It's a grey area but the question for you is whether every DUI is automatically an EMT call. The country has a health service to run, not flood the hospitals s and Emergency service with tens of thousands of drunks per week at the expense of real emergencies. The biggest problem with the political ideology in the United States today is that both ends of the spectrum fail to acknowledge when one extreme is actually right. There is nothing wrong with a conservative admitting to the correctness of a liberal view in a situation, vice versa. We have become soo rigid that it becomes automatic to oppose another view just because we align with another.

More importantly, not all democrats are liberals, while few, there are conservative Democrats, same with republicans, there centrist and left-leaning republicans who still hold some conservative views.

Meanwhile, for those blaming guns, how many bullets did they use to kill George Floyd and Eric Garner. Police brutality is just the most obvious symptom of racial injustice and inequality. If you just take away guns only there will just be more choking and baton crushing. Also police brutality is not just about shootings, that is just the tip of the iceberg. There are countless other non-homicide related instances of police brutality going on every day.

African-Americans are not really asking for whites to love them BUT for fair and equal treatment by law and order agencies and by the justice system.
You don't have to know a human being personally or love them before you treat them justly. Just accept that they are human like you and deserve to be treated as such.

Different Cops... Different mentality
This scenario is far different from that of Rayshard. The white guy took a less harmful weapon (baton) from the officer and drove off with their car. Common sense should tell you that the car would be tracked and the guy will be facing the book. This isn't even a white privilege issue. We've seen lotta black guys open fire on police vehicles, beat up cops rob them and do worst, yet they get away with it. This is far different from Rayshard's case, Dude pointed a taser at a cop and you expect the officer just to pass out like that without doing anything?. Do you know the kind of fear the cop would've have felt if Rayshard eventually tased him? Especially this desperate times.
This scenario is just different from that of Rayshard.

Like Donjazet has said previously you can't paint the various forms of racism that exists in different countries with the same brush.
Eric Garner, George Floyd and so many others like them were brutalized (and in some cases killed) by policemen who didn't use guns and whose lives were not in danger from a potentially gun-wielding black man.

The history of racism against blacks and police (in certain cases public) brutality against blacks in the U.S is different from what you get in most of the Western world. Whites were still lynching blacks in significant numbers and burning black homes into the 1960s. Nearly 1 million Americans died in a war mainly about the right to own black slaves.

I have no problem against gun control as a general principle, but thinking gun control alone will eradicate what we are seeing in America today is akin to taking paracetamol for a headache caused by stroke. Police brutality against blacks is not the cause of the problem, it is the result of the problem.
