Someone said Havertz signing looks like an odd tactical fit unless Lampard will find a way to fit in the pieces, and I really agree with him.

In Leverkusen's 3-4-2-1 system, Havertz features as the right forward. He starts on the inside right channel, then cuts inside onto his lethal left foot and have an effect on the game, almost exact job we signed Ziyech to do. So who drops for the other?

His numbers doesn't suggest he'll be a fit for the CM position - 17 goals and three assists definitely looks like a figure that belongs to someone who prefers spending more time on the final third and the opposition's box. When not playing as a right forward, he's often deployed as a false nine. So clearly, he's far more of an attacker than a midfielder.

So where do we place him?

Just unless Lampard is looking to create a dream team, where Havertz gets pushed up field to partner Timo Werner, that's the only way this signing makes sense.

However, that'll still impede the development of Mount, as we'll need two natural CMs to always start if we must feature our fantastic four.

I guess people don't know havertz that's why they are critical of his addition.

I swear the havertz I follow is a perfect addition any team can wish for, he can do everything as a player; he can pass, he can run, he can nod, he can shoot, he can dribble, their is a German name they gave him which translate to someone that can do everything.
He can play 8, 10, 11, 9 and 7
He is very neat and tidy on the ball.
He can use both legs quite well.
And he said he like playing in 8 because it will allow him to have more of the ball I think lampard is going to use him there or 10 role.

I am just praying and hoping he doesn't flop in EPL.

Well, i still maintain my stance that coughing out £75m on him is a waste of money when you have similar players in Hakim & Reuben.
Imagine selling Mario Pasalic for a paltry sum of £13m , a player who has performed admirably similarly to Havertz run in the Serea A and the champions league.
A central/Attacking midfielder who's tall, strong ,very good in the air and can also play behind the striker .
His goal & assists stats for over 2 seasons are awesome. His ability to drive from the midfield and make defining passes sets him apart from our current mid fielders. He's even more defensively sound than this overrated Havertz.

I see another KDB/Mo Salah situation playing out in 2/3seasons.
