You are welcome to our fruitful family of love.wish you a short and fruitful stay.
Did you do a test for the doctor to confirm you have hormonal imbalance or it was just a routine examination? You also need to find out the hormone(s)responsible for the imbalance.Take your drugs, understand your cycle,bd at the right time and above all lay everything/process at the feet of Jesus.
wow!wharris happening?first to comment on this page again?something good is coming to me....sprinkling loads of baby dust on the thread and me'self.

Good evening everyone
It is well with us all amen
Fibroid fibroid fibroid, we shall conquer u

I have read and am still reading about it

I am surmoning courage too for my operation hopefully in September
For me I feel I have wasted time in taking herbs because it didn't work for me
Am gathering courage for the operation
May God help us all that after the operation we shall conceive

Who knows a good doctor in benin that does it well ?
You have conquered it in Jesus name.If you don't mind,i would suggest ubth all the good doctors are there,if you go to a private, most times they are all teaching hospital staff and you will spend more funds. If you would prefer private,Prof Ehigeba, forgotten his hospital name he is at uwasota road.Someone i know did at ponders end but it was a doctor from ubth that came to do the surgery.
For those with fibroid, lets read up on the things that make fibroid grow.I was made to understand that every woman has the tendency to have fibroid but some people's own now keep growing due to lifestyle.Stay away from sugary food and drinks, reduce your intake of ugu leaves, ugu increases blood in our system and fibroid also needs that to flourish..these are my 2cents...

@dbeauty, I honestly dont know much in the management of fibroids but I think you should follow the advice of other mamas here as to operating on it since they are many. I pray for God's miraculous intervention in your case.

Good evening Mamas in the house, does any one have info about mother and child hospital Ikeja. My SIL says her colleagues were raving about it. Dh said make I go ask my sabi mums (in his words) before we go and check them out grin grin grin

Please any reviews?? how is their service??

Make una no jump and pass ooo, thank you all in advance.

My darling, i don't have any good review about MCH Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja ooo. If you read my past posts i complained about a Dr my DH took us to, that was a "go-slow" Dr, this was the hospital oo, i was referred to their Medical director and i would say i was not pleased at all, they were just collecting our money and gave us nothing in return, it was their MD that put me on clomi.d and didn't monitor or track my cycles, just said i should bd with dh o pari.

The man had this annoying behaviour of always asking you questions all over again everytime you visit, and i kept wondering if he never wrote down my profile everytime, how old are you? how long have you been ttc for? How long have you been married for? Have you ever been pregnant? etc.

I didn't quiet agree with him right from the onset, but i was ready to take any dr over none at all, like dh had always said.

and after just one unmonitored cycle of clomid, he recommded i go for IVF not even iui oo, and when i asked him about iui he said it is for those who experience premature ejacu/late shocked

the part that pissed me off most was, i complained about recurrent infection, he gave me same drugs (mostly antibiotics) that i told him i had used over and over again with no solution, so i collected the drugs, decided in my mind to get treatment somewhere else and they refused to give me my hvs test result that it would be sent to the MD for treatment prescription, long story short that was the last time i visited the hospital. I ran as far as my legs could carry me and i told DH i was never going there.

in my opinion, it is a maternity and paediatric hospital not a fertility clinic

NB: for every visit you must pay consultation - even if it just for him to see test results without prescribing anything oo

sorry for my long epistle

at least you got to meet the doctor sef .. i never did ... he was always away , travelled or sick himself . perhaps i could recommend them for child birth as they have matrons and nurses , but not for fertility check , monitoring and the rest . till today , i never saw the doctor , just a junior female doctor who asked me the common questions and drew the diagram of a uterus for me ... as if i no go secondary school ... undecided

Hello babes,

it is normal, those symptons after ovulation before AF is called Pre-Menstrual Syndrome -PMS and it is more common than you may think, except you have done hormonal profile/assay physical symptons are not enough to diagonise hormonal imbalance.

the reason most women feel the symptons is becos of the different hormones at work. before Ovul. estrogen alongside other hormones rules that duration but after Ovul. progesterone becomes high preparing for pregnancy and continues to increase in pregnancy which is why PMS and preggy symptons are alike, but if no bfp, it goes down, the symptons go too, then AF, then estrogen picks up again and the cycle starts all over a gain wink it is always cycling over and over again, makes sense why it is called the menstral cycle grin

Shey you get now?

