I understand, but as far as l'm concerned the potential is there and they are growing at a very fast rate. But then name three African countries with the greatest potential of becoming a world powerhouse, leaving Nigeria out of this.
I would pick Southafrica, Egypt and Ethiopia respectively.

Nigeria actually has one of the best healthcare sysytem in africa.

But many factors are on play here, which are but not limited to:

Religion.
Population.
Education.

E.g During a polio vaccination in some states in northern nigeria, people where actually refusing to be vaccinated because they believe it is unislamic.

Yeah Kenya would be 5th in my book, Algeria 4th, Morroco 6th, Ghana 7th.
All of these countries have very great potentials.
