Watching the movies themselves is not the problem. The problem is my overactive imagination that the movie feeds. Basically, I'm actually the one scaring myself and even though I know this, I can't help it. It's just part of me.

Notice the screenshot below in special app access: 2 apps have unrestricted access to data. I've always searched for this pipe squeak but couldn't find it cause it is a system app and would not show up if I checked it, because system apps were hidden. Just unhide system apps and I find the suspected CULPRITS ---[ Download Manager & Downloads]. Cuz anytime I noticed play services doing its shit I almost always see Download manager in my notifications tray downloading some crap I don't know of.

That's one of the major reason I don't like the latest Android version ie Android 8.0 Oreo and 9.0 Pie because it's way more complicated than previous versions and not simplistic as the others. Too many loads and boatloads of functionality and duplicates unlike previous one which was straight forward.

I hope this is the end of my data issues.

Imagine spending half my night time and a whole day browsing and querying how to solve my data issues on different platform, eg quora, Google, xda and others. Hope this ends.

Only one way to solve this; root your phone, install Titanium Backup, backup and freeze (disable) your push service feature. I dunno the Tecno name, but it's called Samsung push service in my android device. The downside of disabling your push service feature is you will stop getting system updates and whatnot.

To consolidate, also disable your Ant radio service. Then Google play. That's it.

But you'll need to root your phone to have root access.


On second thought, leave the Ant radio service alone. Disabling it might cripple your internet receptions.

What make is the device?

You may have rogue apps phoning home and uploading your data.

I have the same problem with the fking windows store on my pc. Any other game store app can be monitored and curated. Download during off hours. But edging winstore when you are not looking, will resume a paused download and destroy your bandwidth.

Aladdin-

As far as Disney remakes go, I prefer Beauty and the Beast to Aladdin for the simple reason that the producers were very faithful to the story and songs of the former. Aladdin had too many elements changed, but asides that, it's a good production with a lot of sentimental value for folks who watched the original movie.

Will Smith has proven that he is a prolific actor and he did a fantastic job with the genie, considering what gigantic shoes Robin Williams left with the character of Genie.

an app on android may cost 4k. eg true caller subscription. but you can download a cracked truecaller and install.
cracked or hacked versions of games for andoid devices often ship with malware that may upload your data to remote servers.

What make is the device?

most of these 'china' phones [poco, tecno elephone, etc] are not certified by google and may be built with malware from the very start. i started a thread once about a deathwing trojan. the news has been all about huawei and ZTE and how intelligence services are warning about them. now imagine some corner corner chinko phone that could be sold by a triad. who knows what has been sneaked into it? it s coming to naija where ncc board member go straight to mtn after retirement, where SON is a joke. you will note that alt of these phones are sold ONLY in africa. even indians dey wake up.

You may have rogue apps phoning home and uploading your data.

a pirated app, or worse a 'legit' app may be uploading all your pictures because you agreed [google EULa]. that face aging app is a classic type of this app. apparently by installing the app, you are granting it access and rights to upload your entire gallery on your phone

I have the same problem with the fking windows store on my pc.
apple has the app store for iphone and ipada
google has the google play store
there are different stores for pc games [steam, epic, battle.net, origin, etc]

for windows 8.1 and windows 10, you have the windows store.
the windows store is mostly ok. in fact, it is kind of great for third world countries like nigeria because somehow, Microsoft has arranged to sell apps there at 2/3rds to 3/4s of the us price. what that means is an app like affinity designer is roughly 17k if i buy it on their website, is 10k on the windows store. And using the windows store, i can install the app on 10 devices, no story. so if you have a win 10 device and you want to save money, you can opt to buy some apps on their storefront. in the same vein some games are sold on the windows store for a fraction of the cost you will find them elsewhere. when deals are on, i can buy some very cool games for 4k [these would be 20-25k on other fronts

so from a cost savings perspective, the windows store is great. from a gamer perspective however, it is SHIIIT.

1) the locations where games are installed is encrypted and inaccessible. the other storefronts i mentioned steam, epic, etc. if you download a game of 20gb and you have multiple pcs at home you want to put the game on. download once, copy to flash, copy to the other pcs, do a little jiggery pokery, and the game is installed on the other PCS. winstore will not allow that. you will have to download the 20gb TO EACH OF THE PCs. it is even more messed up if you are doing a system migration. yesterday, i had to swap out a 1tb ssd for a 2tb ssd on my pc because i was running out of space. i was able to clone the drive, but the windows store would not recognize my 100gb of winstore games, so after a lot of agidi, i resigned myself to downloading them again. not a big deal with my swift free from 11pm to 8am except that . .

the effing winstore cannot be properly managed. most other game stores will set download fro 2am to 6am automatically. you have to close mark the windows store, or you will find it is downloading during your ISP charge period. i paused download this morning. i restarted my pc around 5pm. next thing around 6.30, i am with the kids, the internet is wonky, i get the swift exhausted data alert and i find that winfkingstore has downloaded 23gb in the space of two hours and wiped out my data for the month. and in true winstore style, the downloads are still buggered [they should have been completed] angry angry

i just spent the last 40 minutes hunting down a solution which i will deploy to all the pcs in the house. an app that will limit the bandwidth [close the tap almost completely] for winstore between 8am and 11pm

the windows store is a true story of the pain of unmanageable bandwidth and download remains long after the sweetness of low price angry angry

U can say that again bro. If I didn't have this data issue, I wouldn't have known about this, even though it was staring right in my face!!

I remember some weeks back when I was playing with my phone I stumbled into that exact place I found was causing the issue; u Know what I did? I ignored it fearing not to tamper with the device system settings interfering with my system updates and app store downloads cause I recently bought the phone.

I felt if I was having issue with it I'd go back and turn off the apps permissions, funny thing I forgot and only stumbled on it after rigorous hours of searching and tweaking system settings when I got into data troubles. cheesy sad

Running scared..7/10
Genre: Action, Crime, Drama

Nonstop action, that keeps you at the edge of your seat while guessing up to the very end. The plot was good & the acting was very believable especially Paul Walker's (rest his soul), the director also did very good, most of the gory & action scenes left me in awe. Another very good flick if you ask me.

Aladdin.. 8/10
Genre: Adventure, Comedy, Family

The story was updated yet, it still stayed true to the source material. Smith's Genie really tried, though he wasn't as memorable as Robin Williams. Though the flick wasn't as great as the original, yet, the storyline/plot was very good, the colors and scenery were amazing, the acting was very good, a very big thumbs up to Naomi Scott the MVP of the entire movie, she sings and acts beautifully. All the songs were also beautifully done. All of the above put together, evoked a strong nostalgic feeling in me. Asides the very few pardonable discrepancies between some of the cast in relation to the actual cartoon characters, the movie was very good. A big thanks to Disney for this one. If you despise singing & dancing in movies, pls steer clear of this one.

Genre:Drama, Western

Outstanding, that's the perfect word that bests describes this flick. This was no doubt one of the best Western movies I've seen after 3:10 to Yuma. The storyline was great, the acting was perfect, every actor was so on point, directing & cinematography was top notch, in fact, every thing about the movie was superb. Now i seriously need to check out all Quentin Tarantino movies, cause its quite obvious the dude really knows his onions. It was quite hilarious how L Jackson substituted the word are with is

Shadow {2019}

One thing I look forward to in Chinese/Korean movies is the fight. I really care less about the storyline (because I believe they hardly have one to start a fight). Shadow however, have very few fight scenes with beautiful build up story. Very enjoyable, entertaining and inspiring.

A true 8/10
