i honestly see no reason for a regret here, Just because you're boxed into a corner doesn't mean its the end of the road.
Please sir, be very hopeful,

What occupation did u nominate?
All ACS started with 60 last year.....
lets see what July brings, hopefully occupational ceiling can go up for ICT occupation, thereby bringing down the points required to 60pts

Systems Analyst

Bros what do you mean by occupational ceiling can go up for ICT occupation, thereby bringing down the points required to 60pts.
Please I'm really praying that it should return to 60 pts.
Please can you explain
Thanks

Every year, there is a quota (Demand) for each occupation, and there are many applicants (Supply).

If the Quota for your NOC gets increased for 2017-2018, then expect the points to drop to 60.

but if its reduced or maintained, 65 or 70 will be the new baseline for invitation (PRO-RATA)

We are praying it gets increased...........the race they say is not for the swift..........

cc elirab
see attached ... ICT Bus and System Analyst are the most competitive,

but it still boils down to ceiling figures released for July

7 days to go, but who is counting grin

Pro Rata Occupations

these are occupations where there are more EOIs lodged than can be accommodated in the occupational ceiling. For these occupations, the number of invitations issued in each round is limited so that the ceiling is not filled too quickly. As a result, the minimum points required for an invitation may be higher or the waiting time longer for an invitation.

Wow. This is good. We thank God.

There's so much delay from DIBP. It is taking too long to grant visa. I've waited 6 weeks now.

No grant up till now for July intake. Any news from Australia as regards delay in student visa to Nigerian applicants?

Student visa is handled by the embassy in Pretoria, South Africa.

You should exercise more patience as they deal with other applications. I am sure they know your school will start in July. There is no need to panick.

If your application is found worthy of meeting a temporary visa, it will be granted. Worst case scenario is that they request you to ask for extension from school.

@TEECANN,

Could you please reduce the number of repeated sentences? Thanks.

I believe MofePR has done justice to your question.

Like he rightly said, the accounting assessing bodies have expectations of certain courses in your curriculum either through recognised professional qualification or University degree. Once you have these courses covered, you shouldn't have any issue.

Check their website and also email them. Only the assessing authority has the authentic and non-misleading information. What we do here is just to share ideas and advice based on personal experience.

What occupation?

Your question is too ambiguous.

@Koleefem05,

Your best bet is to check AIM website for their requirements. I think with your diploma in marketing and Bachelor degree, you should have hope of a positive assessment.

AIM is particular about the true meaning of a manager. This means you must have some departments reporting to you and not just manager in title but also in function.

I can try to get get you the format for the organogram which is one of the core documents they require.

@Xty114,

What is your qualification?

@easykay011,

What experience do you have?
The qualification is not interested in the class of degree you graduated with but your competency.

There is nothing really for economists. However, if you tell us what your work experience is in, we can be able to give an informed advice.

Thank you very much. I started this process 11 months ago with my first IELTS so glory to the God of information and the goodness of this community. Regarding switching to Subclass 190, i think its easy. All that matters is you score at least 60 and look for the right state to nominate you.

You'll change your EOI to Subclass 190.

I am sure there are others with more information in this community.

Congrats Disectur,

I pray for more of this good news in this house and I pray mine to be breaking news too soon IJN.

Please Disectur, what is the procedure after you have begun the process for visa 189, and for 1 reason or the other, you didn't meet up in points or occupation is filled up, HOW DO you move to initiate the process with a state for the 190 visa?

Cheers.

An older friend of mine seeks an advise from me which I am pushing to you.

He is 58 years old and an entrepreneur. He is interested in emigrating to Australia or Canada or NZ with his family of 4 children and ready to buy an average apartment and inject USD59,000 into the destination economy by establishing a venture therein which his family will be oversees. He will in a short while returns to Nigeria to carry on with his business. Meanwhile he will be visiting his family periodically.

Please opinion and advise will be appreciated.
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by bellong: 3:44am On Jun 24, 2017
@Osila2,

The maximum age for investor class visa is 55. However, state or territory government can waive the age requirement to nominate him if they are of the opinion that the intended business will be productive to their economy.

Meanwhile, $59k is nothing compared to the capital requirements for business stream visa. You can read more about it below

Hello,
As has been said over and over no need for regrets,pick the lessons move forward and use your experience/exposure to guide people.

In addition to all that has been said i would like to add that you might want to consider Canada Express Entry with your age and IELTS results ITA shouldn't be far fetched. Maybe you can try running the two PR side by side and see which works. 40000 USD will do PR for the two with loads of change remaining to do MSC as a PR and still have money left.Its the reason we encourage PR over the Student route except in dire circumstances.

All the best in whatever you decide to do.

elirab:
Hello house.
I will be graduating from the UK this year in Information Systems. So far so good, my results are out and I smashed it. It was until my final year that I regretted coming to the UK for BSc as it is difficult staying back to work after studies. Let me cut the story short and go straight to the point.
.
.
.
I have read from the first page to a reasonable length and known somethings, but I have some questions to ask.

I applied to ACS for assessment, (used my transcript + letter of completion in place of degree certificate) and also placement and part time jobs as work experience and within 6 days, I got a positive assessment.

I have written IELTS and L/R/W/S = 9/9/8.5/9

I'm 23 years old now and wouldn't be 25 till November 2018.

So as it stands now I have 60 points

IELTS - 20
AGE - 25
BSc - 15

For this year while going through this thread, I found out that for ACS, 65 points required to get ITA.

Now I did some research about how to get additional 5 points and found out that I can get state nomination.

Searched for states nominating and found out that some have at least 2 years minimum work experience which I don't have and can't produce because of my letter of assessment from ACS, they sum my work experience to 1 yr 2 months and said only post BSc amounts to work experience that can be claimed.

HOUSE please what do you guys suggest I should do in this case.

PS: Sorry for the long story and explanation.
Thanks
