Onazi will start, I don't really trust Echejile's ability to maintain possession, if he receives twenty balls I almost expect him to lose five and against those quick guys any misplaced pass is surely going to create an imbalance. So I don't really think we should approach the game with a Barcelona-style possession based game rather with a Van-Gaal style possession based game, that is one were we retain possession in our own half mainly so that we are never caught out of position because we lack pace to deal with them

We need to maintain shape at the back. We need to adhere strictly to this to prevent gaps in case we lose the ball.

With respect to the full back, we need the full back to play in a disciplined pattern and the defensive midfield shield to give more work in this respect.

If the left back goes forward, the defensive midfield must drop a bit deeper to prevent space for them to attack us. Also, the right back must maintain his position, forming a three man defence and a defensive shield in front of them. When once the left back is done with build up play, he must return to his position.

With two creative midfielders and three forwards, we do not need the full backs committing so much during attack build up. Our defensive shape is more important than forward attacking play in this scenario.

I agree with you with keeping the ball in our own half but we should keep in mind losing the ball in our own half is dangerous, so our defensive shape is the most important in this aspect.

Also, we need to return with pace when we lose the ball. More players must contribute to winning the ball when we lose it.

I am talking about Suarez here, Suarez does not have body strength? a player who weighs 85kg does not have body strength? just admit that you didn't know that Suarez can shield the ball not this lame excuse you want to cook up

Are you reading what you are saying?

The way Suarez shields the ball is not the way Crouch, Bony, Drogba, Lukaku etc does it. Read. He uses intelligence, skill and quick movement to do it. It is shielding but with less body strength unlike those mentioned above.

When a football man talks, you cannot help but listen. Respect to you Mr Mastoroudes.
He talked like someone who followed the after game analysis on this thread.
.................

Mastoroudes : Super Eagles Have Capacity To Overcome Bafana Setback; Must Fight Cameroon ‘Fire To Fire ’

By Nnamdi Ezekute:
Veteran Nigerian football administrator and onetime boss of Leventis United FC of Ibadan has predicted that the Super Eagles will stage a strong comeback following a disgraceful 2-0 defeat to Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Nigeria host Cameroon in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on August 28, looking to win and extend lead in the Group B of the African qualifying zone.
Mastoroudes, slams Gernot Rohr's team for confronting South Africa without grit and losing disgracefully at home, but believes
the Nigerian side has the capacity to bounce back on winning note if the coach and players get back to work with the hard lessons learnt.
"I am still optimistic they will bounce back. Yes, we lost the first match of the AFCON qualifiers, but we haven't lost everything. There are still many matches to play. We were wounded but we're not out yet," Mastoroudes tells Completesportsnigeria.com.
"Cameroon is the next game. We must resolve to stand up to them fire to fire.
"I saw Cameroon against Chile at the FIFA Confederations Cup. They have speed, great physique, height and power. It is a very important game to play, and we must win it to qualify for the World Cup.
"I am convinced that Nigeria can fight well and win when they have their back against the wall."
The Greek-born Mastorodes continues on his desire to see the national team his adopted country bounce back from the loss to South Africa.
"We did not play well in that match against South Africa, so losing it was inevitable," reckons.
"I felt that the players approached it like a friendly match. It's like they didn't realize the importance of of the game. I was very disappointed with their performance. Like I've always said, the new crop of Nigerian players coming through have the capacity to go far, but unfortunately they didn't show that promise against South Africa.
"I notices too many weaknesses in the team against South Africa. For example, the two full-backs were so much below par.
"The Eagles initially held the game but lacked creativity to to last the distance and then allowed South Africa to come up in the match.
"Going forward, Moses Simon was holding the ball, doing all sorts of tricks, but his final touches were so pathetic. Ahmed Musa was a disappointment when he came in. Most of us believe Musa is fast, but many African defenders are faster than him. His speed was completely neutralized by the Bafana defenders.
"Iheanacho was played completely out of position. We need a top class centre-forward. The forwards were substandard against South Africa. I did not see one Nigerian forward that I liked in the match.
"I was also very disappointed with Arsenal boy, Alex Iwobi. He didn't play well in that match.
"The only player who impressed in the midfield was Onazi. He fought like a lion, but unfortunately, he was on his own.
"I think we missed players like Mikel Obi in the midfield. And of course, we missed Victor Moses. He is such an important player for us. Without him against South Africa, the Super Eagles lost 50 per cent of his capacity.
"Going by the selection that played South Africa, I can say we don't have a team. We should just forget that match and concentrate on the future games.
"I have confidence in the capacity of the talents Nigeria have. We need to work very hard going forward. Hard work is the alfa and omega of every team. I believe we can improve. We should look for and get the right players to man the positions we have found to be weak. We have the players."
He also challenges Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr to brace up with the lessons he must have picked from his howlers against South Africa.
"Yes, the coach is to blame when the team loses, but it's a very good lesson for him. When people talked highly of him – about having not lost a match, I said good, the team must play more matches to test him properly. He may not have expected the players to play badly like they did even with his selection lapses, but it's a lesson for him going forward," he says.
"It's up to the coach now. He should get the right players for the positions. We have them out there. The team must work harder and play African football. This is important. They must play African football, not Oyinbo football. We have the talented players who will play that brand of football and make the difference."

