Isn't Auba being quoted at £70m? In a straight choice between Auba and Bellotti, considering all factors, it's insane to spend that amount on a 29-year old, despite Auba being the more established. One long term injury and that's £70m gone. Unless I am wrong about the asking price. Although I am not supporting spending £80m on a player who is not Ronaldo level, if we have to bend to the market trend, then it has to be Bellotti. If the unfortunate happens, I don't believe he can be as bad as not being able to recoup £35-£40m on him, because he is 23. How bad can he be? Summary. I don't believe, considering all factors and variables, that Auba is better valued at £70m than Bellotti is at £80m. Side note: When did we get comfortable quoting such figures regularly on transfer pages? God Punish United. I hope they get relegated. 8 Likes 1 Share |

nateevs: Please spare us of this annoying and boring excuse which is borne out of hate and jealousy for our success not facts. You hate United for her success not because we inflated the transfer market. Normally when Hensben goes about displaying this sorta ignorance -he's the one always blaming United from thread to thread- I ignore him because his football reasoning is very low, but when a supposedly intelligent poster like you displays such ignorance, I wonder how you let hate get better of you so easily. It's okay to hate United, I hate Chelshit too, but being objective shouldn't hurt you that much. Right from the 70s to the 80s, to the 90s down to the 20s, football record have been broken and been on the rise. It had nothing to do with United ALONE. The records broken in those decades have been broken by many clubs, and have gone from when 500k was a world record to when 1m was a world record. If you do a through search, you'll see when 50k was probably a world record. Do you know that The first ever three-figure transfer fee was the £100 paid by Aston Villa in 1893 for Willie Groves? Eleven years later, Alf Common joined Middlesbrough for the first ever four-figure fee, a sum which caused a national sensation and outrage amongst the football authorities. The £5,000 mark was first reached in 1922 when Falkirk paid that amount for West Ham United's Syd Puddefoot , and six years later Arsenal paid the first ever £10,000 fee to acquire David Jack of Bolton Wanderers . After the Second World War, the spending power of clubs in mainland Europe outstripped that of British clubs for the first time, resulting in several substantial jumps in the transfer record. John Charles became the first British player to command a fee of £50,000 when he joined Juventus in 1957, and four years later Denis Law joined Torino in the first £100,000 transaction involving a British club. I'm sure Pogba's deal was the reason David Jack was transferred for a world record fee when Arsenal paid £10,890 to Bolton for his services, after Bolton had asked for £13,000, which was double the previous record made when Sunderland signed Burnley 's Bob Kelly a fee of for £6,500. Yes o, Pogba in 2017 was the reason for that record in over 30 years ago. Clap for yourself. Yes, United were the club that bought those players for a record fee, abi? Blame it on United because you're envious of their success, that's what haters do all the time. United were the one that paid a record fee of 15m for Shearer? United were the club that paid a record fee for a goalkeeper when Juve bought Buffon, right? Because United is the surname of Juventus. United were the ones that created the Galactico spending, based on paying huge fees for the best players out there back then. United were the ones that paid huge sum of €69m for Ibrahimovic. United were the one that paid a world record fee for Kaka And another one for Ororo in ONE transfer window. United were the one that paid a record fee for Bale, abi. If the truth about Neymar's are revealed including all the bribes given, we'll be looking at almost a 100mil deal. Yes, Neymar plays for United, abi? I'm not done yet. Where was this your wish for Chelshit to be burned down and destroyed when Abrahimovic came into the game and bought the likes of Essien, Drogba and Co for huge fees back then, contributing majorly to the madness in this transfer window? Oh, your hypocrisy blinded you from that fact? No, wait a minute. When Chelshit sold Luiz for a record fee to PSG, can you show us your post condemning it, o ye righteous one?!! It's okay for Chelsea to sell players for huge fees abi, but when asked to pay for a huge fee you blame United. Typical Shekpe fan. Can you show us your post condemning the sell of Oscar for a Chinese record? Yeah, I'm sure you're in a coma when that deal happened. When Wengay was complaining about the money Shekpe and City were spending, I'm sure you weren't born then. Chelshit will be burned down first for their contribution to this madness before we get relegated. *In P. Diddy's voice* You jealous motherphuckas!! 15 Likes 2 Shares |

