For those my Brothers and sisters asking for details well, here they are.

I got there 4:30am and still met 5 people . They started calling for applicants at 6:15am and then everything was as it should until we got to the Area where the consular officers are working.

NOTE: you will have to open all envelopes you have No matter who it is meant for. Even the evenlope that is meant for the Consular officer should opened outside else they will turn you back and you may miss 1 hour of already gained time.

So they called my number and this older African American lady greeted me with so much passion and she had a face of someone that looks impressed with me.
She gave me my rights and told me incase I'm going through any form of domestic violence that i should know what to do.

She then asked "one" question which was a sort of a plea for me to enlighten her a bit about the circumstances regarding the birth of my fiancee.

She asked, "is your fiancee a naturalized citizen ?"
I explained the circumstances to her and gave her the answer to the question telling her the life of my fiancee and her parents. This woman was so impressed that she told me I was approved right there. But I wasn't happy because I went through a great deal preparing documents and how can she not look at them.

So I took a "gamble" according to my own fiancee lol and then I asked her to please at least look at my Evidence for the sake of pleasure and then she did. She looked at them all and had so much smile on her face.

THESE ARE THE FACTS OF MY CASE.

1. we got NOA1 a week after

2. We got NOA2 3 months 7 days after

3. We followed due process getting an interview date and the embassy wrote us stating they were prepared to receive us for an interview.

4. I and my fiancee have just one visit. Shes a Nurse and trust me she doesn't have time to do all that Travelling.

5. My girl is older than me.

I encourage everyone to be very confident and pray very hard before getting there. Pray for the Grace of God to go with you. I thank you all for all your guidance the past two years. Cheers.

A happy new year to everyone here. I'm glad to be a part of this family but I need your help with this.

My fiancee is planing to be here next month but we're confused on the process to follow for him to be here as he has never traveled out of his country before. He was told he'll be needing a passport (which may take about 6weeks to be ready) and his flight ticket.

Is this correct?
How much does the passport cost?
How much does the ticket cost?
Is there a way to expedite the passport?

And if this info is wrong, kindly guide us through. Thank you and God bless y'all.

My transcripts;
My fiance started the process may 2019 and we got a response from them may 18th or so that they received our petition so the long wait started they notified us of approval ist week august that its been sent to nvc,nvc notified second week in sept that its been sent to lagos,so we await the email from embassy when they ll be ready so that we can schedule appointment but Lagos wrote us end of october that they are ready to begin the final processing but effort to schedule appointment before the validity expires in december proved abortive however jan date came up as the next available date..
Gathering all necessary documents infact this festive buhaha didnt even feel it on me as my mind and brain was fixed for yesterday..
My interview;
Got to the embassy 5:40am we were asked to stay by a park/field with a gate,we were quite much there until the security men started filling pple on a que for immigrant visas by 6:15am,we were on a que went through several security checks, till we finally got to the interview hall just has @efozee rightly said u need to open all documents at that stage.. fast forward to the interview
CO:Hello how are you doing?
Me:very well thank you
CO: who is petitioning for you
ME:mentioned hubby full name
CO: when and how did you guys meet
Told him,cos i met my hubby 15years ago while doing his youth service&i i seeking admission to the university there so after the nysc he came to lagos and we lost touch since then until 2017 so it was a great re-union and we rekindled what he felt for me then back, told him and sort off the CO was so interested in the full gist of how we met particularly what happened there how he toasted sef..lolzz. it was very funny he seemed to be enjoying the conversation by zipping his tea after each answers..
He asked the job he does over there, the dates he came in after the reunion, hubby came in 2017,&2019 ,his date of birth.
He asked if i met his pple and he did mine too when he came 2017,i answered him yes cos he did.
He further asked to know what happened after losing contact and what he told me exactly when he made a come back..lolz..cos hubby relocated to the uk joined british army but later relocated to the US..he seemed so interested in it,quickly told him all as to how i took my time to see if he still truly has same feelings as he did way back ,told him how he got married over there but it didnt work out after some years and had to divorce,he asked if he gave me his divorce decrees i said yes and handed it over to him after checking he gave it back to me.
He also asked of proves he came as in i should show him pictures which i did funny enough he didnt check 2019 pics he just glanced through the 2017 pics only he didnt even check 2019 pics ,neither did he check the printed chats and call logs, less i forget prior before i was called one of the embassy staff who first checked my pack called me to return the pics my fiance sent over there to them(USCIS)
CO:he asked what was the hottest misunderstanding we ever had ,he said i can't tell him our relationship has been rosy all the way told him we all know every relationship has its up and down(told him one of the hottest we had in 2018)
While telling him that, he asked midway if i have /if we both have kids told him no,he asked for my hubby most recent tax,i gave him after checking it he handed it over back to me..
He Zips tea concurrently and ask i continue with the misunderstanding story i feel he was just enjoying the conversation style of interview..after it he told me he understands everything being a man.
He even complimented me as being well correlated and told me he is extending my expired petition of dec 21st and he is also approving my visa (he gave this smiling look when he said he is approving my visa)it was very funny, told him thank you and he wished me best of luck..

