Politics / Re: Nigerians Encourage Their Leaders To Steal - Gov Peter Obi by prefers555: 9:28pm On Feb 28, 2012
In other words, nigerians vote politicians to go in and steal. I am dissapointed in kobo. The words of governor are that of a guilty thief, fighting his conscience. How many anambrites have publicly encouraged him to go into office to steal. Somebody, please remind himm that becos his family encourages him to steal in office does not mean the publice condones his stealing How did this guy get into that office, anyway?!!!!
Webmasters / Re: What Do You Think About Internet Service In Nigeria? by prefers555: 7:39am On Feb 23, 2012
@Anti-scam. Obviously u are ignorant in the field of telecommunication communication. Its not enough to google and say main one and glo is laying fibre optics all over the place. For your information, glo fibre optic has more capacity than any already existing fibre in africa, but ask yourself, why it wont deliver ethernet not fast ethernet speed (that of ur rj 45 used in your lan) across your wan connection. The answer is simple:the backbone infastructure that connects your metros and cities gulps requires more capital investment than all the fibres running around west africa. It requires less than half a million dollar to build a wimax tower, that covers less than 10 miles radius block, delivering throughput of less than 50 mb/sec in the case of nigeria(not even enough for ogba alone) while it requires millions of dollars to build metropolitan DSL/broadband infastructures. This is where NITEL should come in.

For ur information, it is a deliberate act to keep nitel redundant. The telcos and corrupt govt agencies know that with nitels presence in the market, prices will be cheaper. Check out what BT telecom is doing for the britons.
Webmasters / Re: What Do You Think About Internet Service In Nigeria? by prefers555: 7:40pm On Feb 22, 2012
Guys, make una wise up. Our leaders sold NITEL that would have provided internet at fibre optic speed 4 peanuts thinking of their pockets alone. They actually did the telcos a favor. The telcos deploy wireless broadband (be it wimax, 3gpp, 3g bla bla bla) within months of procuring licenses, creating the impression that we enjoy full blown internet service. Mention DSL and the telcos will freak out cause they just dont have the capacity to deploy such technology. Such technologies can only be deployed with fibre optic rings all over our cities (offcourse these requires huge financial investments). Who will make these sacrifices!!! Your answer is as good as mine: federal govt should invest billions of dollars lying idle in the so called foreign reserve in this sector for the sake of the youths of the country who are thirsty for high speed. This is the common practice worldwide. IF ONLY OUR POLITICIANS KNOW BETTER!!!!. THE NITEL THEY SOLD 4 PEANUTS WAS OUR TREASURED INHERITANCE.
Phones / Re: 3G Data Reliability - Glo Or MTN? by prefers555: 6:56pm On Feb 12, 2012
Glo network is quite fast, but b ready to bear the worst of airtime pilfering. The in-built software charges u even at megabytes even without opeining a web page. Advice is, check the glo user interface every minute u browse, if ur download speed increases unjustifiably, hurriedly disconnect and reconnect seconds after. Need a cheap reliable internet connection, go for mobitel 4g wimax connection. Just set up a cafe 4 a client. As at yesterday, downloaded date was just 500 mb after a week, at peak usage (still gat 9.5 gb data to spare 4 the rest of de remaining days).
Education / Re: What Are The Merits And Demerits Of Co-existing Or Rather Living Together With Someone In An Hostel? by prefers555: 2:25pm On Feb 11, 2012
My experience back in uniben was pretty fun, stayed in HALL THREE. The most vivid experience was in my 4th year. A next door room mate of mine, well connected in school politics retained the same room 4 four sessions. He was a heavily built chap,a bully, born in warri raised in ajegunle. He was every bit funny, always had sex with his numerous girlfriends right in the room in the presence of his room mate, (offcourse with the lights off). He was a porn addict, had TV set, a DVD player and tons of adult films. Many of his room mates who couldnt bear his attitude always had to leave after making several un-replied protests to the porters. I remember, he had a august visitor (confras) on a certain night. About three mean looking guys walked into his room, pointed guns at him and made him frog jump (in full nudity for hours), with dirty slaps rained on him every minute interval. They made his room mates watch. We were stunned to see his entire face swollen the next day. I remember we all laughed when his room mates narrated what had happened overnight. Hostel life is sure fun.

