Rocksvibes234: IF DEY DONT BUILD DAT AIRPORT WELL TO ATTRACT TRAFFIC. LET DEM JUST STOP THROWING MONEY AWAY BECOS, AMAECHI PLAN IS TO FORCE TRAFFIC TO RIVERS STATE. THEY ARE THE PEOPLE BLOCKING ENUGU AND MIGHT HAVE RUBBISH ANAMBRA PLAN TO THE CHINESE. |
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by hammer3: 1:45pm On Sep 28, 2020 |
THE ONLY THING THAT WILL ATTRACT PEOPLE TO UMU ERI IS A WELL DESIGNED WORLD CLASS AIRPORT. IT WILL BE LIKE A MAIN ATTRACTION, ELSE, RIVERS STATE WILL PREVAIL. WEN PEOPLE OR TOURIST GO TO A PLACE, THEIR IS A MAIN ATTRACTION. NO POINT BUILDING ANOTHER SUB STANDARD AIRPORT, WE ALREADY HAVE PLENTY OF THEM. 2 Likes |

The design is very cool, but the size seems to be small. But if it's truly international cargo airport it must have atleast 2 terminals one for international the other for domestic and cargo 3 Likes |

It won't be nonsense, I have visited the site recently. It's very massive, the runway, tower, apron, taxiway. It's impressing. But I don't know the exact one is terminal. I saw 2 building behind the apron one is about 80% completed the other is still ongoing with iron columns. That's where I'm confused which one is the terminal. But the tower is very very far from those two buildings hammer3: 1 Like |

Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by hammer3: 1:56pm On Sep 28, 2020 |
Rocksvibes234: THAT IS WAT AM SAYING, ANAMBRA STATE HAVE GONE TO THE MEDIA WITH WAT THE TERMINAL WILL LOOK LIKE. THE WHOLE WORLD IS EXPECTING THE BEST AIRPORT IN AFRICA. IF HE DISAPPOINT US, HE WILL BE SHOCKED WEN THE AIRPORT DONT GET ENOUGH TRAFFIC AND OBIANO WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR HIS WHITE ELEPHANT AIRPORT PROJECT THAT WAS A FAILURE. TELL HIM TO TREAD VERY CAREFULLY AND NOT BUILD AN AIRPORT THAT EVEN LAGOS BUS STATION IS SUPERIOR AND FAR BETTER. I KNOW U HAVE SEEN LAGOS BUS STATION IN OSHODI. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3XAS-YB4Pc 1 Like

Although when you visit an airport what you see is the terminal building, the quality of an airport is TOTALLY based on its ; RUNWAY , ILS. & AIRFIELD LIGHTING TAXIWAY. Our fixation on fancy terminal buildings while refusing to install proper 3.5 km runway with taxiways, CAT 2 ILS and airfield lighting is what makes even Accra airport with smaller single terminal building more highly rated than Lagos airport by international airlines. Let us learn to prioritize the most important things and leave frivolities for much later. I don't mind if the terminal building is bigger than JFK or smaller than Uyo airport. They should concentrate on that runway to make sure it's thick and long enough to land an Airbus 380 jumbo jet. And it has night landing facilities at par with a category 2 airports internationally. Then they can aim at building the biggest terminal building in the world, bigger than Dubai if they can find the money. Most Africans rarely consider cost when they are asking for projects. They will simply point at Los Angeles airport or skyscraper hotels and want it magically built somehow in total disregard for the cost and how poor our country is compared to California, talkmore entire United States 8 Likes |
