bidexiii: The number of locally built military vehicles in use with the Nigerian army is steadily growing. Very soon we would hit the 30% mark between locally made Nigerian vehicles vs imported. 4 Likes

mekussa: You are a preek. Silly guys think i must convince them. Who are you that I should convince you. If that cropped document don't satisfy you, then suck water. Smh. But, only a foolish fellow will believe that the Nigerian Navy has no attack capability, or missiles. That implies, an enemy vessel can attack Nigeria without challenge. You are stewpid if you believe that. I belong to many elite military forums and I can tell you that this forum has many low calibre pipu. I guess the bulk are just recruits, judging from their posts. No strategic thinking, no rationality, no independent thought, no global historic knowledge,... they just post pics and shout "powerful country". Smh. |

According to the article, Nigeria's 3 drones will cost $25 million while Uganda's 2 drones will cost $20 million. The drone is said to have an endurance of 12 hours with full payload. For a SMALL SURVEILLANCE DRONE, 8million per unit is not sweeping me too much 2 Likes |

Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work will be performed in Nigeria, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 30, 2021. Fiscal 2019 overseas contingency operations, defense funds in the amount of $25,610,000 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity (W911QY-20-C-0025)." |

Toju200: The one from China is definitely for the air force it is also capable of launching missiles and carrying out surveillance missions, the over drone is likely to survey areas of the country to create a some sort of proper database |

Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Stargate254: 7:54pm On May 09, 2020 |
kabe1:A week has not passed since this incident happened, It started with Kenya civil aviation reporting the plane had disapeared from radar and a few hours later, reportedely it had crashed in Somalia undr unclear circumstance and that all Kenyan planes flying over Somalia airspace should take all the precautions . At this point Ethiopia denied any involvement, while the Kenyan govt was demanding swift investigation.. 5th May 2020 Then the Somali president called his Kenyan counterpart and they agreed to jointly investigate 06th May 2020. But then when the Kenyan investigating team arrived at the crash site on the same day, Ethiopian troops from the airport blocked Kenyan investigators and soldiers from accessing the site, knowing what would be discovered. Ethiopian forces on Tuesday barred Kenya from accessing the crash site of a light aircraft that killed all six on board. After Kenya protesting through diplomatic channels, Ethiopia then allowed the invetigation on the crash site on condition that it is also allowed to sends it own investigators to join in . The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) support a mutual investigation by Somalia, Kenya & Ethiopia on Bardale Plane crash of 4th May 2020. After the swift and transparent investigation by the joint team, Ethiopia had no choice but to admit that its the one that did it before the conclution pointed towards them bieng the cause of the crash. Aanyway, to answer your other question, Ethiopian and Somalia president have been having a bromance, so they(Ethiopia) have been given some leeway by the central government in exchange for some favours ... This has not played well inside Somalia local politics and this incident will add fuel to the fire because 2 of those that died are Somali citizens (in addition to the 4 Kenyans). As for Kenya, in this particular incident, the blame should be put on Ethiopian troops who BTW were not operating under AMISOM flag/authority, It's only been hours since Ethiopia took resposibility for their mistake so I can't tell what would be the reaction from Kenya in light of this new information, At the very least Kenya should demand Ethiopia compensate $4 Million ($1 Million for each of the families of the 4 who died). 2 Likes |
