He's yet to prove to everybody how that was possible, the next he posted and was lying how he have been doing offline simply because his lies were bursted. He think we are kids. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Tyche: Oga, You are very correct but it’s not the fault of the driver. If ‘some’ riders can change their mentality, then everything will be good. I once had a conversation with a driver sometimes last year in Nigeria and he made me understand that he wasn’t out of job but feels he could get some extra cash when he’s free. But do you know that some pple believe that it’s unemployment that turns some pple driving Uber so? They try to ride on the drivers dignity. I read just now where someone said a rider asked him to get condom for them. Can you just imagine that? You tell a family man to get you condom? I read somethings on this thread and I laugh because Nigerians don’t want the next person to succeed. All this things do happen but it’s very very rare in the developed countries. When investors come into the country, they use the loopholes to their own advantage. Nothing can be done to the slavery aspect but I will advice the drivers to always stand tall when they meet rude riders and if drivers don’t sell themselves cheap to riders with time they will come to their senses. I strongly believe there is money in transportation business. Forget the insults, don’t back down or stain your dignity as a man, get what you want, be an employer of labour and you will be fine. 15 Likes 1 Share |

guzenaira: Without doubt, there's a lot of money in transportation. We have a haulage side biz, with an established customer base, and the ROI is just fantastic. Uber has seen better days, no doubt. The company is posting a lot of loss and what do you do when you your business is making loss? You bring in more sales and reduce cost where possible and that's what Uber is doing. Here, more sales means more riders while the drives/patners bear the consequences of cost reduction; it's not personal nor intentional, it's just business. Someone said here before that he can't do Uber with any vehicle less than 2012 and you can see the wisdom in that. It means defining your niche/target customers and they will always come back via offline trips. After all, it's those 500naira riders that insults the driver's most. There are a lot of people that ride Uber and does so with class, target them, build your offline riders base with time and the rest will be history. 5 Likes |

Megadrop: I think they are both fast becoming brands. But what dru needs is to concentrate on his business rather than waste that energy on picking on gazzuzz. Dru's got the contacts to bring good quality car products to Nigeria just like gazzuzz but at affordable price. I bought mobil1 on Tuesday for 19k. Gazzuzz was willing to sell for 18k. Only for me to come on naira land today, and dru is offering it for 17k. In this price war, I think dru wins. Another thing to strategize into your business is making the products available, in other words, how do you get the product to the consumer? I probably would have patronised gazzuzz but he was far off, but for 17k, I would have patronized dru only he advertised late. Pricing in business will either make or mar your success, however, more importantly, getting the product to the consumer is KEY. I wish both of you the best. Conclusion: Get your pricing right. Then secondly and most importantly, work on your supply chain. Businesses depend on their supply chain to provide them with what they need to survive and thrive. 2 Likes |

dru23:Enlighten me sir, I know you are not a fan of corolla but I drive a corolla over a yr now on uber and I always use water as coolant, tho after like 1min of adding water the water changes colour into a brownish colour. Am I suppose to use that coolant instead of water. As in adding the coolant to the radiator. I will appreciate if you explain better to me and other on here. Tks |

Mjosh1000: Well with corolla ,I think they are over hype cars .. The only corolla I kinda like is the se version.. Now back to the main topic here. It is never good to use water in your radiator .. For the simple fact that water boils at a higher speed than coolant . When the engine is running you need coolant to cool it off , mean while water keeps boiling and at times it will cause overheating. When you water instead of coolant. It will coz leakage and rust in your radiator.. Before you know you are replacing radiator.. At times you see people park their car on the street with the hood open.. The car is overheating ,due to the use of water. Nothing to keep the engine cool. And funny thing is that even though coolant might be expensive, you only need it for few years ,some can last up to 5 years in your radiator.. It is not something you use like engine oil .. But Google is your friend, you can read more about coolant. Also if the water is turning browish ,it's either too much rust at the bottom of the radiator, bad water or something else. Have a specialist take a look at it . You might need to replace the radiator.. If it does need replacement, just make sure you look for quality coolant .. 4 Likes |