@bolded 1, I keep saying it, we don't need to play players in a makeshift position in other to accommodate them in the team when we have enough players in that role scattered allover the world. I think there is politics at play in the selective selection of players.

We have been having problems with the LB position since the late Keshi wickedly blocked informed Taye Taiwo from the National team. Till today all the players brought in struggled to fit into that position. But the irony of the whole issue is calling and playing Echiejile who hardly had game time last season ahead of many LBS who played regularly last season for their various clubs.

Yes! The likes of Taye Taiwo and Mohammed Yousef(imagine NFF and coaches pretended not to know him) should be called and tested in that team through friendlies to ascertain their level of fitness and quality with immediate effect. Brian Idowu should also be considered despite the rumors of him chosen to play for Russia because I don't believe our biased, sentimental and one lopsided press.

For the RB, why call Shehu Abdullahi when we know he has not offered anything tangible to the national team? Is it to share the allowance among those who gave him a mention to the coach, at the detriment of a whole country?

This has to stop once and for all. The likes of Tyronne Ebuechi and Ehizibue should be considered first then Ola Aina and Moses Odubajo after resolving their eligibility and playing regularly for their clubs. But for the match against Cameroon, I think Brian Idowu is best for this position though he's equally good as a LB, CB etc.

@bolded 2 emphasizes on lack of creativity and putting all your eggs in one basket.

The coach packed Etebor, Iwobi, Ndidi and Onazi in one basket without any quality replacement on the bench to bring balance to the team if these fizzles out in the course of the game hence the confusion experienced when the going got tough and when the lacked ideas of what next to do.

Most of these players where played out of their natural position, the case of Etebor a natural LW was played as the creative midfielder, Ndidi as the central midfielder, Onazi as the DMF, Iwobi as the LW and Iheanacho as the Striker. This is cluelessness of the highest order and it ought not to be so.

Ndidi should had played the DMF because there was no time in his football history career he played as a Central midfielder.

Onazi should have been given the central midfield role or John Ogu who also is a guru in that position but the gullible and ignorant coach dropped one of the most experienced and suitable player from the match and dropped Onazi deeper in the midfield.

Playing Etebor who is never know for being a creative midfielder to play that was a big gamble that was payed for.

The absence of Mikel Obi opened many foul yanch in that game because many thought Etebor was the best since agege bread against Algeria. Mbanu! It was Mikel Obi the guruguru of Super Eagles that did the creative works on that victorious day. Enough said.

The likes of Alex Iwobi, Abdul Ajagun, Sone Aluko and Raheem Lawal should be allowed to do what they do regularly for their various clubs. It's very glaring the are better.

@bolded 3 should be addressed with immediate effect. The boy can create space but no good striker good at the air were able to utilize the crosses. Meaning we need a striker good both on the air and on ground. Period.