@KINGwax. I know u are one of the pessimist who don believe other peoples story on nairaland. Actually, this happened to me this week. I give u the liberty to write a movie script out of it, seems to me u are a movie addict.
Business / Re: GTBank Tries To Force Dollar Mastercard On A Customer by prefers555: 7:19am On Feb 10, 2012
I had the same awful experience this week at gt bank.I had just opened a domicillary account with the branch at alausa. My refrence form was filled by skye bank current holders. Two days later, i got a text that the dom account had beeen created and required that i activated by paying in dollars into the account. I got 500 dolls from my aboki and deposited immediately. Two weeks later i made a foreign transfer. Two hours later, i got a call from gt bank that my transaction was on hold because the status of the refrees had not been confirmed by skye bank. That day, i rushed back to the banking hall, tried to make them explain why an account that was yet verified was activated. My god, you guys should have seen their attitude. They simply cared less, insisting skye bank was responsible. They even insisted i couldnt terminate the transaction as it wasstill on hold. Immediately, i dashed to my refrees and headed towards V.I (skye bank hq) on a bike. On my way, i had an awful experience that nearly got me killed. The okada rider tried to avoid task force on the highway, a task force personnel threw a punch at the bike rider who was riding at full speed. The agbero missed the okada man, guess who he got, me, in the jaw. As i type, i have a dislocated jaw ( just got x-rayed)
Can u believe that the refrence form never got to skye bank. I had to get my refrence form to skye bank myself, there the skye bank staffs expressed disbelief in the manner at which gt bank operated. I think the bank is eating more than it can chew.
Once i get the transaction done, i am closing the account right away, SHARPALLY!!!!, SHARPALLY!!!, except offcourse, i get this HOT CHICK wink at the customer service as my VAL. IF NOT angry, hmmm, I am only trying to make the best out of the situation grin grin.
Phones / Re: Broadband Is Next Phase Of Telecoms Revolution – Juwah by prefers555: 12:32am On Feb 09, 2012
Broadband simply means the ability of your means of communication (internet or intranet) to support multiple services like voip, video on demand, data and other bandwidth consuming application over a single baseband channel. If u can watch youtube, browswe the internet and make voip calls over the internet at the same time, then welcome to the world of broadband. On the contrary, what we have as broadband is nothing but NARROW BAND SERVICE!!!! cool

THANKS, BABYGAY,SORRY IF I DIDNT SPELL CORRECTLY. THANKS A LOT 4 DE INSIGHT.YOUR POST TRULY SHED BRIGHTER LIGHT ON THE HISTORY OF BH AND THE NORTH THAT WE IN THE SOUTH NEVER KNEW.

THE ONLY OPTION LEFT 4 DE FG IS TO TAKE A LEAF FROM THE CIA SILENT ASSASINATION METHOD USED IN THE 70s AGAINST PEOPLE PERCIEVED TO B ENEMIES OF THE STATE. WHAT WE HAVE IN BH ARE NOT JUST RELIGIOUS FANATICS, BUT A SET OF PEOPLE WHOSE MAIN IDEOLOGY CANNOT B EXACTLY DEFINED. THIS GROUP IS HIGHLY FEARED BY THE HIGH AND MIGHTY, BUT THEY WERE AT ONE POINT IN TIME A TOOL IN THE HANDS OF NORTHERN POLITICIANS. I GET THE FEELING, THESE GUYS ARE OUT OF FAVOR WITH THE NORTHERN ELITE AND NOW, THEY HAVE FOUND SOLACE AND COMFORT IN FOREIGN SPONSORS OF TERRORIST THAT ARE SPREAD ALL OVER THE WORLD ESPECIALLY THE MIDDLE EAST.   I GET THE FEELING, THEY MUST HAVE HAD FOREIGN SPONSORS KNOCKING ON THEIR DOORS B4 NOW, BUT THEY PROBABLY IGNORED.THE DEATH OF THEIR LEADER WAS THE PERFECT XCUSE TO EXTEND THEIR HAND OF FOLLOWERSHIP TO THEIR TERRORIST BROTHERS ACCROSS THE SAHARA. REMEMBER, THIS WAS HOW OSAMA GAINED ACCEPTANCE AMONG THE TALIBANS IN AFGHANISTAN.IF NOT 4 DE FINACIAL MUSCLE OSAMA POSSESED,HE WOULDNT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PULL THE STRINGS NECESSARY. WE MIGHT AS WELL HAVE ANOTHER TALIBAN IN THE MAKING IN OUR HANDS. THE QUESTION IS WHO IS THE OSAMA IN THIS CASE. LIKE I SAID B4, IT IS TIME 4 FG TO BORROW A LEAF 4RM DE CIA APPROACH.

