The attraction to Turkey is simply based on their tax system and pecuniary benefits. Why stay in Belgium or Portugal with more visibility when you can earn more tax free in Turkey...

Until, our players start thinking of the best moves for their careers instead of money first, we will continue to get situations like Omeruo training with kids at Chelsea.

Money is important but if you make the right career moves, money will eventually come.

As a fan, it is quite easy for you to say this because you're not wearing the shoes.

If your brother was a footballer, will you honestly advice him to walk away from a €3.5M per year deal ( Emenike was paid something close to that in Turkey) and instead move to Belgium where he gets 100k per annum just because you feel he stands a chance of being spotted by Watford while playing in Belgium?
What if he gets injured? How about a loss of form? A chance in management which could see him benched etc... Transfer decisions are like Russian roulette, nothing is guaranteed in the life of a footballer. You can be the hottest young player in the world one season and virtually slip into oblivion and surplus to requirements in 2 seasons, look at Jack wilshere, nobody even wants him on loan.

Truth is that a footballers career is short and we all know most football players are sparsely educated, so they have little to fall back on. If you don't take a chance on yourself, make quick bucks (strike when the iron is hot). You may end up in penury quickly after you hang your boots.

Oh, please! Brown Ideye is shambolic striker. When last did he score for Nigeria? Do you think that I was kidding when I nicknamed him "Mister Miss-It"?

Omo, right now, there's no place for a starting option for Brown Ideye in the current SE set up. He can be on the bench. To me, our best striker is KC Iheanacho with Alex Iwobi behind him. And VicMo either on the right or left.

Rohr should stop putting Iwobi in the wings. He's not a winger. He doesn't have the speed to operate in the flanks. And he's very ineffective when he doesn't play centrally.

Iheanacho could play behind Ideye for now. The combination was brilliant against Zambia.

Again, I have to disagree. I think our best option is to move Mikel back to DM along with Onazi. And we can use Ndidi and Etebo as the two CMs, with free roles to operate as box to box midfielders.

All these sermon yet u were complaining that our stars don't command big transfer bucks. Have u forgotten so soon how u were praising Keita of Leipzig and condemning our boys? If Keita had gone to Turkey ahead of Germany in pursuit of money over growth, do you sincerely think Liverpool would be ready to path with up to 20k to secure his services let alone his 70k asking price?

You honestly think everyone will get transfered for that quoted prize to Liverpool? Is that your sermon? What are the odds that a Mikel Agu will command a $70M fee if he stayed at Victoria setubal? Mathematically what are the chances of that happening?

Sir...i beg to differ!!..we have ighalo and kayode who can play the CF more effectively than KC (AGAINST CAMEROUN).
Iheancho shuld play behind one of them..while Mikel plays the CM..

Asd for iwobi,he has played more as a winger than a midfielder (behind a striker) for arsenal..but if you ask me,iwobi won't start against cameroun.

Our CHAN team is currently losing 1:0 to a Kano Select side. Half time.

They beat kano pillars kids (feeder team), 3:1, the other day.

I hope they do not allow an amateur selected side beat them.

Ideye does not score goals, but his bringing others into play is brilliant. He misses sitters too. Wish Rohr all the best In his selection headache.

Again, answer me that simple question: when was the last time Ighalo scored for Nigeria? And to me, Kayode doesn't have the experience to start is such a crucial game. We don't wanna make the same mistake we made against South Africa with Awazien.

As concerns to Alex Iwobi, I see him more as a creative midfielder, in the mold of Kanu Nwankwo, not a support striker or winger. But reasonable people can disagree.

So why make him our out and out striker, if you can't trust him to bury even half chances? And Kelechi can do that. He can bury one out of every three chances, trust me.

Mybettingtips:
Nigerian football league officiating is just too poor. Corrupt refs officiating league matches. Imagine what this ref did, awarded Sunshine a penalty for a foul committed outside the box. The penalty kick is another thing. Awka had 2 penalty chances but the ref waved them aside

Match played yesterday Sunshine 1-0 Akwa

The video below

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1533739893349686&id=100001410718710&_rdr

What these refs are doing should be illegal. These refs do not deserve their freedom, they should be in jail. Unless we get to the bottom of this issue and weed out the mobsters who pay for these types of decisions our football is doomed.

I doubt u read through previous arguments before u dabbled... Without trynna straggle from the main point, we (Joebie and I) specifically stated that our youngsters should choose the Belgian league ahead of leagues like Turkey for proper development but when u are gone past ur youthful age, u can try a better league though to me, turkey ain't one of those better leagues.

Actually, based on their style of play, the center forward we'd need against Cameroun is a strong powerful striker. Unfortunately, Victor Anichebe is not in town.

I'll summarise after talking to a few of the first team players at Blackburn they called him the clueless one.

Why not talk to players at Burnley who worked with Owen Coyle? Go and check history and the wonderful work he did with Burnley or his first season at Bolton.

In March 2006, he was awarded Manager of the Month for the Scottish First Division for his team's performance. Coyle led St Johnstone to a 2–0 victory over Rangers at Ibrox to reach the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup. It was their first win over the Glasgow club at Ibrox in 35 years.

Can a clueless person do this?

I'll summarise after talking to a few of the first team players at Blackburn they called him the clueless one.

Owen Coyle won the September 2008 Championship Manager of the Month award after leading Burnley to 5 wins and a draw, which included a League Cup win over Premier League side Fulham.

In November Burnley secured a victory over Premier League side Chelsea on penalties at Stamford Bridge to put them in the quarter-finals of the League Cup. In the quarter-final, Burnley defeated Arsenal 2–0.

They were knocked out in the semi-finals in dramatic fashion, after overturning a 4–1 deficit by winning 3–0 at Turf Moor after 90minutes. Burnley were little more than three minutes away from a famous win and a trip to Wembley, when Roman Pavlyuchenko scored to win the tie in extra time for Tottenham Hotspur.

This is the person you want us to believe he is clueless. If you followed Owen Coyle at that reign to what he did at Bolton, you will not call him clueless.
