Don't be disheartened, can you post your transcript and the gurus here will give you pointers

Aresej:
I was also rejected today even after a rescheduled appointment! I have been to the USA five times and I was wondering what would have gone wrong till I saw the '3 months stay'! I actually stayed for up to 3 months. I am a lecturer and was on vacation when I heard schools were on strike I had to extend my stay till when it was almost over! I am very confident but when I saw the way the pink form was being dished out today I lost my composure and I think I blabbed a bit in some of my questions which the VO asked!!!!! She asked about my stay for 3 months and I told her also asked what I was going to do in America in April told her asked me about my family and who will take care of them told her there were in school, where I worked told her maybe because of my shaky voice and non composure that I was denied I can't say because I answered all the questions she asked!!!!!

grin Calm down. Getting angry won't put that sticker inside your passport. If you miss something first time, find what the worry is and solve.
I found out a whole lot of things today, like vibrant99 said, the fellow wants to give me, but instead of denying me totally he gave me a 214b ,it then means, suppose he was very convinced with me, he would have given me my visa, shows somehow I was close.
It's not the end of the world nwanne, you can still research and find what the worry is. I'm not married and I don't have any travel records, I have to correct those and try again. Even tho not the marriage(as I haven't seen anyone to marry yet) , but get a conference maybe in Brazil, or Qatar related to offshore oil and gas, and come home before applying for the other one come november... See I have finally found a resolve somehow.... And I go still pay the 59200 the second time, even at that, I still wear a happy face. And you all insult me here, I know exactly what am doing..
What was your own issue? I was given blue paper, to convince them clearly, we're you also given the same??

Hi.

You are an Igbo man. I su ya abughi ebe okwu di, I de ya ede bu isi.

You're welcome.

I wouldn't blame you for saying that. One quick question, I haven't seen someone who doesn't like a good life sir. I get offers for remote jobs and miss them because of my home country, and you think it's a Good thing ? Well sir, you are Comfortable ,I'm an Ibo man, yes I have a job here, but truthfully, I'm not comfortable. I need upgrade. That's why I am seeking a better life than this one here.
Don't term it desperation. No one is comfortable with this nonsense happening here.
Thank you.

Three months is a lot of time to be spent in the US unless you are very old, retired or have extremely genuine reason(s)

Three months vacation

Strike is not convincing at all, infact it must have done more harm than good to your interview.

Does it mean if the strike was not called off you wont go back home?

You also left your family for that long?

So many red flags.

Good morning all,

A good job you all have done so far.

Today I have an interview scheduled by 12pm for me and my family(hubby and 3kids). I cant say I've read this thread thoroughly, but I've learnt a few tips. pls help.
We are first time travelers, no travel history. Hubby is the sponsor. I'm into packaging of local agricultural produce for sales.
We stated we are going for 6 days vacation in Florida, specifically to visit Disneyland in April. Hotel reservations booked and printed.

I just need someone to tell me it will be alright. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the Info but I was actually on my sabbatical leave in UNN and I just needed to cool for sometime before coming back till I heard about the strike and stayed back. I am divorced and my kids are in the boarding house so I also needed sometime for my self before I come back! The VO was took a while typing so many things does any one know what she was typing? When is it advisable to apply again because I am expected to resume back at my institution in August. Thanks for the audience guys!

I Have been following this thread closely.

This thread has been very helpful.

I have this question. This is my first time of applying to the US.

am Married with 3 kids and I have a job and have been to
1. Ireland
2. Saudi Arabia
3. Nairobi
4. London
I also got Shengen Visa to Paris but was unable to travel before the 1 month validity of the VISA expired due to the fault of our Partners in Paris. I reapplied immediately after expiration of my Schengen Visa as our partners were ready to recieve us, but was denied VISA.

Note that am an IT Engineer working for an IT Company and am going to the US on behalf of my company to carry out some system Upgrade at the our client's branches in NEW YORK, ATLANTA and WASHINGTON.

