Typical Barca fan. In a choice between Modric, Pirlo and xavi there is no way you will bin Modric.

First of all, it was 1 goal lead, not 2.

Chelsea went into that final day just one point ahead of Man Utd in the table so the match is a must win for us to lift the trophy.

Anelka scored an early goal. The game was dicey till that penalty..... At 1-0 the game is still anybody's game, especially when a draw might cost us the league. And just before the penalty, news came in that Man Utd have scored in their own game.

Lampard is the designated penalty taker and 2-0 will most likely seal the game. And here is Drogba wanting to take the penalty (at that moment, he is still tied on 26 goals with Rooney). If its not personal glory, tell me why Drogba will want to take that penalty considering what is at stake that moment?
So, basically Drogba can't play a pk under that kinda pressure abi??
what if Lampard had missed it?? and things went bad from there, i'm quite sure you'd be part of his slayers rn.

Drogba was a known penalty misser. His body language was too easy to read. I've seen him miss penalties before that the goalkeeper can easily telegraph from his body language. Tall players don't usually fare well with penalties due to their physiology being easy to read. That's how he missed Ivory Coast chance of glory in AFCON. I was surprised he scored that penalty in Munich TBH. I expected him to miss.
wow, Tall Players
Ronaldo, Zlatan, Ronaldinho, Zizou, Aubameyang, Lewandowski.....

dem dey miss am wella abi..

No be my choice? Typical Madrid fan drops Xavi. Of course Xavi is first, and I'll take Pirlo over Modric. People will choose Lampard over Scholes or Zidane here grin

Drogba at 81% has higher success rate than Messi 77%, Aguero 78%, Tevez 70% and the same as Suarez. Also some of the most dependable penalty takers have been 6ft and above.
The following players are about Drogba’s height or taller.

Matt Le Tissier 98%

Rickie Lambert 94%

Zlatan Ibrahimović 88%

Mile Jedinak 100%

Cantona >90%

I won't drag this with you further than this.

Drogba cannot take a penalty when Lampard is in the pitch because the coach gave the responsibly to Lampard. Same way there are designated players for corner kicks, free kicks (both right side and left). All these duties have been preselected.

UNLESS Lampard feels like, then he hands the ball to Drogba (which he did in the second half when Chelsea got another penalty).

It was very clear that Drogba wanted to increase his goal tally in order to win the golden boot (personal award) but Lampard want to secure the win first (team trophy) before any other thing.

Lampard did the right thing.

Elekahia was in total lockdown before Obio/Akpo and Phalga as a whole. Unless the relaxing tomorrow will affect them too. In that case Mile 1 will be relaxed too.... And if that is the case, na to blow Ikwerre road straight to town.

Didn't even think of this.

The traffic today was not as bad as I anticipated. I guess it's due to those roads(like Ikwerre road) previously locked down that have been opened.

Hopefully, tomorrow will also be light on traffic.

Did that stop him from making his millions? Nah.

I won't blame Lampard for refusing to give the PK to Drogba because the game was dicey at 1-0 against a bogey team in Wigan a draw and Man Utd win would have spelled disaster for Chelsea on that day. Lampard did well for putting team success above personal glory in this case which is Drogba's golden boot ambition, Drogba wasn't the designated pk taker and his request was borne out of selfishness the coach will blame Lampard had he acceded to Drogba's demand and he missed the crucial spotkick. In that same season Darren Bent offered a PK to Kenwyne Jones who had bad run of games without a goal, Jones missed the spotkick and Sunderland either drew or lost the game, their coach Steve Bruce lambasted Darren Bent for offering the PK to Jones.

So religion is the hindrance to development and growth in our land??

Mister go and hold your government
You expect a nation that has far, far larger number of mosques and churches than schools, research institutes, hospitals, and companies to develop and grow?

Well, I didn't expect more from a person that believes in miracles.

Perhaps, future generations of Nigerians and Africans will be smarter by placing more value on science, education, and research than worshipping dead gods and goddesses that don't exist on this plane any longer and pay no heed whatsoever to them.

Do I need to hold any government responsible when I know nearly all our leaders have the same warped mentality about religion like a major percentage of the masses?

Our leaders are simply a reflection of the masses.

Religious people believe in miracles, which explains the fact that many would vote a dullard like Buhari and are still expecting him and praying for him to deliver.

Nigerians ignorantly feel we can pray our way to greatness. And sadly many of us feel that way, including the political class.

That's a recipe for disaster. Praying for a better Nigeria for the next 100 years won't change a thing, until we put religions aside, focus less on these fake, imported gods, and work to make the country better.

Belief in miracles and billion, trillions of prayers don't make a country great; we've to first change our mentality, need to be less fixated on God, and believe we're the ones that create our reality.

That change in mindset will enable us to elect smart leaders with ideas irrespective of religious, ethnic and political affiliations, allowing us to place more values on science, education, and research.

Sadly, I don't see that happening in our time; most Nigerians are too dumb to engage in deep, critical thinking, and religions have done (and still continue to do) a lot of damage to people's critical thinking.
