1. You can do your medicals. A "lead apron" will be given to you for x-rays.

2. By the time you give birth and add your baby to your application, if your application is yet to be approved, you might be asked for an updated POF to cover the new addition to your family. So always best to have a POF that will cover the baby upfront.

dedalove:
Hello house, please can a pregnant lady pass Medicals and do you have to provide a POF that will cover the unborn baby as part of the family? Please I really need some clarification.

Congrats.

Pls confirm, what it evaluated as a "Bachelor's degree"?

Kogigallll:
Hello good people,

Just for those who might be in need of this information.

Many people told me to use WES cos I wanted to evaluate a bsc direct entry... That no one had ever used ICES for that.

I wasn't about to delve into the waec wahala, so I just included my A level (ijmb) statement of result and my school included an LOE.

ICES has evaluated it positively in less 9 weeks...

It's good/safe to follow the crowd. But sometimes, a little daring action might just turn out pleasantly.

So I'm a first, at least we now know that ICES does evaluate favorably for direct entry graduates with a 3 year transcript.

Now, IELTS on my mind wink

Yup! It's possible to remove it. You need to send a request to the WES Customer Service team. See this link showing the steps.

I used WES and evaluation summary was 6 years of professional study in Optometry

Thanks. Pls, how did you go about it. I really want to avoid issues that will reduce my points. Which is why I am contemplating IQAS and WES.

Pls, has any optometrist in the house assessed through IQAS? What is the time frame and requirements, and also for WES

Good morning canadians, please what is the difference IELTS MOD and BC? The only difference I know is that one is 68k and the other is 75k. Please what other things differentiate them. Thank you

Seniors please help

Are calls to IRCC and CSEs reflected on our GCMS notes.
Please if they are, can it affect ones application negatively?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by Phaytie(f): 8:15am On Mar 27, 2019
I have not evaluated mine yet. I just got information that WES evaluates all degrees as 4years bachelor degree, which is why I am trying to confirm from anyone who has gone through it, particularly the optometrists. So I can avoid that. I want to use a body that will evaluate it as a masters degree equivalent and a professional degree which it is.

sinie:

How come WES evaluated yours for 3yrs a friend of mine used WES and the result was 6 years.

CIC did not specify a body for optometrists like they did Med and Pharm, so I guess you can use any Evaluating body.

And don't listen to those saying its not a professional course because it is...

Hello All, I recently applied for a Canadian visiting visa. However, I want to create an express entry profile (I did my ielts last week and I’m positive, evaluated my certificates since last year June). I’m wondering if I should use same personal reference code I was given for my visiting visa to create my profile Thanks In advance

My hubby is an optometrist..We have paid the iqas fees and about mailng his documents to them....Iqas takes about 6months for the report to be out...We are not in a hurry too and hopefully they would evaluate it as a professional degree as seen on their website..
For requirement, just his transcript, I.d bio data page and his school certificate

I know someone currently doing hers with WES but her report is not yet out so I can say if she got a professional degree assessment from them.

So just follow your gut feeling

Please can I get reference letter from my previous employer before ITA? I worked with the state government agency for 3yrs and salary was not consistent, when paid it was always in cash and some months are still owed till date. Please what are they necessary documents I need to get from them or provide when I get ITA?

Please i need to know if it's possible to get reference letter ahead too

Does the date on it matter?

I am asking because it's my NYSC work experience that fits in,current job belongs to class C.want to try get it before completion of ECA and IELTS so that i can know if it's me or my spouse that should work towards being the primary applicant since her past and current job fits in.

When you say ahead what do you mean? One year? Please gather every document that you can now, because when you get ITA you'll be working with a deadline. Don't let someone that village people are using spoil show and delay your application. If you date is a worry to you, you can ask them to 'front-date' it if possible.

If you want to remark..MOD is 46k while BC is 15k...Aside that no other difference.

Some have said that BC examiners are not usually friendly during the speaking test unlike MOD...i cannot ascertain this as a fact.

My own shows application received. They recieved on january. Mailed them and they said that have eecieved my documents and are processing. Intend to mail again on 1st. But this being checked by ICES is making me curious. Should i worry?

I believe if ur status reads "application received" it means they av received ur application, but when it reads "documents received, being checked by ICES", it means they av received ur transcript and maybe any other accompanying document(s) from ur institution. I also believe your status shd av change to "documents received, being checked by ICES", it is after this that u now av "completed", this is the pattern mine has followed, but not yet completed, it is the same that of another friend on this platform followed.
You should not be worried, since they av confirmed that ur document was received, just mail them to let them know that ur status has not changed.

I applied to my sch early this month and haven't followed up, only for me to check my profile this evening to that it moved to "being checked by ICES"
Is it normal? I did not get a mail not notification from either of ICES and sch or DHL about where the package is at any moment. Is this normal?

it is not just normal, it is great! ICES doesn't mail when they receive ur docs, but they'll reply if u mail them to confirm, they'll only change ur status. I love that ur school o, it hasn't been so easy for most people, especially those who attended Nigerian institutions.
Just get ur tracking from ur school or DHL, you'll see they av delivered it
