Some of us can never see the positives in a game. Liverpool is a team you'd be happy to win 11 v 11. They were clear favorites for this game. This is the same defence that let in five against them last season. We managed to restrict them from creating quality chances before Christensen decided to become a rugby player. Apart from the red card I wouldn't have had any problems going into the first half break. Klopp brought in Thiago for Henderson at half time which meant he wanted to be ruthless seeing that he was a man up. When Liverpool inevitably scored, Tomori and Zouma remained rock solid, kantè was great although I think he should improve his decision making at the other end of the pitch. We still managed to get a penalty and Abraham forced a good save from Alisson so it didn't look like they completely lost hope in getting something out of the game. Out of three goals we've conceded, two of them have been utter blunders from Kepa. Lampard has improved the defence and it's showing. Did people actually expect them to beat Liverpool with ten men?

I don't like doing the "if" thing in football. But if you want to go that lane, let's go there...

If Jorg scored that penalty, it would have been 1-2 and we would have still lost.

BUT

If Kepa didn't happen, it would still be 0-1 till the penalty.

If Jorg scored, it would be 1-1 and we get a point.

Kepa made the whole match hopeless. At 0-1, we just needed one moment of magic, one set piece, one free kick, anything to score and we level it. But at 0-2 its impossible to come back in the game.

N.B: I'm NOT justifying Jorginho's miss. I was really mad at him.... After all the hard work Werner put in to get that penalty. BUT Kepa is to blame 98%.

The funny thing is kepa actually made some decent saves yesterday, even against Brighton. But he can't continue making such mistakes, that's the unforgiving aspect of the goalkeeper position, one mistake is enough to make all your saves useless let alone multiple blunders like that. I think it's a confidence issue though, he looks petrified anytime he has the ball at his feet
