lawland:The only statement of result you can use is if it's an Aussie uni, according to Engineers Australia. If NA naija, just go and drink Fanta, and buy shoes while you wait for your convocation. But then, I faced similar issue, what did I do? I sent an email to my VC, stating some story mixed with the truth. And he directed me to go pick it. If not for the certificate delay, I for don apply 189 since. But try hard, people get cert before convocation. Just get your story right and talk to the right folks |

Many thanks to you all.. I do appreciate the prayers and we'll wishes.. Good news is that there is hope for the second kidney and he will be out of the hospital this weekend. There is power in prayer not downplaying the efforts of the medical team also. The exam went well, finished today. One of the best exams I have written... Thanks to you all for the support and all. I will go through the thread later today to see if there is any question yet to be addressed. 9 Likes |

bellong:Wow. This is good. We thank God. There's so much delay from DIBP. It is taking too long to grant visa. I've waited 6 weeks now. No grant up till now for July intake. Any news from Australia as regards delay in student visa to Nigerian applicants? |

Hello house. I will be graduating from the UK this year in Information Systems. So far so good, my results are out and I smashed it. It was until my final year that I regretted coming to the UK for BSc as it is difficult staying back to work after studies. Let me cut the story short and go straight to the point. . . . I have read from the first page to a reasonable length and known somethings, but I have some questions to ask. I applied to ACS for assessment, (used my transcript + letter of completion in place of degree certificate) and also placement and part time jobs as work experience and within 6 days, I got a positive assessment. I have written IELTS and L/R/W/S = 9/9/8.5/9 I'm 23 years old now and wouldn't be 25 till November 2018. So as it stands now I have 60 points IELTS - 20 AGE - 25 BSc - 15 For this year while going through this thread, I found out that for ACS, 65 points required to get ITA. Now I did some research about how to get additional 5 points and found out that I can get state nomination. Searched for states nominating and found out that some have at least 2 years minimum work experience which I don't have and can't produce because of my letter of assessment from ACS, they sum my work experience to 1 yr 2 months and said only post BSc amounts to work experience that can be claimed. HOUSE please what do you guys suggest I should do in this case. PS: Sorry for the long story and explanation. Thanks |

1naira50kobo: I guess that's why it's called SKILLED IMMIGRATION PROGRAMME. Work experience weigh in heavily in the process. If you haven't worked for a minimum of 1 year in a nominated occupation, I don't know how you want to cure that lacuna. Cheers. |

TEECANN: Yea but I've seen guys on here get grants without work experience and because they managed to get their 60 / 65 points |

[quote author=elirab post=57776332]Hello house. For this year while going through this thread, I found out that for ACS, 65 points required to get ITA. HOUSE please what do you guys suggest I should do in this case. Your spouse can add point for you, you may wanna go do MSC in Oz, you may choose to wait till July 1st for possible reduction of EOI points to 60. It is well. Different strokes for different folks. |

Please for those who used pension statement as a third party document, how did you make sure that all your employers names are reflected on the document. I was at pension office today and I was told that only my current employer name will be on the statement. Please help your brother, this is the only third party evidence I can provide for my previous employment. No tax certificate, no bank statement. My pension manager is Stanbic. Please anybody with similar experience, how did you go about? |

Bros, why disturbing yourself over what is not? I also use Stanbic and like you've been told both here and at the PFA office, you can only have the name of your current employer on the statement. Just ensure that you have spelt out your different employment periods correctly while filling the MSA online form and this also correlates to what you have on your CV and employment reference letters. elirab: i honestly see no reason for a regret here, Just because you're boxed into a corner doesn't mean its the end of the road. Please sir, be very hopeful, What occupation did u nominate? All ACS started with 60 last year..... lets see what July brings, hopefully occupational ceiling can go up for ICT occupation, thereby bringing down the points required to 60pts |
