OptimusPrime21: I clearly understand what @optimus is asking. If The applicant has a co-op permit attached to his course of study, he has to provide evidence of where it is stated. It can be found on the letter of acceptance. So the applicant should upload the letter of acceptance to that section. That's what I used during my previous application and there was no worries as the school advised me to do so. 2 Likes |

Qudkom: A father has the right to transfer his property to any of his dependents. The deed can be backdated and explanation from the applicant should suffice that the said property has been gifted to him/her in consideration of the love and affection the father has for him/her. As you suggested that the applicant should claim they have been managing the property, which is also acceptable. Though in this case, a written letter from the family's solicitors should be submitted to support the claims that applicant has long been performing this duties and will not abscond to Canada after studies. 1 Like |

nannanie10: It's important it's issued from NPC, that's the authorized body in charge of issuing Attestation of Birth/birth certificates. |

Frankrobbn1:On this issue of gift deed, in a setting whereby the applicant has been residing at the property and the dad died before even transferring the property to him. And the dad's wish was to have his son inherit the property. Can the mother of the person transfer the property to the son via gift deed after a refusal on personal assets and financial status? This is in reference to my case. Note: the property was not included in the first application that was refused. |

Frankrobbn1: Thanks again @Frankrobbn1, I am opting for the deed which would be back dated. I am just trying to avoid any document that would take to long to be processed and think the deed is a pretty straight forward one. @Qudkom I am not the only child deserving of my fathers property as you rightly mentioned, he has properties in other states which my other sisters got. It was a verbal pronouncement though and I am just trying to get a document as I forsee it making my application pull through. Thanks also for your response I appreciate your contribution. Like I earlier mentioned, I hurried my application as a result of a deadline from my school i was trying to meet, which is the reason I omitted that vital information. However, I have to wait for the gcms notes to seek further advice, for now let me get that document (deed) ready. Cheers! 1 Like |

Is it possible to get an approval without a medical request but your upfront has been updated to pass? My friend just got a correspondence letter, he was not sent for a medical but his upfront has been updated to pass. What does this tell? Hollushola: |

Thanks for your well articulated response! What do you have to say to this? I have study visa till August 2020 but my course finishes in September 2021(Two years Msc). This was because Visa arrived late in January and I have to deferred to September. Passport would also expire February 2021. Would they issue study permit till 2021 at the boarder? After, a month to visa expiry in August 2020 what do I do to extend the visa? Do you suggest i get a new passport even as early as August 2020. Or I have to do all this before leaving Naija? Many thanks! Bracha: |

Ok, I have couple of questions. Was just given admission and $16,000 funding out of $23,000. The school advised me to apply for visa since the school resumes sept 2019. I tried to defer but I was told to apply 1. The job I’m working since I completed service is 40k. I just got a new job of 150k which I am to resume by July but I can’t use that one since the letter isn’t ready yet 2. My mum told me to prepare a gift of deed so that she would transfer one of her properties to me. Would that be sufficient to prove ties. 3. My dad is willing to cater for the remaining fees and living expenses 4. They sent me a letter of conditional acceptance and told me to use that to process my visa since the deadline for transcript is December Please I dont have time and that’s why I need to avoid any mistake. I need advise as to the issues been raised. I tried to defer but it is t possible. I think it’s only when I don’t get visa that I can be deferred. |

PUSSYBOY2:Undergraduate at 33 is somehow na, it’s phd you should be looking at that age. If you have work experience, just go for express entry |

Adebayo2296: You can do all of the above in Canada. What you need to do is extend your passport at the Nigerian Embassy in Ottawa before it expires, you can get it the same day .. probably less stressful compared to Nigeria. Thereafter you would use your proof of Enrolment in school to extend your study permit and visa if you wish. Ensure you do all of this before your study permit expires. So a good timeline would be to travel to Ottawa either during Christmas break or immediately you’re done Winter semester in May to extend the Nigerian passport. Thereafter extend your study permit with proof of your enrolment from school. Ensure you don’t leave the process till late. Also your visa is only essential for travel, so it could expire during your stay in Canada without worrying about extension, but your permit cannot expire / you should make sure it doesn’t expire while you’re still studying in Canada. If you plan on leaving Canada at any point during your study you can extend the visa before hand. 1 Like |
