I told someone on the Chelsea thread that if you believe APC has failed or any politicians has failed to meet your expectation, gather together and vote them out.

Na so so abuse follow ham.

Whenever you mention that they should vote out a politician they flare up. Do they want to do a military coup?

Buhari is a failure but so too are our Governors, Senators, Representatives at the Federal and state level, LG Chairmen, Councilors, Heads of MDAs etc...

One thing I always say is that they're way too many stupid people in Nigeria thus it is impossible to change the fortunes of the country for good. Imagine a situation where someone goes to the polling booth with his/her card but will only vote for the highest bidder...And they're in the majority...

It's still in Nigeria where someone comes to campaign in your hood and promises to fix the roads, create thousands of jobs among others yet nobody cares to ask how and when (time line), all they care for is to collect the rice, maghi and salt...

Sometimes, you even look at it and begin to think Buhari isn't even the problem. Imagine him trying to ensure LGAs and the Legislature are autonomous of the State yet Nigerians stood and watch as Governors challenged it in court...Nobody cared enough to question their Governors...

It's still in this country where Governors got Paris club refunds and were asked to clear backlogs of salaries and pension but they looted the funds but nobody complains, they rather blame Buhari...

A Governor will tell Peope he has no control over the Police and military in General when it comes to fighting crimes but same Governor will use them to rig LG elections...Same Governors collect millions in security votes...

The only reason I was and remain disappointed in the#EndSARS protest is for the lack of strategic leadership...The protest was supposed to be the spring board to a collective demand for good governance across the country but no, it wasn't because at the point where it was supposed to metamorphosiize into something bigger the glaring lack of leadership meant it stalled. The government have accented to the demands to#ENDSARS, so what exactly was the need to carry on protesting? At the point, the government started saying it was political and to be fair, after your demands have been met or mechanisms put in place to meet your demands as we were told, it only reeks of a sinister motive should you continue with the protest.

Now, imagine if the protest moved on from #EndSARS to #EndBadGovernance as some folks tried to push it, it'd have led to far reaching reforms because Nigerians who were indifferent to the #EndSARS protest would have been willing to support the call to end bad governance...This country is a mess...

Excellent. PMB has been disappointing, most of his critics are worse. That was what I told one of my friend. I told him that you have a litany of things the government has done wrong which you will use to criticise it, why not use it sensibly? Why adding Lies, Cospiracy theories and useless conjectures, and you want convince me. This is while selling another rogue as a better candidate.

They will tell you " I don't support any party" but likes it when one party succeeds and the other fail

On internal security, baba F9 wear agbada.

Like I said some few weeks back on Twitter, what will dent whatever infrastructural renewal PMB is embarking on is the insecurity.

Na person wey Dey alive Dey ride train and use good roads.

I tell you something. Nigeria has a lot of security challenges. In Buharis village bandits no allow dem rest almost everywhere in the country killings are going on that military cannot curtail. Traveling by road from Abuja to Kaduna is like traveling through Allepo or Fallujah

Insecurity is at all time high one of my childhood friends who worked in telecom was kidnapped on the way to a site not long ago and his company had to pay a ransom to get his released

Same in Katsina, Zamfara, Benue Kaduna Taraba Tiv/Jukun etc

They cannot afford another addition to the already bad situation whether in Lekki Oyigbo or Lagos

I always make it clear that both parties are just platforms, it's the politicians that are bad...I can't hate on the PDP when I see that the same people will easily cross-carpet to the APC when things don't go their way and vice versa...Political leaders have failed us and that's why I advise my folks to all take keen interest in politics. I saw there arguments in Chelsea thread, but I don't want to waste my time with them. So far, No single Family or relative has shown up to say their person was a casualty of the toll gate incident, and some people want us to believe that 78 people where killed, and that one hungry looking DJ like that that took 15 dead bodies and dropped it on the feet of the shooting Soldiers. When I see these comments sometimes I question the sanity of some people

The Lekki matter has been running so high on emotions, so people's feelings are understandable. Even the most in-depth investigation into the matter from Premium times seemed to trying to add Police casualties from a later incident at Lekki to the Army matter.

I remember when I was tackling State Govs here and the kind attack I receive. grin

PMB is proposing a change to the revenue sharing formula whereby states and local govt will get more share than the FG.

Currently:

FG: 52.68%
SG: 26.72%
LG: 20.60%

Funny enough, the State Govs will probably win the case against the FG with the kind of judiciary that we have.

When I said we have to seriously start considering State policing, Ibime says we should continue with this centralized police force.

The Nigeria Police force has 600k officers. How can 600k officers effectively police over 200m people?

Lekki na upper echelon na. Even BBC, Al-Jazeera correspondents were covering the protest throughout plus all the media personalities are local to Lekki so it was always going to be a big deal. Wetin happen for Lekki na small matter for Rivers on any given day.

1 policeman to 300 citizens as pertains in Nigeria is actually one of the better police to citizen ratios in the world. That ratio is good in the absence of grinding poverty and insecurity.

I have seen how local security forces are used by local thug politicians in Niger Delta for all sorts of unspeakable acts including mass murder, political intimidation etc. My village has been burned down, cousin killed and women dragged in the river tied to speed boats by local political thugs backed up by security forces. Leave that State Police narrative for civilised areas of Nigeria like Lagos and Yorubaland. Our politicians in the South are killers who should not be armed with killer squads. If a somewhat benign politician like Peter Obi could be filling river with bodies with Federal SARS teams, imagine what our thug politicians will do in Niger Delta with their own Police force at their beck-and-call. 2015 elecion, PDP killer squads will enter villages in Ahoada/Omoku and behead 15 people and hang their body for the rest to see. Imagine what these our Politicians will do with State Police.

Not just stampede but from bullets. Like ibiimee described it. I have been at riots before and its the same modus that anti riot police use in Nigeria shoot a few and rain bullets in the air

Even in the military days that was the tactics i think many of the youths did not witness the days of military in the 80s and 90s else they will know that is standard operation in Africa

If 5 police face a crowd of over 1000 for 2mins shooting straight with automatic rifles you will not have less than 100 casuaties

It may be the fact that we grew up in military era hence we did not see Lekki incident as outside of the normal.

In 1990s, if you go to any protest of a few hundred people, you would easily have a handful of deaths. I was even surprised when the Amnesty International figure of 10 deaths was becoming difficult to verify.

Back in 1990s, you would just be going about your school day not knowing some University students have started protest somewhere. Before you know smoke will start filling the City from burning tyres and soldiers will lock down the City. If you are unfortunate to still be on the road at this time, if you don't carry palm leaves on your person or on your car, soldiers fit do you anyhow.

You no lie

Look ordinary local govt elections that is coordinated by SIEC and an opposition dare not win

I have seen where lawmakers were make to swear oath to Fayose that if they betray him they should die with their kids

Imagine that one in charge of police.

I remember 2019 election in Rivers where some AA party was threatening PDP, I got some videos on whatsapp and the level of shooting no be today

You should know Arteta is a defensive minded coach, hence the double 4 and 3 CB... Partey is a conplete midfielder, can do anything.

Pair Pogba with 5 DM and 5 CB he will still play rubbish....
So Partey has made his name playing under defensive minded coaches where more players are also required to defend? I would love to see him under a coach where he's the only DM and no one to help him