@bolded 4 is what we Nigerians have been saying here and now a foreigner devoid of sentiments has confirmed Iheanacho was impotence as a lone striker. He was played out of position. It will do us and him no good if the coach continues to play him there. He even termed them substandard while some are too sentimental to see. Thank God say no be for my mouth dem here else hell go release devil today. grin

@bolded 5 Confirmed Onazi was the best in the midfield. Gbam.

Oshaniwa was a revelation under Keshi and helped us on the left back role. It was under Oliseh we had a dip in that position and it has continued.

No one said Onazi did not work hard. He was a tyrant but a disorganized one. The reason Onazi works so hard in midfield is because of the amount of gaps he makes due to his disorganized play. We have talked about this before we qualified for the World Cup in Brazil.

Mikel looks lazier than Onazi on the field but his impact is more. Food for Thought. Make sure you finish your meal.

Shehu Abdullahi was not commanding but he did the most important thing, covered his flank and helped Ekong stay organized. It is the same debate we are having about the strategy to play against Cameroun. We do not need our full backs bombarding forward with recklessness. They should only do it when it is absolutely necessary.

I hope Rohr looks into Onazi playing in the Right back position. He was immense there when Keshi tried him on that role. His stamina to run up and down the flanks was utilized highly.

@bolded write up is a very brilliant one. Kudos.

This is the highlight of the whole pattern of play 'we need an AMF that can also cover for Mikel in the cmf role because Mikel isn't the fastest player in the world so the AMF needs to drop really deep at times and cover a lot of grounds too, Iwobi won't last twenty minutes'

In the light of the aforementioned, I will suggest Ajagun to play alongside Mikel because they can both play AMF and CMF very well which will enable them interchange in the course of the game. Brilliant analysis. grin

TheGoodJoe:

I agree with you with keeping the ball in our own half but we should keep in mind losing the ball in our own half is dangerous, so our defensive shape is the most important in this aspect.

the bolded is the entire point. Onazi will start, do you think he will do that?he didn't do it in the last game so all things being equal he won't do it in August. That's just my main fear

Also, we need to return with pace when we lose the ball. More players must contribute to winning the ball when we lose it.

That's the problem African teams have. they don't know that the world has moved on from DMFs that run around the entire pitch like mad without performing their main duty. now football is perfectly organiZed, guys like Busquets and Nzonzi wouldn't survive if they are playing for African nations because they don't run around like Onazi. Matic too would have been a goner since day one but football has moved on, Onazi was the most agile and noticeable midfielder on the day but if we judge strictly on what each midfielder should be doing then he was the worst I don't know how that is hard to grab. That's why I respect Icon4s, he didn't even recognize that Onazi was the DMF he thought he was the CMF and immediately we corrected him he kept quiet, why some guys don't understand this sure beats me

Radio Leicester Claims Iheanacho To Leicester City From Man City Is 90% Done

Kelechi Iheanacho proposed move from Manchester City has received a big boost after claims from BBC Radio Leicester that the 20 year old could join Leicester City in few days time.

Owngoalnigeria.com Michael James who listened to a Radio Leicester City podcast reports the presenters and analyst in the studio during the show all admitted that the move is on.

A Manchester City correspondent also backed their claims when contacted on phone, and he insist the Foxes will be getting a quality player who will no doubt score goals for the team judging by his scoring record.

However they both admit the issue of £25m as transfer fee and the buy back could cause the move to crash, and City are also waiting to have a player lined up as his replacement before sanctioning his move away from the club.

The programme is still available on the site of the BBC for parties interested in listening to the full show, which was recorded and posted on the official twitter handle of the corporation.

Chelsea Coach Adds Right Wingback To Summer List With Victor Moses Out Due To Surgery

Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit of a wingback this summer after surgery to regular wingback Victor Moses, which could see him miss the start of pre season training.

Moses missed Nigeria’s AFCON 2019 Qualifiers 0-2 loss against South Africa as he has to undergo surgery to cure a long standing issue which slowed him down during the course of last season.

The 26 year old according to the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria played through the pain barrier in Chelsea’s 1-2 loss to Arsenal in the FA Cup final, where he was sent off for two bookable offences.

He underwent surgery few days ago and he is currently recuperating, and initial reports gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com has it that he could miss the start of their pre season training due to start in three weeks time.

