If they (the ikwerres) should come back begging us because they have indeed come to their senses, then we are obligated to forgive them. Its like the story of the prodigal son.

You nailed it. They must never be accepted back if things start turning around in the East.
They deserted us in times of peril and even denigrated in addition.

And some folks were saying " what will you do if they decide to become Igbos tomorrow, that we must accept them". Rubbish talk.
How can you accept sb whose Igboness changes like weather?
Some of us want to make the same non visionary mistake our heroes made. Tagging just everybody along.
The same mistake IPOB made.

Pls let's note that there are a handful ikwerre that still identify as ndigbo, let's consider them. Let's not throw away the baby with the bath water.

Peter denied being a follower of Jesus 3 good times! Well, we all know what happened afterwards.

Let's leave a door open for those still identify with us.

Nobody is interested in ur submission of begging.
Ikwerres are whom they are even now I have ikwerre friends identifying as biafrans in good way not with that mad dog nnamdi kanu from abia state.

And unlike I said earlier kanu should limit his ipob to abia state and abians....we ain't interested.

Furthermore the long term progress of igbos needs we focus in one direction but that won't work wen Enugu, abia , ebonyi keeps insulting other igbos or their igbo brothers

There is no day that passes without them hauling out insults.

We must unanimously agree here and then that all insults to other igbo must first stop before we now spread our tentacles.

PH International airport is serving the East at the moment. Anambra is equally building an international airport. Ebonyi state is building Ebonyi International airport that will serve Ebonyi and Enugu states on completion. Am sure Abia may start its own in the future. FG has rendered Enugu airport to a state level airport. Let all the states start developing its own aviation economy. Enough of these regional attachments. We are all equal federating units.

superlightning:

Enugu should have an international airport. If we the igbo already do have it in AIIA , then it MUST be upgraded and maintained.

Yorubas are milking us as we use their Lagos airport while still insulting us, don't you think ikwerre people will do same? Why can't we milk ourselves? Enugu international airport is the way forward.

My dear brother, Your bitterness against Nnamdi KANU and abia state won't change the fact that majority of igboland stood with IPOB at the September sit-at-home directive. Deal with it.

Also, let's not digress from the topic. Nobody is hating on ANAMBRA . ANAMBRA owned monikers rather have been the ones downplaying and insulting other igbo states.

If you hate KANU or ndi abia state, nke-ahu gbasara gi.

Funny enough abia and ipob are mutually exclusive entities.

Please stop this rubbish. Why would anyone be proud of founding a rogue fraudulent group like ipob or massob? So if i may ask, where's Nnamdi Kanu and his ipob right now?

I was one person who never even wanted to have anything to do with ipob because they were dominated by bunch of illiterates recruited by Kanu from Aba. No sane person is ever comfortable with ipob. They have insulted anyone that ever disagreed with them.

Uwazurike is now enjoying the money he made from massob venture. Only fools joins an organization like ipob or massob.

Thank you. That's your opinion. I personally admire KANU because he has what your ohaneze does not have - integrity, courage and charisma.

I sympathize with ipob because I understand their pain and struggle.

Pls don't call the great KANU, in the same breadth with uwazurike the gluttonous narcissist of a Judas.
Re: . by onuebonyi: 10:02am On Oct 07, 2018
I don't care about Ohaneze or their likes. Kanu as a person might be a good orator but his youthful exuberance spoilt everything. If he had channelled the goodwill properly he would have been a political key player in deciding elections in the SE. But he started preaching of non election starting with Anambra as if a single state election means much.

I must give it to Kanu, he is an orator. He used his oratory to lure many to his fold. He is brave, very very brave and unwavering. All that he needed was an elderly advise to channel the strength and army of followers he has at his beck and call.

He would have used ipob as a political tool to influence elections and subsequently enthrone people that can push for referendum in the legislative assembly.

Well he has done his own bit.

MASSOB used that tactics, yet they got compromised, conflicted and corrupted by Nigerian politics.

David Cameron of britain understands how fantastically corrupt nigerian politicians are.

By the way, KANU didn't stop those who wanted to vote from voting. He only exonerated ipob from taking part in elections considering how corrupt southeast politicians are from Abia to IMO to ANAMBRA to Enugu to Ebonyi .

In national matters, nations don't show love to Nations who show hate to them. You show an even greater hate to groups How show hate towards you. If they know you hate and wouldn't waste time to fatally decimate them, should they try to exhibit their hate towards you, it would keep them in check.
Take a look at Israel and how she deals with surrounding hateful nations around her. She replies their hate with even more hate. Throw one bomb at Israel and Israel would throw several bombs at their living quarters and market places, decimating both their young and women alike in the process, ensuring the are left in anguish and pain. Which would serve as deterance to them in future. What stops nations from attacking each other is not love, it's hate. It's called MAD. Once you know that the other nation is capable of administering the kind of hate you have towards them, towards you, it keeps every one in check, and ensures relative peace reigns. Once you give any group the impression that they can exhibit hate towards you, without getting burnt by a greater hate from you to them in the process, you have made yourself a sitting duck.
This is group survival 101.

That's how it works.

Trust is a delicate issue, once broken can never be repaired.
Ikwerre and other Igbo hating Igboid groups can never be truly accepted into Igbo nation again. There will be lingering issue of suspicion. I can never truly accept an Ikwerre man that says he is Igbo, I would immediately see him as an opportunist or a mole, and he would have to do alot of convincing via his works to win me over, and when he is done with such, he would likely look back and observe that he isnt truly welcomed, seeing as he was made to go through lots of pain to be accepted.

I understand where you are coming from, TRUST ISSUES. For the fact that they have been forgiven and welcomed back into fold does not mean you trust them. They will have to earn the trust, I know. Here are a few things to do in checking them while reabsorbing them :

1. Sensitive Igbo leadership posts must be censored from them. They themselves will understand why, until they prove beyond every reasonable doubt, to earn our trust. A cheating spouse may still be accommodated by other because of a lot of factors, but when it comes to sex, flirting, fidelity issues, they will be kept at an arms length.

2. While embracing them as igbos , riot act will be read to them on the consequence of going back to their vomit. That will let them know that there are irreconcilable consequences of denying their brothers TWICE.