I am scheduled for an interview soon. Please what are my chances since i was denied Schengen VISA recently (December 2018)
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by richfaxy: 9:08am On Mar 07, 2019
I read in a post that someone was initially given the visa but later denied simply because Shengen had denied him visa

"am going to the US on behalf of my company to carry out some system Upgrade at the our client's branches in NEW YORK, ATLANTA and WASHINGTON."

Key points. IMHO.

- Why are you being sent from Nigeria to do this, and not someone in the US ?

- Are you going to paid in the US, for this?

- Did you apply for a tourist visa (you are not permitted to work under this visa category)

The US Embassy never tells you the actual reason for denial, only the generic response on the rejection letter. So it could be a multitude of reasons.

Oga, First off, You sound like a broken records forgive my irritation here but your narrative as to why you were not given a VISA is totally wrong I got mine on a VIRGIN passport and NOT MARRIED. the reason as to why the VO deny Visas is based on their own knowledge, From all you have been writing on this THREAD your desperation to abscond is very glaring, and i am sure the VO saw that too. I guess you should work on your ties, learn from here and also from QUORA.COM and you could stand a chance of getting it next time. people come up with different lies and its the Duty of a VO to detect it and of course sometimes Innocent travellers become victims of the high handedness caused by others. I wish you all the best anyway...

gimakon:

Nigga pls stop ranting and insulting people. No one is derailing any thread. A friend got this same OTC invite and was given visa, than learn you day fine who you go insult. wetin you day talk like this ,if you just come here to say things, say and calm down, if you can help, be of help. The man visited UAE before he went for his entry visa , very glaring he had upper hand with travel experience as well so why u insult people
Read from the chat.

It's very clear the primary cause of my downfall today was no travel experience. I've learnt that, and I learnt it here. This your voltron behaviour no good

No one may work in the US on a B1/B2 visa. The B1 portion allows business such as meetings, training sessions, factory and office visits and tours, consultations, signing contracts, but no material work that produces or could produce payment in return. B2 is for tourism: visiting friends and family, libraries, museums and parks. Shopping. No working.

You have nothing to worry about, I doubt if that story is real, the moment the V.O collected your passport and give you the white paper the next thing is Administrative Processing, he won't bother checking the passport after collecting it from you for issuance of visa so I don't believe that story that the applicant was called back when he was almost at the door.

You have nothing to worry about, last last Administrative Processing. You have to be calm and collected at the interview.

I happen to be a good catholic and yesterday was Ash wednesday!

Most of the time, i wish i can meet some people that we both contribute around here, a kind of get together so we can really know eachother and get familiar, saying alot of things behind a system called Nairaland hides alot .

US visa is not mathematics, all this your contributions and all "read up" from page 1 to 1000 is only an hindsight not a constant.
There a foundation is built on the things people call experience.
The first time my mom applied for US Visa, she wasn't even asked 2 questions, and straight up Rejected, she got the second time without any reasonable question.
My little brother Got his Visa the 5th time to study.
My best friend got his visa the 3rd try
My woman got hers the second try.

What am i trying to say, all this situations doesn't seem alike , they were practically different scenes with different actions.
You could get your own visa ur first try doesn't mean you are wonderful or the best, it is just chance and luck for you.
The VO that interviewed me, stood there looking at me and said "i want to give you a Visa" but i can't find a place you have been to!!!
She said excuse me, took my passport went in and met a guy, and the woman came out side and told me to "Try again soon", i bet 90% of people on here weren't told that specifically, then i saw a light at the end of the tunnel.

You come here and be forming one useful thread contributor , who do you think you are ? what do you think you have done or been through to advise another person? instead of you to walk side by side with everyone here and be noble you come and show ursef? Make sure you nuts are well fitted MR.

What you did 10 yrs ago with US is not working now, they have streamlined their approvals, and not gonna be giving it out so much, preach that instead, not to come here and show ur craze.

There is no country anywhere in this world that is new around me, no be mouth!
we do this things (nairaland) when am working, i work on my system 9 hrs everyday, i check on this page and see how much i can afford to throw in.

I would send you a PM , lets get familiar, lets even know what eachother does, to call someone JOBless is huge!