Yes na, you didn't go to secondary school not to talk of doing biology, and you may not know where your lady bits are, or you may not even know how to use google grin grin grin grin nansense

Can you just imagine that, i wonder why some hospitals are like this? just tell me it is not your field of expertise, let me move on and don't waste one's precious, irredeemable time and money. For the fact that i had that experience, personally i cannot consider them for antenatal or anything in that line sef

That's what i admired about regnesis when i visited, though i didn't use them and they seem very shabby, the dr outrightly said, if it has nothing to do with assisted reproduction, it may not make sense.

@Thehomemaker, shine your eyes ooo sis

....and all other mamas in the house help me out by responding to my question above..I sent it in a few days ago.Plssss..or what advice does anyone have on how to manage a relatively large fibroid? should I remove it? can anyone recommend a good hospital where they do fibroid removal without hitch? or is there an alternative drug to take? ..I keep having sleepless nights over this challenge..Please help a sister out.

Thank you all.

Where do I start from?....I really want to thank and appreciate all the wonderful mamas who gave me tremendous and helpful suggestions on what to do about this challenge. I am indeed very grateful. I know better now. And your various suggestions have helped me form a better decision. For the first time in a long while, I feel like I am not alone in this journey of ttc. Now I have wonderful mamas that can help me up when I'm down. I see the way you all have strong and unshakable faith and I admire that. And it makes me have faith as well and I feel stronger now, I feel like I can also help a sister stand. thank you all for your inputs!

I have never been so happy to see a period. After more than 50 days (I stopped counting) and repentance (I had really gone astray in this whole child bearing craze) then someone I know here advised me to use primolut. Period came. Na my testimony be that.
Next time you feel bad about TTC, remember the sisters wey dey find period for years make they even get hope say them fit conceive.

Evening mamas, the issue I'm battling presently is whenever DH gets to release the semen doesn't stay inside @all,evrything I mean everything flows out.. The thing is I feel there's a kind of blockage, I've tried several methods from supporting with pillow, resting my legs against the wall and so on but nothing seems to be working.. Please what can I do?

Make una no Waka pass abeg oooo, help my situation please.
I really don't understand when people make this complain. To me, the vagina is not a mouth to swallow sperm. Only one tiny thing is needed to pregnate a woman. The sperm must all come out. I have been pregnant eight times and I see sperm come out after sex almost immediately. As long as your tubes aren't blocked which an hsg will tell you, I will say that this really won't stop you.
My opinion.

I forgot to mention in my WIDD that I dewormed using Zentel immediately after my last menstrual period. I don't know if it contributed to the success story. Good luck to us all.

@towerofgrace, i for force them collect my test results o. That was how i visited a generral hospital n was asked to see a different doctor from d one i consulted earlier because i missed my appointment time. Whn i got there, he started asking me d same questions d previous dr asked b4 sending me to go for hormonal profile n hsg. I calmly told him to look at my file, that we av passed that stage, that i expected him to ask if i av done d test i was asked to do. He then requested for d test result, after looking at it, he sd he will place me on clomid. i asked him why, he cld not tell me. I asked him to interprete my result to me b4 prescribing drugs, he got angry n said i cld seek a second opinion if i am not comfortable. I told him, that is exactly wht i am going to do. He kept my result in d file n drop it on d floor beside him, i demanded for d result of my test, he refused to answer me n was calling for d next patient. I got up, took d file n placed it on his table, opened it n took all my test result n flinged d file on d floor wd annoyance n walked away. .Some doctors can be annoying.
