johnsonm2g: Are you suggesting that the agent used fake employment details and sponsor without your knowledge? You gave him your employment details and your daddy as a sponsor but he decided to use a fake one? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Austinpee4: 8:38am On Oct 01, 2017 |
jnyuwa02: jnyuwa02:The issue is changing sponsor. Nobody is encouraging misrepresentation and nobody will. That somebody comes here to make a claim of using an agent shouldn't mean that there was an act of "ineffective assitance" from the agent. We actually don't know how and what the two parties agreed on or did. If a moniker here wants X advise, give a direct X advise and leave it at that. There may be alot we don't know of. The responses were on changing sponsor and with the little i know, there is no issue in changing sponsors irrespective of who his employer is or what CIC has as information. If the applicant feels he misrepresented information, then it's up to him/her to handle it in the best possible way. So your advise of "Coming clean" by explaining to officers that an agent misled a person is subjective. You don't know if there was anything dirty on the part of the applicant or the agent and as far as the embassy is concerned, such individual used the agent's service at his or her own risk and the applicant would be held responsible since a case of 'use of representative' was not communicated to the embassy. We can't base an advise here in totality on what a person says about another person. I think we should address related issues on the cardinal points of getting a study permit approval and the requirements of a study permit. This is what would matter in the long run. 4 Likes |

People should always be truthful while filling their forms. How can someone with solid 6 years of civil service claim another company? It beats my imagination seriously! Don't allow agents mess up your dreams by giving you fake documents. I have never used an agent before because of their illegal ways of doing things. It is better he comes clean. He can't continue to use an unknown and non existing company. The agent has even run away and he is left all alone to sort himself out! At this juncture, he needs to use his true profile but he has to first do a good SOE explaining what the agent did to him. Mind you, it could earn you a 5 year ban. Yes, it happened to a friend. You could also be forgiven. All the best! 4 Likes |

Nogen: I have to disagree with you there, he did that to himself and should not blame the agent. It was not done without his knowledge and he is the beneficiary. 2 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Nogen: 9:43am On Oct 01, 2017 |
justwise: Sometimes It happens without the person's consent. Some of them are just overzealous. I have a friend who is widely traveled but used an agent for a Canadian visa. She submitted hwr documents but the agent added a few more which were not authentic. This happened 2 years ago. She was asked questions on the documents submitted. She replied she didn't include that in her application and also stated she used an agent. She was informed of the consequences of submitting fake documents either by proxy or otherwise. She got a 5 year ban as a result. She just sticks to the US travels now while serving her ban. |

omojehovah:Thank you bro. I have mailed him and he said he knows I am a good student but this year they had many good students that applied. But I believe he got into some stuff with the other supervisor who is a very senior Professor. I believe to make peace, they agreed not to admit me. |