What de Bleep is wrong with these nigerian leaders. They are so bereft of ideas. Imagine, they cant even tell lies that would convince the masses. Now, they are going about setting up commitees whose only interest would be to award juicy contracts to themselves. Removing subsidies would not stop the cabals from gettting rich, it would only equate to ripping their profits from the masses instead of the government so called subsidy coffers. Until, this god forsaken party called PDP is uprooted, i doubt nigeria would experience any advancement. PDP is the curse plauging nigeria.
Politics / Re: Fuel Subsidy Removal Protest Going On In Lagos? by prefers555: 3:18pm On Jan 03, 2012
Mr know all, are u saying the reason why subsidy should be removed is that the rest of west africa are benefiting? What a lame reason. You have stayed too long in europe, such that u are beginning to think the EU is the same as ECOWAS. My interpretation of your point is that nigerians should allowed to die so that other african countries wont enjoy subsidy. You are as lame as your reasoning. tongue

Politics / Re: Hotel Explosion: 15 Persons Injured As Gunmen Invade A Hotel In Gombe by prefers555: 8:22am On Dec 30, 2011
In the list of most blood letting, blood thirsty religion, ISLAM comes first. Ogun, oya, amadioha, egbesu, bhuddism, hindu, are more tolerant than ISLAM. This religion preaches hate, barbarism. Even among their midst, peace cannot exist. Shame to this religon called islam, as they have no relationship with god. Their interpretation is that, god created non-muslim so that muslims can kill them for his own (gods) delight. At this point in time of our lives, muslims should be ashamed to say, they worship a god of peace. The god they have been led to worship is a blood thirsty god. SHAME ON ISLAM!!!!!

If GEJ is listening, if i were him, i would ask the SSS and security agencies to beam their searchlight on the ACF. I can tell u instictively, a good number of them are either sponsors or supporters of boko haram.
Politics / Re: Another Explosion Reported In Sapele, Delta State - Sr by prefers555: 7:23am On Dec 28, 2011
Going by a lot of comments, Most of you on this forum have just signed the death warrant of some of your distant unknown family members living far away. Spilling the blood of innocent nigerians who are equally annoyed at the dastard acts of these coward terrorists will not appease your rage and anger, it will only aggravate your grief the more.  I know a lot of us would rather have a one nigeria than a divided country. The problem we are facing is as a result of our refusal to do away with these rogues called politicians. The boko haram thing was a religious, fanatic creation that was fully powered by politicians 4 selfish interest. To resolve this issue, i suggest the various religious leaders from the south and north have a regular meeting to find a way forward. It seems those are the only people we can look up to at this time. The likes of GEJ and his political cohorts have no idea how to put and end to this killings.

This is what happens when selfish nigerians like obasanjo refuse to allow a country like nigeia which is on the brink of breaking have a round table talk. That man had the opportunity to mend the ills and pains in the heart of the various tribes, but for selfish reasons, he stood against it. A national conference would have addressed the boko haram and other issues. Now innocent blood is spilled allover the country. Its sad to have such people as leaders.
