Algeria beat Senegal twice this year. And they just beat Colombia. That proves something.

Ukraine beating Portugal (With C Ronaldo) just once proves nothing until they replicate this feat consistently. Until then, Ukraine is not a yardstick and that we beat them does not mean we have arrived.

Senegal did not defend deep like we did. They have Mane and others.

Who do we have?

Until we arrive, let's accept that for now all we can do is defend deep against any top team like we did against Brazil and escaped with a draw.
They didn't defend deep you say? I'm not sure you saw the game, their goal even came via PK

Ukraine is not a top team and therefore not a yardstick. They are not in the FIFA top 20. Even Senegal ranks above them.

That they beat Portugal proves nothing, just as it proves nothing that Madagascar beat us.

So like I said earlier, against top teams all we can do is defend deep for 90. minutes and hope on luck.

We are not there yet.

have you forgotten Ukraine have not lost an home match for a while now..

and Nigeria almost broke shevchenko record...

before you write something always verify...
Senegal has mane fine...
asking that country who does Nigeria have shows you're ignorant or you just wanna belittle our players....

I doubt if Senegal can beat or even draw fps present super eagles team...forget the previous result we had against them

you think you can become Nigeria's president someday ?

please if you don't wanna leave..don't discourage others.

do you know that is more easier for southern born abroad to become even PM or president in their birth country and make positive impacts without prejudice or jaundice but reason because they can deliver than for them to be president in this country....

you think, the best are ruling US?
Nigeria is beyond repair if you have the opportunity to move out...please do...

I can assure many Nigerians in British government and even Canada won't have had that opportunity of they were in Nigeria...

You never jam salary.

I tell you...especially when you're privileged to work in places like TOTAL E&P, NLNG etc...

the salary and job benefits for a GT from this place... is more than the average turn over for most Nigeria business...let alone a manager....

someone like Bab omotowa who rose from being a management trainee at NLNG to being the global vice president shell @ Netherlands now.... just don't wanna imagine his salary...

Madagascar are not as good as we are. They most likely cannot repeat that feat against us.

Sorry to puncture your ego but Algeria can beat us again. Twice we have been unable to beat Senegal. They are both better than us. This shouldn't even be a debate. They have better players than we do.

No disrespect o but I just saw d Columbia team Algeria beat, no James Rodriguez, no Falcao, no Duvan Zapata, no Christian Zapata, no Quintero, no Carlos Bacca.

If we were the one we'll start hearing things like "is not thier first team they use, that's why we beat them".

I don't think it matters the team he plays against but more on the tactics of the team he plays for. Like I've said countless times here, Rohr is to defensively minded for a team bundled with players with attacking flair and their strength far better than the defensive ability of the team. He plays for Genk currently and scored against a top team. At midjtylland, he scored against Man U I. The Europa league and they were mostly second to Copenhagen.

It's Rohr's tactics they doesn't suit him, even osimehin had to shelve his game style to be running deep.
but but when thegoodjoe was making this excuses for Iheanacho nobody was seeing it in this light the popular opinion here was for Iheanacho to adjust to the coach's style as against being rigid

You are very right Olu. I also noticed same thing in the Colombian line up and bench before the game began. I just didn't wanna take away anything from the Algerians. But the truth is while the Algerians fielded their Best XI... Colombia didn't. Fact.

Meanwhile, Nigeria took on what could be said was very close to Brazil's Best XI plus the best off their bench. Nigeria missed four Key Regulars in Musa, Etebo, Omeruo and Kalu. Key men these are and we played like we missed no one.

No they didn't defend deep for 90 mins like we did.
Did you watch the game atall?

They had 47% ball possession against Brazil's 53%. They had 10 shots against Brazil's 11.

Senegal is a better team than us on paper and they have better players.

The odds favor them to beat us if we meet.

Our front line (Kalu, Osimhen, Chukwu ) are rookies and are gradually finding their feet. Chuks' inexperience was glaring multiple times in his decision making during the last 2 games.

We can eventually grow into world beaters with these great prospect but my point is for now call a spade a spade and accept that we are 3rd in Africa (behind Algeria and Senegal) and not quite world beaters yet.

We are not ready for WC2022.

Brazil found it easier against us than Senegal.

And a point we never got a breathing space. They threw the attack on us like stones.
