Schools, especially pricate schools only want the extortion to continue in the name of school fees. No logical government will ask schools to resume at this time. Who will coordinate young children who cant stay safe independently? Many of the tertiary and secondary students will have to travel to various states for school. Does that mean the interstate travel ban will be lifted too. The teaching sector needs to know they are as affected as other sectors too. Ask entertainment and events? Nobody is screaming parties and shows should commence. Open schools and get ready to start reading 5000 daily new cases. 5 Likes 1 Share |

If the safety measures are properly put in place, schools can be allowed to open. We can't just close School for so long like that. 1 Like |

I concor! Going by the NCDC "league" results, the figures keep increasing compared to the figures that led to the schools being closed. What's the wisdom in opening the schools if they keep reporting an average of a hundred cases everyday? We can't even tell if the figures are true or imaginary. Based on the figures they present to us, please keep the schools closed. Not too long ago, before covid19 entered the country, we were saying that our borders should be shut but they didn't listen. That's why we are where we are(Osibande, 2019) Now we are saying don't open our schools. Will they listen? 6 Likes |

That woman said her mind. I see the fact that she is speaking from an honest view. However, students in tertiary and secondary want to resume and graduate at the set time. They don't need more extension on the time to graduate. Period! #Resume_Our_School 3 Likes 1 Share |

Schools should be opened gradually. Like allowing all tertiary institutions to be opened together with ss3 students so they would do their waec. The result of the above will tell when others (pupils) will resume. 3 Likes |

Jokerman:Which other parents? Are you a parent? Oh I guess you are a teacher. I know how you feel. In my place of work, no one is ready to release his/her children. Schools are only ready to resume because of collection of school fees. 10 Likes |

martineverest: You can just imagine... salary is now more important than the lives of young children. I doubt if some of the people commenting on this forum have children at all. Perhaps they don't understand what it means to have a child sick of normal infection or malaria and taking that child to the hospital, talkless of Corona virus. As a parent, you can not be at rest. When you now talk of putting a child in isolation without the mother or father being there, do our isolation centers have that capability? It takes a lot of psychology to take blood from a child for test, talkless of sticking something into his nostrils...our parents here can relate. The nation had 389 cases, 256 cases was from Lagos alone...the highest single day record so far. And they are thinking of opening schools and religious centres?? I am personally going to chat with the LASG official number on their Facebook page about this intended reopening of schools vis-a-vis the yesterday's report of high number of cases. Good enough, the handler of the official number responds via SMS and WhatsApp promptly. I have engaged him like 2-3 times on various issues. Let's get things right at this time. 6 Likes |

before you scream open school or close school.. ask your self if as a Parent , if your child contracts the virus in school and is forcefully taking to an isolation center after a teacher calls NCDC because they noticed some symtomps, IDC center where you cant see your child, you dont know what they are feeding him, or if he/she is coughing bloods out of his lungs , would you be comfortable sleeping in your house not knowing what you kids are going through? all because you want some private school teachers to have a job, or you want education over your childrens safety . . 7 Likes |
