If it's insecurity then what exactly are the naval forces doing in the Baracks instead of patrolling the water ways? When it's time to move oil from those same ports to abroad there are no problems but to bring them back refined to the same ports you sight insecurity and rather move everything to Lagos, having us moving back refined oil through tankers. Nigeria i hail thee. Very wicked and useless country. Sabotaging the economy of your fellow countrymen just because you hate them.

East is not avoided, they just dont direct ships there.

Yet the east is where 95% of Nigeria's revenue comes from.

No worry, our eye don open.
95% revenue? Like seriously?
Hope you're not integrating south South too as part of the East?

Just like Boko Haram destruction of life and property will never stop in the North East until Nigeria apologize to Biafra for not setting up South East development commission after the civil war and Fulani herdsmen will keep acquiring lands in the South west forest until Lagos is taken over.

200 Ships Now Berth In Warri Ports – NPA DG / Re-arresting Nnamdi Kanu A Mistake Govt Must Avoid–eastern Consultative Assembly / Only 8 Agencies Allowed To Operate At Nigerian Ports - NPA

Viewing the above comment headings I saw the name nnamdi KANU federal "gamman"cannot use fund to open or widen port so that Igbo's will have part ways to secced by having logistics as well as a port for naval activities "we Igbo's will one day dreg it with our Biafrans dollars"so he says.

95 what?
SS is not SE.

Is there crude oil in Enugu?
Is there crude oil in Ebonyi?
Is there crude oil in Imo state?

Even Abia are Anambra don't have enough (that is if they even have)

It's time the igbos realize SS is not part of South east.

Onne port is not working to installed capacity. Stop the lies.

Why not blame eastern importers for not using eastern ports, why blaming the NPA as usual? Have you heard at any time that any ship was turned back from going to any eastern port and forced to offload in Lagos?

I’m sure that you’ve never imported anything in Nigeria if u really think that importers control the sail direction of vessels.

The main problem with these ports is that the river channels leading to them are too narrow to accommodate large vessels. The shipping companies find it more convenient to take their vessels to Lagos than to eastern sea ports.

But the large ships lifting oil that revenue will be shared to all from Abuja allocation don't face any issues using the eastern ports to transport oil. Keep defending injustice embarassed

other reasons are mere propaganda
which shallowness of sea.. have u ever being to SS in ur entire life. there's enough sea ocean to site a fictional port in the Eastern region. from coast of Delta to carlaba. but unfortunately the FG is playing sentimental politics to economics development of the country

In a reasonable working Country there's supposed to be a sea port in states like Ondo, Rivers, Anambra, A/ ibom. Delta, all this states has the ability and potential to decongest Lagos Port

it's just a matter of time

This is a fat lie, and one of the misinformation used to stunt the patronage of all ports from Warri to Calabar (Warri, Koko, Port Harcourt, Ibaka Deep Sea Port, Onitsha, Calabar, etc)

Can you back up this false claims with technical facts? The NPA Managing Director claims the channels are too shallow because of silting. She forgot that one of the primary responsibilities of a ports manager, is to regularly sweep port access channels to ensure enough draught for ships.

Regular sweeping and dredging is done for Apapa port to keep the channel open. Why is it not done for other ports in the South South and Eastern flank of Nigeria?

God is watching all of you with all the lies you use to keep this country down for the benefit of a few

Please talk what you know, which LNG are you talking about? NLNG have their loading jetty, two as a matter of fact in Bonny, Mobil also have theirs in Bonny and Shell also load in Bonny sea but not directly from their terminal. My mum is from Finima Bonny Island and I worked with NLNG for years. You can also use Google Earth to locate the facility and see it for yourself.
sweetgala:

LNG is sent by pipes to be refined to dry gas. And trust me if they had a way to avoid sending ships through the SS waterways to be refined abroad they'll do just that.

And they tried. If only the SS bunkerers and militants would stop busting the oil pipelines which are meant to send oil towards Lagos for onwards shipping

The Eastern ports aren't functional because of neglect by the federal government and your are asking a mere importer to develop it through it's usage. Your illiteracy stinks to the high heavens!
