Ofodirinwa:
Mr. Man, id you didn't know Canada has a smaller population than River State. It has no problem with 'bigger markets' and doesn't need to attach it's self to saudi arabia and abeokuta to trade. In your brain you think the NIgerian market is 190 million strong when the majority of that 190 million don't know where their next meal is coming from.
rivers population is no where near canada population...but i get ur point

Ok Lagos state, and River's either way lol
36.29 million (2016)

Nigeria's 'population' has only help Nigerians that want to argue online with Ghanaians. Otherwise, there have been 0 benefits what so ever.

Onitsha has numerous flyovers from the one at Nkpor to the one at Obosi to the interchange at Upper Iweka. infact the only cloverleaf flyover interchange in the SE is in Onitsha. The city equally has numerous pedestrian bridges. Your comment should have been Aba needs flyovers.

OreMI22:

We need to see the types of Abakaliki flyovers in Aba and Onitsha. These are two KEY Igbo cities that must become well planned with solid infrastructure before SE can take off economically and keep good paying jobs in the region

This must be a huge construction of the Ebonyi international market, or something like that. I can see shopping units designed like the Onitsha markets.

You can see the workers everywhere, this must be a big way to provide employment to poorer folks and alleviate their economic situations.

These women you see are the usual concrete casters that may stay all day at work hiring stations in Abakaliki or even travel as far as NNPC depot junction at Akpuoga Nike in Enugu state to look for work. Now the government has found a way to engage them and thus help them.

Another project site, but I don't know what they are building here. This is still in Abakaliki.

True that nwannem nwoko,
The old Margaret umahi intl market didn't pass structural integrity test, would not have stood the test of time, the enormousness and extent of structural defect was alarming, was already inching towards collapse.

This revelation came about earlier in January, when deputy gov, Eric kelechi made an inspection on site, I guess that very much informed the decision to undertake the new market project.

Cost of Labor in Ebonyi is definitely the cheapest in the south east and south south. That’s why they are able to do so much with tiny allocations while some states with bigger allocation are struggling to produce tangible projects and with inflated costs.

That reminds me,

Couple of months back, I think last year, the governor layed an inaugural foundation ceremony for a 5,000 low cost housing estates in ohaozara, sort of ppp thingy which came with deafening media frenzy and fanfare.

Please any credible Intel on the true state of the project?
Don't wanna believe it's been cast into the abyss of abandonment.

Umahi is doing fine infra-structurally. But he should be very wary and take a firm position on herdsmen rampage incursion into the state. He should never maintain a soft spot, never. Ebonyians are mostly farmers, and heavily dependent on rice farming, which is difficult to cultivate. We don't want a repeat of Benue in Ebonyi. In a nutshell, security, particularly in rural areas, should be among his top priority.

All I can say at this moment is that I am proud of Ebonyi state. This state is getting it right by the day. This is just a wonderful job. I am a certified critic but this one I cannot criticize this.

Good job my brothers, dont look for the money but look for the future.

It is worthy of note to commend the expansion of roban stores, they spreading their tentacles tryna crisscross the south east, I think at this juncture, they got to also factor in the contemplation of expanding beyond South East and gallantly moving into other regions.

The world is theirs for the taking,
The mandate has been on us all along, from the epistle of St. Adam Smith, in the gospel of wealth of nations,
Chapter 1 verse 1, it says thus : GO YE INTO THE WORLD AND MAKE WEALTH OF NATIONS. grin grin grin

#Throwback roban stores sets up in Abakaliki.

why are the street lamps too much on the bridge? With what is happening in Ebonyi state, I just continue to feel pity for Abia and most especially Anioma but one thing is clear, if Ebonyi can get this much development in just 3 years, then there is hope for the total transformation of Anioma for the better, we just need an Umahi or Obiano in delta.
Pls you guys should remember that pics of Abia are missing on this trend.
Abia state is doing pretty well under Ikpeazu. But the problem is that we have no one who is on ground to bring us pictures. And i myself is not close to home.

The Elechi man also did pretty well he laid many solid stones for his successor, and thank God that Umahi is not abanoning his projects for political reasons.
