Start practicing now. It's not just going to be two weeks. At least a month. You guys are killing me softly. You must be millennials . Us "only children"/Generation X/X-ennials has been prepared for this our whole lives. The original latchkey kids. This is a cake walk! Been on lockdown since beginning of March don't care. Bring on another two months!!! Takes a strong mind to be alone 1 Like |

radautoworks: Whatever rocks their boat... Ironically, the lockdown favours some people. A colleague was telling me how a couple sneaked in last week for a follicular tracking testing. (This is to enable them determine the sex of their desired baby). Imagine the height of the game |

radautoworks: If you have been trying to get pregnant for a few months, and consult a doctor, you will be advised to go through Follicular Study or a Follicular Scan every month to keep a track on your ovulation cycle. It tells you when you're ovulating and when to play the game to increase chances of a male child or a female child. Here, the phase are mostly done for high probability of making a MALE child...sorry ladies lol. The Y chromosome is a scarce commodity. (Note: Male XY, Female XX). It needs to be on a lockdown to fertilise either of the two XX from the woman to yield a MALE child. |

Anyone using Wi-Fi on Uber here please? How far reaching is the network, especially in some far places around Ajah and on the mainland? Any help or clues as to which network provider may be better? |

Warning long post! But a must read if you love tomorrow. Hello good people of this state in Nairaland. I have been on Nairaland as a ghost, for more than 6 years. I felt the need to come out from the shadows last week when gbas gbos was rampant but I didn't realise I have to wait for a bragging right before saying 'pim'. Finally I got to brag here, thought not in the sense you already know (if you know what I mean.) First I like to thank all the resourceful persons on this thread for their contributions. They are pure gold. It really helped me ramp up quickly when I started driving. From my observation, the topic today has been boredom. I would like to give an idea of how to use this self isolation times to your advantage. I have come to realise that the greatest equity you can have in this age is a skillset. To eliminate any forthcoming argument, think about why you are driving on Uber/Bolt- you know how to drive (or you just learned it for the hustle.) Now that is a skill, irrespective of your admission or appreciation of it. I'd rather you appreciate it no matter the low returns. I bet you would love to get to another level, yes? Pay attention because I am about to spill the beans. I would suggest you use this period of lockdown to identify another skill and learn it. It could be graphic design, motion graphics, editing, web design, coding, whatever you are interested in. YouTube is a great college. The world has never been so connected. We are living in an exciting and interesting times. You may never have this resource- time- as you are enjoying now. Kill that boredom with making positive use of your time. Who knows you may never have to do 18 hours+ on the wheels again after the lockdown, because of how you chose to spend your time. The time is now. Finally, please and please, stay safe for posterity. Stay home, save yourself. Don't think the lockdown would end after the 2 weeks window. Believe me scarier things are about to happen in the coming weeks. You can only tell the story if you stay home and safe. It has happened before and the people that tell the story were those that stayed safe. May the Almighty protect us all. Thank you! 20 Likes |
