A young indian woman seems is taking brotherly love to another level. Raja Verma spoke about her relationship with five different men - all of whom are brothers. She sleeps each night with a different brother, but doesn't have a clue which one is the father of her 18-month-old son. She wed her first husband, Guddu four years ago but has since married all four of his younger brothers in support of Polyandry. http://www.eventjara.com/blogs/news-features/item/the-housewife-married-to-five-brothers

http://www.eventjara.com/blogs/refinement/item/the-blind-boy A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: “I am blind, please help.” There were only a few coins in the hat. A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words. Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, “Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?” The man said, “I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way.” What he had written was: “Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.” Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective? Moral of the story: Words are tools for the brain. Change your perspective - change your life. Also be thankful for all you have, because no matter how bad things are, they will eventually get better - with the right perspective. Cardinals Peter Turkson (Ghana), Luis Antonio Tagle (Manila) & Leonardo Sandri (Bueno Aires) amongst others all stood the chance of becoming the 266th pontiff, but it was eventually given to Jorge Bergoglio from Buenos Aires.. Ghanian, Peter Turkson was the bookies favourite but we knew it wan't going to be given to him just like it wasn't given to cardinal Arinze last time around. I know it isn't about qualification alone but do you think it would ever be given to a black man? http://www.eventjara.com/blogs/news-features/item/pope-francis-lowly-yet-chosen-plus-other-men-who-could-have-been-pope

An eight-year-old schoolboy has married a 61-year-old woman because the ghost of his dead ancestor told him to. Sanele Masilela tied the knot with Helen Shabangu, who is already married and a mother-of-five. The boy, from Tshwane, South Africa, said he had been told by his dead ancestors to wed and his family, fearing divine retribution, forked out for a wedding. They paid £500 (125,000 Naira) for the bride and a further £1,000 (250,000 Naira) for the big day, which was organised in just two months. Dressed in a bow tie and tiny silver suit, little Sanele, the youngest of five children, exchanged rings in front of 100 guests and even puckered up for a kiss. It's already shocked the community but the family has defended the ceremony, saying it was just a ritual and not legally binding. Here are his statements on the issue “We must sound it clear to our brother, Jonathan, that if he fails to do something about it, we shall take our destiny on our own hands,” he said. “It’s not a threat, but a warning to our brothers to act fast.” According to the leader of the Niger/Delta Peoples Volunteers Force, the revelation has justified the reason behind the restiveness in the Niger Delta. Asari said: “Can you now see what we have been fighting for? We own the oil and we are suffering for it. Is it a curse to have oil in our land? Now, you see why these Northerners want to die in power. The oil we have is being controlled by them. Is that not funny?”See, let me tell you, if Jonathan fails to revoke the licences, we will take our destiny in our hands. We will not sleep any more for people to take what belongs to us. Nigerians must stand to resist a set of cabals that turned our country to their personal empire. “One single person is richer than Nigeria. They are sucking our blood. Our land is being destroyed every day. No water, we can’t fish anymore; the land is polluted. Yet, none of our people in the Niger/Delta controlls an oil bloc” he fumed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- They say that the love of money is the root of evil. No where else is this statement as exemplified like in Nigeria. Your thoughts? http://www.eventjara.com/blogs/news-features/item/niger-delta-oil-is-the-reason-northerners-want-to-die-in-power-asari http://www.eventjara.com/blogs/news-features/item/niger-delta-oil-is-the-reason-northerners-want-to-die-in-power-asari |

