Thanks.
Went to Uber also to load documents. The crowd there was something else, and I imagine that's how it is everyday of the week. We wan come enter Una market bring down profit and prices abi?
When leaving there (went by public transport @uber), a lady conductor was loading Ikeja from Maryland and some school boys were surprised saying work don finish for Nigeria and one said " I can never allow my gf do this work". As the over sabi aunty that I am, I turned and asked them "will you prefer your gf to be a prostitute?" Obviously he said no, then I replied "she is working hard for her money".
Na person wey wan thief for Nigeria go thief.

You're welcome on onboard.

Your entrance wouldn't affect profit and price.

Nigeria population is 198 million people (according to National Population Commission) and Lagos State population is estimated to be 21 million (as at 2016).

I don't have accurate figures for Uber and taxify in Lagos but am sure (guess) it's not up to 2 million cars on both platforms.

So until the population of cars on Uber and taxify matches the market population, new entrants are always welcome.

But to make money driving smart on the platform, you still need to buy a bottle or two of orijin for the experts driving to share their strategies and techniques with you.

A good knowledge of Lagos roads plus what you learned from them (experience drivers) would make your decision to do this business a smooth and pleasant experience.

Best of luck on the platform.

Thanks Bro. Really cant wait.
Is it possible i have your digits?

I don't drive oooo.

I only have a car on the platform.

But since you're gonna be driving your ride on the platform (I assumd), you don't have to worry about driver recruitment.

Your only stress would be getting a good and experienced mechanic for your new ride plus don't joke and be stingy with preventive maintenance.

If you don't joke with preventive maintenance your car would stay in prestine condition minus minor dents that yellow bus go dash you for road. grin cheesy grin (But don't worry, comprehensive insurance go pay the bills for repair). grin grin

As for digits, send me a DM.

Thanks

It seems village people are after me concerning requests. Mine are mostly in far places that I have no choice than to reject.
Like getting on ikorodu rd express on the opposite side, you can imagine what that one is.
Like getting a request with ETA of 19mins. I feel like crying most time

I never believed this could happen to me someday.
Got a trip from around four point in lekki to otunla road in ajah and back to the pickup location. Can believe I got N6k for a trip of 90km above 2hrs.
My morale just went down immediately.
And meanwhile, the app is showing nonsense trip details
I use redmi 5a prime. Guess it's not the problem since I have never had any problems with it

Congratulations.

You're going global.

Why did you use Shopify instead of WordPress?

Or is Shopify not charging monthly fees again?

Would also suggest you use dollar as your based currency except your major focus is Nigeria.

What are you plans for web traffic.

Wish you the best of luck my oga.

Please erase your rider's pick up point and destination from the screen shot you upload.

I plan on selling to everyone o, not just in Nigeria. I'm slightly inclined towards Naira since it's Uber Nigeria.

Nairaland, Facebook and Google ads. Do you have any ideas on this?

Once again, a big thanks sir.
I'll look into the things you've suggested.

You can use currency converter app available in Shopify store. What it does is convert your price to your reader local currency. E.G. if am veiwing your website from Nigeria, the currency displayed is Naira, whereas someone viewing the same website at the same time in Europe get EUR displayed.

The only challenge is who would be your payment processor since Nigeria PayPal can only pay and not receive. You can Google or ask around (I don't use Shopify would have preferred a workable solution).

Also to drive traffic, try content marketing. Just like Romeo used to do on Nairaland before he branch out to the world.

Write about Uber/Taxify, Automotive news, car maintenance, insurance, vehicle security etc.

You can monitize the blog with affiliate marketing (e.g. Amazon or AliExpress) or you can use AdSense (Google Ad Network) for bloggers.

Also if possible, provide complementary services, like your Fleet Management, Uber/Taxify Capacity Building etc.

If not too much, start selling accessories that Uber/Taxify drivers would need. e.g. phone mount, data plan, air freshener etc

Whatever you do, ensure you have a way to retain them as customer. Have something for them to keep coming back unlike the one-off transaction of buying agreement and guarantors form.

If possible, network with service providers (A/C Repairer, Mechanic, Spare Part sellers, Painters, etc) to recommend their services for a commission.

A website is major investment and a good source of revenue if you utilize it very well.

Once again, Congratulations.

I have a Tokunbo 2005 corrola, little scratches on the back and on the rear light. Quite invisible. Does the car have to be totally clean to pass taxify?
Second question the inspection center I read "Alapere Bus-stop - Heyden Lube Bay (Heyden Filling Station): Alapere Oworonshoki Expressway" is it on the left or right while coming from Berger?
Any other tip will be appreciated. Thanks.

How was the inspection at taxify. I will be doing mine in two week, any tip for me pls. Heard dos guys dey demand well. Can I pm you.