My advise is
One should pray well concerning it before going.
One should ensure your answers correlate with what was written in the letter sent by our fiance or fiancee when filling the petition.
One should know every detail about your partner.
Be confident in your, ensure a eye contact and smile to them if possible...
I pray for more approvals for members who still have interviews in jesus name..Amen.. cheers lld update as everything progress ..thanks everyone..@legitbachelor #xoxo

Your fiance is correct. It takes 6 to 8 weeks. Yes, he can expedite and get it even the same day but usually he needs a prove, the travel is very urgent, also to have a ticket, visa and yellow fever vaccine, simple I want to expedite usually doesn't work specially for the 1st passport. The ticket cost depends of the season and the airline, give it around $1,500 USD, he also needs Yellow fiver vaccine certificate and Nigerian visa. The vaccine has time to be active, if it's few days old, Nigerian custom could stop him at arrival and Nigerian embassy makes troubles to give a visa, they may delay and they ask you to send a signed invitation letter.

So your fiance will be spending around 2,500 for the trip, maybe more if he books the hotel and he needs about 2 months for to get all ready.

I need help here pls.. Anybody!

I met my man on the first week of this month and we're already making plans for him to come and meet my family by January so that after his visit, we can start our k1 visa application. I need help with the following.

1: He's 18 years older than I am. I hope this won't be a red flag?
2: he's divorced
3. He has four kids from his previous marriage (could this be a red flag too?)
4: we intend applying after the first visit.
5. Will the length of our relationship affect our application in any way?

We really want to be together as soon as possible and k1 Visa seems the quickest. What would u advice we do? Am anticipating a response as soon as possible. Thank you!
@legitbachelor and others pls help me out.

I am new to nairaland so am not sure my first message was sent so am resending it. Sorry for any inconveniences caused. God bless
He is probably paying a huge child support, maybe spouse support too. The main problem you will have it's the Affidavit for Support for your visa unless he is very rich. Moving to America is sweet but marrying with 4 kids will give you a very hard life here, all his income (60% and more) will go to his 1st wife and kids and for you and even your kids it will be never enough and never the same as for his 1st wife. He is not a marriage material in America because of that.

You are too pessimistic. How did you know her fiancee is still paying child support? You didn't even ask if his children is above 18years. Who told you 60% or more of his income will go to his wife and kids? Cases are different, the reason for their divorce and the situation depends how much money he will pay monthly not automatically what you typed up there. You always bring negativity here. Pls stop.

I am telling how it works here. Let her come, marry and then confirm what I said. And you believe America is a paradise. Live here and learn.

Negative are YOU. Ask in any American forum about a young woman marrying older divorced man with 4 kids. Don't blame me, it's the reality here.
Also you don't have a clue how American fathers are, they give all the money to the kids from the first marriage and the kids always ask and ask, car is not working, I need for rent, I need gifts for holidays, then grand kids need this and that, drugs and alcohol troubles, jail, accidents, parties, American kids never grow up until we die. I hope the Nigerian lady won't live or receive his kids in the house. This lady is young and beautiful, I pity her.

@gudnexvincent if you both love each other, you will be approved. Mine was almost that age gap and I was approved. It depends on how you can prove your case to the CO that it's not a scam.

Lol, go ask the advice somewhere else. Who told you read mine? It was the answer to another person, Gudnexvincent. Why are you sticking your nose here?
You go, go, you are not an American to know about our life. And the lady will learn how it works here in US by her own experience.

Oga abeggiii!!! Your negativity too much jareh.

If it were left to you, every Nigerian aside you should never leave for the US or join their better half there. Who knows if you’re actually there self. I have never seen you say congratulations to any successful applicant. Always so quick to deliver the negative perspective. Go rest jareh!

I am NOT a Nigerian. I am white American from European descendants. No negativity here, I helped and helping many Nigerian friends to get the visa but, I always tell the truth and I don't sugar my posts as many of you do. Sugar lies and nothing really useful to help others.

I am not saying all but many Nigerians are very selfish and make many lies.
Not saying congrats? What for? I better answer to questions to Gudnexvincent to which NOBODY answers, so busy all of you just saying congrats.