hensben: But when some United fans celebrated Lukaku's deal after not wanting him in the past, you lot mocked them. But now it's involved Bakayoko who was rejected by many here it's okay. And you've to bring United into it as usual. You deserve a special national award for hypocrisy. 6 Likes 1 Share |

nateevs: 70m should be buying solid experience, even in this bloated market. Belotti is too much of an unknown quantity to be purchased for anywhere near the figures quoted. I find it funny how you're talking about Belotti being 23 and being a better candidate. Lukaku is 24 and has significant local and European experience, as well as over 120 career goals to boast of...but you weren't considering his young age and capacity to improve when you kept announcing that no big club will buy him. If age is a factor, then we already have a 33m pound 23 year old striker on our books, who can possibly improve in the long run, while we get an experienced striker in right now. There's no logical justification for a belotti transfer...especially at that price I say no to Belotti 10 Likes 1 Share |

Nihilist:lukaku who already had 3 good season of solid football didn't go for that price. Why should the club buy belotti at an exorbitant price and expect conte to nurture him , why we already have his age mate at a lesser price that conte can nurture... There is no way batshuayi can't give us 10-15 goals in the league if he plays regularly under Conte's tutelage. If we are not buying experience we should stick with batshuayi. 2 Likes |

funlord: Have you ever seen me waste my time to lecture Hensben when he goes about from thread to thread blaming United for virtually every crime in the world including the reason the sun didn't shine on a particular day he wanted it to, or why Lekki was flooded? That's because I've never known him to be the sharpest tool in the box. I didn't expect such level of hate from Natęevs as well, but I guess I'm wrong. 1 Like |

Nihilist: raumdeuter: I believe there is something called mental toughness in football. It's that part of science of football which enhances the performance of a player and a big contributor to the development of the complete footballer. I have gone through the list of the Serie A players who all flopped in England and it seems they all shared one thing in common - absence of mental strength. While in EPL, the likes of Pelle, Bojinov, Bianchi et al, never showed a high level of commitment and passion for the game to suggest they were in possession of a healthy mental strength. When they got marked out, that was the end of it. No willingness to fight and prove a point. They all relied heavily on their skill-set, which eventually let them down. That was the case with Fernandud Torres. Amazing goal poacher at Liverpool, switched to Chelsea for 50mil, too many expectations, low mental strength, FLOP! Conversely, Belotti is different. This dude is a beast, both in his mind and on the outside. Belotti is the scrapper, boasting tenacity, intensity and presence in the final third, and will do whatever it takes to put the ball in the back of the net, pushing defenders around and giving no quarter to his opponents (sic). Someone described him as a 'young Tevez' here. Balotelli was able to show flashes of greatness because he was in possession of this mental toughness, it was his character that cut his time at City short. I believe a trend can NOT go on forever. There used to be a time Chelsea were cursed down the RB position. We went from Ferreira to Geremi, Bouhlahrouz, Belleti, Bosingwa until Ivanovic came calling and then Azpilicueta. The Serie A might have churned out failures in the past, but hey, that trend can always come to an end. I'll bet my 7 inches c0rk that Belotti and Dybala would both do fine outside the shores of italy.

Nobody is talking about Lewis Baker here. Even if we have forgotten Pasalic, why would anyone forget Baker. The guy should be handed a Jersey number. I will take Baker over Bakanonsense. 2 footed, strong at set-pieces and a generally good baller. I hope Conte gets it right with him. nateevs: I believe aubameyang can be purchased at 60m if the board gets the negotiations right. Since they are the ones offering him to us, that sorts of gives us a higher ground on negotiations. There are too many variables and uncertainties around Bellotis transfer. If the board can get him for 60m or thereabout, he is the best choice. We can't spend 80m on a player who has done very well in just one season. Cast your mind back to the Shaun wright Philip's saga in 2005. Do you want a repeat of that? How can you forget so easily? |
