My point is that he has the ability to operate from the wings just like Ndidi can play CB, Shehu DM.

Now I get you,sorry 2 get you wrong,he is a versatile player.

Like seriously is Moses Simon out of the World Cup ?

Simon will not be at the World Cup ? Where did you get the news ?

Etebo playing at left wing ? You must be kidding.

His scan results were not positive, he is all but ruled out.

Etebo and Musa can play both wings.

As a striker, it is important to score goals. That is your job.

Hopeful that Ighalo can score goals at the WC proper.

Yes he score goals and team don't make it to the next round
Well different people with different perspective when it comes to striking issue just look at the French forward that was selected and other team!!

The koko is to be positive minded but i prefer ighalo not scoring and doing the needful i.e bullying defenders making way for other mate to score cool

I just want to see SE in Quarter finals

God has given us such a direct opponent running down player yet na so so bad mouth ppl dey bad mouth am

against Cameroon in uyo victor moses was just our killer man/talisman with his trick and pace..against Poland without Mikel he was jus carrying the team on his shoulder with all his direct run at defenders, against Serbia he was also lively immediately dey pulled him out in d second half dem knack us 2-0, against Egypt home and away he was just terrorising..even in keshi era victor moses was unplayable.. his deflected shot led us to our 3rd afcon trophy, against Ethiopia he single handedly qualified us to quarter final...abeg make una free dat guy....if he had rejected naija and played for england una for kno wetin una miss in such a player..because no mata his conduct england will worship him to the highest heaven...they will just give him the hazard role in the 3lions squad

Abi na

When i see a coach stick to particular set of players i feel there is reason, so people trying to impose player on a coach really bad that why since have been following this thread i chose not to talk about player selection that would make it to worldcup

Let me use myself as an example on campus i play 4 am not the best i know but the coach tend to start me when we play against department with fast game, because i tend to break play alot & tackles and football is not all about leg but with what you got in your head and if you know how to read a game i.e Ramos vs Salah last night!!!!

I just feel whatever rohr does it suit his style of play
Once again different coach with different philosophy and i hope super Eagles can make use of set pieces alot i just feel our boys have phobia to head the ball grin

Super Eagles all the way

Didn't know much about him though, but just hoping he makes the Final List as a Boost for the NPFL Players.

I wouldn't mind to play Ebuehi on the Wing to be candid. He's technical, pacy and can dribble. Ryan Sessegnon started the Season as a FB for Fulham, but eventually gets converted to a Wing-Forward.

Gareth Bale also started his Career as a LB, but Today he's a deadly Winger. Ebuehi is kinda too light as a Defender. He can be bullied by strong Wingers. I would rather exploit his technicality, Skills, Pace and Brilliance as a Winger.
Hmmm this is also a nice suggestion oh, I have even forgotten ebuehi has stats as one of the best dribblers in the dutch league coupled with pace and technique too. Supernerd, icon4 and Thegoodjoe what do you make of this super secret weapon idea.

I sympathize with Simon Moses. He really deserve to be in Russia. Maybe his enemies and those journalists writing trash about him should be satisfied now. Meanwhile Etebo should be his best replacement for d LW position for now. Etebo played d LW position at d Olympics and was very dangerous there. He has no business in d middle of d field for d SE, LW should be d best position to utilize his energy, defensive n attacking abilities. But if we need a winger that offers something different, then Onyekuru should be invited if he's fully fit. As for Musa, we know he cant start any match, we also know he cant make any positive difference from d bench yet nobody is talking about dropping him.
Good shout. I've always said he'd be a good option out wide. Play Iwobi in the middle and both can interchange at will. You move Etebo to the middle if you feel Iwobi is being overpowered in the middle or losing stamina.
Ndidi - Mikel - Iwobi with Etebo - Ighalo/Nacho - Vic MO as our front 3 is worth being looked at.

Forget his goal drought for Super Eagles Ighalo is not just strong but highly skillful and technical.

Simon helped the defence a lot on that game that was where he was mostly useful. He missed a golden chance , created an easy chance for Mr wasteful VicMo to score and wasn't successful with a lot of his dribbles .
Match wey I just watched? It's obvious you have issues with Vicmo, Simon Moses and Musa

What do you mean Musa can't make any impact from the bench? Did you watch our game against Algeria? What about the Argentina game. The guy is good for cameo counter attacks. Believe it or not... He's even versatile.

Moses Simon out injured is a big miss for us. We have little creativity on this team and he is one of the few creative guys we have. On his day, he can bring a bit of guile to our play outwide. Etebo and Musa will give us different options but Moses Simon guile will be missed.

When it becomes too obvious that Iheanacho is a better shooter and better in dead ball and the whole team knows this VicMo will go lay down somewhere. Iheanacho influence will rise and Moses arrogance will be checked

There is no arrogance this is something you are making up. Against Poland all the fks were for right footers. In my mind Nacho was our set piece taker until he pulled that stunt against SA. In reality he is lucky to even be on the team let alone be an option which he still is. You can believe that Moses forcefully takes all our set pieces, the coach obviously made that decision that he is number one.

Not in that match. Abeg una. Cos sometimes we just latch on the rep a player already has and pile it up on him. Apart from Mikel, only the two Moses actually opened up space in that cameroun game.

You're right to doubt bro. Even me set dey doubt the guy based on the magnitude of league way him dey play.
But the coaching crew get to give am attention and examine am wella because e fit be say the guy achievement no be because of say na NPFL but na him quality.

Sometimes, the low quality of a league doesn't mean a player's exploits were triggered on that premise.

Reminds me of Lewandowski. He was once a local player- in poland. He used to play for a small club in the Polish second division- Znicz Pruzcow. he lit up the league with goals and eventually became the highest goal scorer. He got signed by a bigger club in the Polish first division- Lech Poznan. He dazzled even more by scoring over 20 goals which won the league for his new club.
This made a top class European club Borussia Dortmund snatch him up . Now see what he's become. A world class banger.

I agree with you on this but he has to be consistent. This will determine if he is good enough.

Eagles starting lineup against DR Congo barely last minute change

1.Uzoho.. to boost his confidence

2.Ebuehi... picked to determine his fitness

3.Echiejile.. to ascertain his readiness since he had poor season.

4.Onazi...also to test his fitness

5.Balogun.... to ascertain his fitness since he is just coming back from injury

6.Ekong.....need to be in shape due to his bench role at the tail end of the season.

7.Lokosa....Rohr want to see want he can offer.

8.Joel........ his fitness level in question,so need this natch to prove he is fit.

9.Simy........He just need this match to prove a point

10.Etebo.....just back from injury, Rohr want to see his fitness.

11.Iheanacho...Had a good camp training as winger so Rohr want to see more of it and not really satisfied with his 7 starts of the season.

Rohr picked this XI majorly to ascertain the fitness level of players just coming back from injuries and players that lack playing time.

With this decision Rohr is a good manager cos this will expose players who are trying to hide their state of fitness.

Not during the WCQ. We can go back and analyse all the matches these players played. I know Vicmo has the rep for being selfish as we like to put it but during the WCQ I do not think he was selfish the way you make it look.

Against Poland I saw the selfish Moses again but I repeat that during the WCQ he was not selfish.

If Nacho is not in the team who would ? From early on Nacho showed what he is made of and a lot of responsibility was placed on the young man. He struggled and did it with grace and class. The boy is young with alot of years ahead of him,he went through a rough patch at Man City where he was not considered and that had affected his confidence. Saying that he is lucky to be in the team is ridiculous. Listen, he is your MOST potent HITMAN!