Depending on the length of time he will be out coach of Chelsea Antonio Conte could be forced to dip into his transfer budget for a right wingback, especially as Moses was their only credible option in the role last season.

Success confident of a better second season as Watford enter a 'new era' under Marco Silva
By Hertfordshire Mercury's Matt Storey

FRUSTRATING YEAR: Isaac Success found first-team opportunities limited at Watford

Isaac Success' first season at Watford did not necessarily go to plan, but he is determined to put that right come August.
Walter Mazzarri and the young Nigerian's relationship was not always rosy, with the Italian frustrated at his attitude and perceived lack of professionalism.

Success was fit for the second half of the season, but was handed just one start, against Tottenham Hotspur at the start of April, and found himself out of the matchday squad for the final three games of the season.

But Marco Silva's appointment means Success has a fresh start when pre-season kicks off.

"It certainly will be a new era with the new coach," he told AOIFootball.com.

"We hope for a better season starting from August 12. I really want to do better in the coming season for Watford."

Success has also been the subject of some confusion with the national side.

There were claims that he missed the games against Togo and South Africa because he'd asked for extra time off due to tiredness after the season, but it turned out he had picked up an injury.

And Success wanted to reiterate his commitment to his country.

He added: "I feel bad that I have not been able to feature for the Super Eagles. There have either been injuries during the times I was invited or other issues.

"I am, however, restating my commitment to the national team and I promise to give my best and shine whenever I'm called upon."

Sam Sodje: Eagles Can Exploit Slow Cameroon In World Cup Qualifiers
By Izuchukwu Okosi

Former Nigeria international, Sam Sodje, has pinpointed an area of weakness in the Cameroon team which the Super Eagles can exploit when both sides clash in the 2018 World Cup qualifier in August, and in the reverse fixture later, Completesportsnigeria.
com reports.

The African champions lost their first game of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup 2-0 to Chile on Sunday, and Sodje spoke exclusively to Completesportsnigeria.com on what he feels the Eagles can do to outwit the Indomitable Lions..

"Cameroon proved that they are a very good team at the Nations Cup and now at the Confederations Cup match against Chile. We saw them play very well as well, " the former Portsmouth, Charlton Athletic and West Brom defender told Completesportsnigeria.com on Tuesday.

"But there are certain weaknesses in their game that the Eagles can exploit. From the match on Sunday, I noticed that they are slow on the ball in the defence and their midfielders gave away the ball too often. Their buildup is okay,k but their final balls let them down a couple of times.

"I believe the Eagles coaches are taking notes. Based on these observations, it means that we (Nigeria) will need to play them with very fast and physical strikers."

Cameroon's next game in the Group B of the 2017 Confederations Cup is against Australia at the Saint Petersburg Stadium on Thursday.

Nigerian Defender Eyes First Team Debut For Manchester United, Mourinho Impressed

Young Nigerian defender Matthew Olosunde is hoping to make his first-team debut for Premier League powerhouse Manchester United in the new season.

Manager Jose Mourinho was amazed by the progress made by the right wing-back in the 2016-2017 season, with the Portuguese gaffer naming him in the provisional rosters for Premier League matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

The 19-year-old Olosunde also trained with the first team ahead of their Europa League clash with Celta Vigo last month.

''I'm very happy with how the season has gone," Olosunde told ManUtd.com.

"Just travelling with the first team was a big thing for me. It's a lot different when you are actually with them. You just think 'wow'!'

"They're all friendly and talk to you to try to help you out. I was training with them for a bit and it was a great experience. I really enjoyed it.

''I would have loved to be involved in the matchday squad but it's good knowing, eventually, I could get my chance and I will just need to take it."

Olosunde's wonder strike against Real Salt Lake in the Dallas Cup was nominated for Manchester United Goal of the Month for April 2017.

Dennis “Nigerian Neymar ” Bonaventure Dazzles In Open Session With Club Brugge

Highly rated 19 year old Nigerian forward Dennis Bonaventure popularly referred to as “Nigerian Neymar ” stole the show in Club Brugge open training session that took place yesterday.

