the two major parties should present a candidate from SE anything other than that will make power remain in the north. as it is the turn of the South so also is the turn of the SE cus every other region in the south have produced a president but if tinubu and his cohort thinks otherwise then let north rule forever

I'm a bit lost here.. But the SE don't like the APC? So why do you want them to give the SE it's ticket in 2023? Why don't you want that of PDP since you've loyal for 24 years (by then) to the PDP?. Care to shade more light?

Unfortunately, the North will likely not vote for South East due to their Biafra agenda. For now, they can't afford to let go of oil as the South South may go with Biafra. But if the South brings out a South West candidate (who is likely to be a Muslim), the gentleman agreement may stand.
how can you be so senseless??

I keep laughing at d Yoruba people whenever I read their comments here....4real U want we d South-south to support ur greediness and self-centeredness. U people are so myopic in ur reasoning....Am an Urhobo man we will, never have anything to do with d Yorubas....U people are so full of yourselves....From Edo to Delta, to Bayelsa,to Rivers, to Akwa-Ibom and Cross River will never have anything to do with Yoruba people not after betraying our sons Jonathan and Onoghen....after stretched our neck to support ur own Obasanjo for good eight years.....in case people don't know even PDP as a party sees U as d worst region they cannever allow U yorubas to control d presidency again.....most people keep saying Yoruba are d problem of Nigeria and over d years U people have always proven that statement to be true....U people are very tribalistc and greedy......Any day any time we are solidly behind our Ibo Eastern brothers and sisters bcus, they are our true brothers and sisters..... God bless South-aouth and South east..

listen nobody needs the southeast in any election because you guys don't know how to play politics, twice your region voted massively against the APC yet he won, so you guys are irrelevant, in 2023 there are at least 3govs and a serving senator from the SE who are more than qualified for the ticket but the party you love so much will give it to someone from the caliphate who was in the APC you hate so much and a VP will be chosen from the south south, because they have seen that you guys cannot influence any election. so don't blame tinubu who is fighting for his interest and that of his region blame yourselves for been used and dump by the PDP.
if you say so...... the variables have changed now....... if the Igbo man will not get Presidency....... let the north have it........ its not really about party now...... if Apc brings a yoruba man, the PDP will field a northerner, if both parties bring a northerner, let the best win........if A president will come from the south, it won't be from the west,...... if the PdP fields a yoruba man and Apc fields a northerner, then we will gladly vote for APC.........

then its up to the southerners there to demand dat d slot should be given to a person from the south ,because if PDP should field a Northerner,APC too would be tempted to do d same.......if they don't they might loose, that's d obvious truth which they can't gamble with

forget all these permutations, a northerner cannot replace another northerner in power, all these is just to negotiate position, if PDP does that, they will lose cos the north itself respect the zoning arrangement and by the way tambuwal and kwankwaso are both from the NW with buhari so it will not work.

If they want to tear pdp apart they should chose their presidential candidate from north. Both south east and south south should support apc since the party agreed to chose their presidential candidate from southwest .

Na now you remember south east and south south abi? What happened to your alliance with the north? Afon.ja 2.0 is unavoidable.

Stop typing jargon here my friend!

The PDP has always favoured not only the southeast but the entire regions of Nigeria. PDP has a zoning formula that is all encompassing.

APC on the other hand has proven to be a party founded on bigotry and nepotism. APC has continued to play regional politics since 2015 and are not even ready to stop. Imagine the zoning arrangement they are planning to operate in the coming administration, where the president and senate president comes from the north while the VP and speaker of HOR come from the southwest. Let them continue sha, but let none of you complain when such arrangement comes to hunt you.

interesting

sarrki, has let his username dormant, while he uses others. sarrki made some stupid statements, that SW would be gladiator of Nigeria politics and voting power.
It appears to be false(lie).

SW, would find it difficult to pull a Presidential candidate, definitely not in PDP.

They've turned their party to consensus appointments.

Is not going to happen or what is this one saying? You forgot when PDP zoned the presidential to the south east for 2019 and the Igbo claims that they are not ready for presidency yet? Igbo people will be given one more chance to contest under PDP if they refused again, the Pdp will automatically zone the presidency to the South west.

Stop writing nonsense on Nairaland
PDP zoned that position to the north and VP to the south east

Hehehe. Comments such as yours show how naive most Nigerians are.
Look, Buhari does not respect a constitution that is cast in concrete. He doesn't obey court orders...yet you expect him to obey a "gentleman's agreement" grin grin

You're very funny.
Come 2023, if he decides that El-Rufai or Nuhu Ribadu or any one of his gworo chewing peers should succeed him, there's nothing the south can do, other than complain and fart and fart some more.
You think it was for nothing that he ensured every security chief and every sensitive position is controlled by the north?
Even those lopsided appointments are against the so called federal character, and yet the heavens did not fall after he bullshitted all of it.

Abeg go and rest. Nothing dey happen.
