Against Croatia, whenever he got the ball, we were sure not to lose it. Etebo had 10 successful dribbles in that game alone. I recall one of them where he skillfully and with some power got away from his markers.

Against Iceland, he did a Yeoman's job.

Against South Africa at the Afcon, that free kick he smashed against the post from over 25 yards or so. Mehn... The SA keeper wan die that day. If that had gone in, no one would be asking what WOW moments he had for us.

Also, do you forget his showing against Algeria? Etebo was the reason we even won a penalty in the first place. He kept trying his hits from distance and one of them resulted in a penalty.

Etebo has been good for us overall but what he doesn't offer us is the ability to link the midfield and attack very well from a central midfield role . He always act alongside Ndidi as part of a double pivot. He is a good ball retainer and ball holder but not a good ball carrier which is something Aribo does effortlessly. Aribo also knows when and how to time his runs into the box from midfield to provide an extra threat for us in the final third. Etebo doesn't do that. But in all, Etebo has given his best for us but time is coming when he would not be guaranteed of a starting place anymore. And that time is fast approaching. I leave it all to time.

With all these said... He is still a key and experienced member of our darling Super Eagles.

Exactly his inability to link the midfied with the attack remains a problem

Another Nigerian likely to grace La Liga

His name is Saturday Keigo Erimuya. A Central Defender doing his thing for Cadiz/Cadiz B.

He played the first 45 mins for Cadiz in their preseason friendly yesterday and had a decent showing. Wore Jersey #37. The coach introduced new players in the second half. Game ended 1-1 but the goals came in the second half.

Hé featured majorly for Cadiz B in the Spanish Third tier and was one of their main stays in the side. Starting 26 games. Was never subbed in once. Also, he stands at 1.90m.

Note: He was part of the Siasia-coached Nigeria U-23 side that won bronze at the Rio 2016 Olympic games. He only played 1 minute+ in the whole competition vs Honduras in the third place tie.

A few years ago l was oportuned to go too Cadiz the first team was poor quality IMO.

And l cannot imagine the quality of the B team.

So he needs to do a lot more.

Iwobi has been far better at it than Etebo. You cannot even compare. But this is not about the AM role. It is about the CM role. Aribo does the ball carrying and links up well with our final third personnel effortlessly better than Etebo in same role.

That was a few years ago. They just gained Promotion to La Liga finishing second to Nwakali's Huesca. Shows the quality has improved in that team.

Yeah! I was abused like that growing up. I was beginning to think I was defective or something, thank god I was one with the mental sagacity to overcome.

I once dated this Black lady, we had issues and in the heat of the moment, she made reference to my skin color in the most derogatory way possible.
you dodged a bullet. It is better to live on the roof of a house than to have any dealing with abusive woman. Those people that like to bleach their skin are suffering from low self esteem. I like my dark skin and I always make sure I use normal body cream to maintain the skin tone.

Etebo appreciation post. Might not be the prettiest but he has been the best performer for us in our last two competitions. Finally going to a big club and I am sure we will finally see the quality on a consistent basis.

Turkish league is not a step up , he may make a lot more €€€ but it's not progression. For one of our best players in the midfield if not best.

Gala is a big club in Turkey in general but in terms of competitive quality it's not a great move

This is the retirement league of Europe.

It is the sentence construction that nailed Mr. Forgetfulness. Based on what he typed it seems he intended to say VicMo won Europa, epl and singlehandedly won afcon. However, he misplaced the modifiers etc. And in fact how can one person single-handedly win a competition when it's not ping pong or tennis, I tire o.

Hehehe! Exactly! Your head dey dere.

The championship is where Rooney went to retire. So it just depends. People say the same about Italy. But do people play champions league in retirement?

But it is more competitive than staying in relegation threatened Stoke city in the championship.

Who knows if Stoke city will end up in League 1 at the end of the season?

It doesn't show that the quality has IMPROVED of the league.

The entire Segunda División is poor quality and gaining promotion within the league is not a reflection of quality.

There is a huge gulf in quality within La Liga, you almost have 4 levels of quality.

The Barca and Real then Saville/ Athletico M. Then a group of 4/5 clubs then another group of 3/4 clubs after that everything is poor.

Look at the huge budget disparities between the clubs.

Segunda División is poor quality, you cannot get away from the issue of FINANCE. Better players follow where there is better money it's a simple FACT.

Look at mid table Stoke Fc, of which many should be familiar with the players in the team including our own players.

Now tell me one team in the Segunda that can match just 25% of the quality of players in a like for like comparison. With objectivity.

And it becomes very apparent.

At least, Gala is competing for the Turkish league but Stoke city is still struggling to gain promotion and there is no assurance they will.

Gala will be playing in Europa but Stoke city will be playing in the championship.