Bonaventure joined the team from Ukrainian side Zorya last month after a storming first professional season in Europe, as he starred in their Europa League campaign as well as domestic games.

Known for his pace, strength and dribbling, he resumed with the team last week and in their open session his quality was very evident as they step up their preparations for the UEFA Champions League Qualifiers.

Already he has been tipped to have a big season with the team due to his ability to play various roles in attack, as witnessed last season at Zorya where he played in almost all attacking role.

On a personal note he will be looking to increase his goal tally of six from 22 league games last season in Ukraine, which wouldn’t be much a problem considering his new club have an approach that is more attack orientated than his former team.

Except u are Rohr or own Rohr's hear no one should say Onazi was the DM cos no one can claim to know that. A team can play without a DM. If you feel that's a lie, why does EA sports have fifa formations without DMs? We too de claim coach for this forum just to drive home a point. I was one of the people really upset with him after the game in the heat of my emotions. However, having watched the game 3ce, I'd have loved to have 3 Onazi's in MF on the day. I disagree. They are quite slow compared to ours.

I very much doubt if their defenders can keep up with Musa, Simon, Success, Iheanacho, Kayode and Moses if our midfielders led by Mikel keep probing their defence line with those nice through balls in behind their back line compared to ours keeping up with Bassogog and Moukandjo.

Besides Vincent Aboubakar is not fast... Nacho and Kayode are way faster.

Looollll.... this one made me laugh oooo.....
cheesy

So you play EA's Fifa, Konami's PES and First Touch's Dream League eh? cheesy

Lots of formations don't come with DMFs but you and I know that in some of these formations, DMFs are present but not by the name "DMF" but "CMs/CMFs"

Example in the 4-3-1-2 formation... the "3" there represents three CMs .... but normally a coach in reality will put a ball playing DMF as one of those three and he will play centrally in front of the defence.

Other formations without the actual DM tag is the 4-3-3, 3-4-3, 4-4-2 flat (4-4-2 diamond always has the DM tag), 5-3-2 and so on... but in such formations... one of the CMs must act the role of DM too... wink

Look at the 4-3-3.... Check out Barca's 4-3-3... check out Madrid's 4-3-3, that third midfield player playing centrally and closer to the defence is actually a DM... more like a ball-playing DM but on paper and in games he is labelled as a CM.

So I hope this helps shaa.... I no be coach ooo... loooollll

Because of one game, some people wanna rubbish the super quality of a player.... I am sure when Mastouroudes used the word "Substandard", he was just misunderstood.... I am sure he was not and never referring to Iheanacho or even Iwobi.... people need to chill and stop trying their best to rubbish our young fantastic super talents.... One loss does not make them any less special

The 50 Best Young Players In The World : Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Leicester Nigerian Talents Make List

Telegraph has published a list of the world’s top young footballers under the age of 21, with five players of Nigerian descent included.

Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur), Alex Iwobi (Arsenal), Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City), Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City) and Liverpool-bound Dominic Solanke made the prestigious list.

At number fourteen, Iwobi is the highest ranked Nigeria international ahead of Ndidi (33rd) and Iheanacho (36th), while Alli and Solanke ranked fourth and forty-seventh respectively.

Here are some of the comments about the Nigerian wonderkids by the editors of the British newspaper :

Alex Iwobi: ''A perfect Arsene Wenger player, versatile, intelligent and quick, Iwobi hasn't looked out of place alongside established stars like Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.''

Wilfred Ndidi: ''Signed in the hope he could help fill the giant N'Golo Kante shaped hole in Leicester's midfield, while Ndidi hasn't quite solved those problems, he has proven to be a fantastic buy.''

Kelechi Iheanacho: ''Has had his first team time reduced under Pep Guardiola's management but Iheanacho is one of the best young strikers around''.

Dominic Solanke: ''Solanke recently moved to Liverpool after coming through the ranks at Chelsea, which might concern those at Stamford Bridge who watched the striker win the U20 World Cup with England''.

The top five features Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe, City's Brazil wonderkid Gabriel Jesus, Borussia Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele, Dele Alli and Germany international Leroy Sane.