Since it's a wedding day, I decided to post something interesting about marriage.. There are thousands of questions you should consider before entering into a marriage, but to help you out, I’ve narrowed it down to a few of the most important ones. This is a checklist of seven questions I believe every person should ask before walking down the isle. 1. Do I like this person? I know that this seems like a redundant question, but it’s really not. I talk to many couples who say that they “love” each other, but when you get past all those romantic feelings, there’s no friendship at the core of the relationship. Marry somebody that you love to hang out with. Without a strong friendship, I believe a marriage is destined for failure. Don’t just marry somebody you love…marry somebody you like! 2. Am I attracted to more than their looks? Physical attraction is definitely important, but looks are going to change. That hot girl or guy you’re staring at now is going to look a whole lot different in 40 years! You need to make sure you’re drawn to who that person is, not just how that person looks. 3. Do I want this person to be the father or mother of my kids? Before you get married, you need to ask more than “Do I want my kids to look like this person?” You need to ask “Do I want my kids to BE like this person?” 4. Can I be myself around this person? This is huge. If you feel like you have to be somebody else around your potential spouse, don’t get married! There’s nothing more exhausting than pretending to be someone or something you’re not for somebody else’s approval. Your spouse should bring out the best parts of who you are but never try to change who you are. 5. Does this person strengthen my faith? As a Christian, I believe God’s design for marriage is that a husband and wife come together with Christ in the Center. Without Him at the foundation, the marriage will eventually crumble. Marry someone who not only shares your faith but also strengthens your faith. Your spouse should bring you closer to Jesus, not drag you farther away. 6. Do the people who love me the most think we’re a good match? If your family and friends who love you the most don’t think you’re good for each other, then please look past your feelings and weigh carefully if you’re marrying the right person. You need a spouse who is going to strengthen your family bonds, not put a huge strain on them. If your family loves your fiancee, that’s a great sign! If they don’t, seriously consider your next step. 7. Can I stay committed to this person No Matter What? We live in a world where people like to quit anything the moment it gets difficult. The core of your marriage isn’t feelings which change…it’s commitment which never changes. When you say “I do” what you’re really saying is “I Will.” I will be here for you and with you through life’s ups and downs. If you can find someone who stands up to these questions and you can do the same for them, then I believe that you’re on your way to “Happily Ever After!” Pray hard, plan well and say “I Do” with confidence and joy! source - http://davewillis.org/category/marriage/ 60 Likes |

Some facts have stated that around 40 to 45 percent of all marriages in Nigeria end up in divorce. Of the rest 55 percent about 3/4 stay in unhappy marriages for the sake of children, fear of being alone, shame, finance etc. If God said marriage is a good thing, then how come it has become a nightmare for many? Personally, I think we missed the concept. In anything, to find truth and revelation, you always need to go backwards and not forwards. so here's a quick review of the concepts God laid out in what I call 'The First Marriage' - the union between Adam and Eve. First of all, Adam and Eve were placed in a place called the 'Garden of Eden and Eden means spot, delightful door. It means an 'Open Door' on the earth. Since Eden isn't a tangible location, no archaelogist can find it. It's an atmosphere, the presence of God.. So when they fell, the atmosphere 'Eden' went back to heaven. Note that the first thing God gave the man was His presence - Eden. In other words, the first thing a man needs is not a woman. The most important thing a man needs is the presence of God and the woman is supposed to meet him there; in the presence - in Eden. The word 'garden' means order. If a man doesn't have the presence yet, his life is like a bush, and any woman who joins him would have troubles. The next thing God did was to give Adam work. Genesis 2:15 God gave man work before woman. What's the point? If you have no source of income you don't need a wife. A man needs a job before he gets a woman (Genesis 2:15) Thirdly, God gave Adam an instruction 'Cultivate'. The word cultivate means to bring out the best in everything around you - To be fruitful. He only said that to the male.. Hence, no man on earth shoould ever expect a finished or perfect woman. It's the man's duty to create what he wants. The woman you are looknig for doesn't exist. She's only in your head. It is expected that the man takes the raw material (the woman), and cultivate her into the image he has in his head.. If as a man, u've been married for several years and u'r still not content with your wife, it's your fault. For example, if ur wife is putting on weight u don't like, rather than crticizing her, you could Wake her up early in the morning and take her for a jug. If u don't like her choice of clothes, take her shopping and pay for it. If she can't speak good english, send her to school and pay for it. Fourtly, God instructed Adam to 'Guard the garden". The point being that the male is the protector, hence the stronger bone frame and muscle mass to protect the woman, not abuse her.. The last thing God gave Adam was His Word.. He said 'Adam, don't touch the tree" The woman wasn't told that. In other words, the male was the only one who got the word of God gen 1;15-17. Adam's job was to teach Eve the word of GOD. In a home where the woman knows more word than the man, there's a problem beacuse women are naturally wired to seek the knowledge and direction of the male. Finally, God said to Himself "It's not good for this man to be alone". Don't read it this too quickly. Ponder about it for a while. What man? who? The man who's in His presence, working, can cultivate, can protect, can teach the word. That's the man who qualifies to be married. So if you meet a man who is not in His presence, can't cultivate, can't protect and can't teach the word - It is good for that man to be alone. Age doesn't qualify you for marriage, knowledge does . That's where many have missed it. If you liked this post, kindly visit http://www.eventjara.com/blogs/refinement/item/the-first-marriage and like it.... Cheers! 1 Like |

They say at 25 you want to get married and at 30 you wonder what you did ![]() Here are the qualities I'm convinced are the key foundation of any successful relationship.. FRIENDSHIP: Try to be your spouse's best friend. No matter what happens, be a friend first, and a lover later.. 2-TRUST: The key element to any relationship is trust, so before starting this beautiful journey with your spouse, learn to trust in all circumstances. 3-UNDERSTANDING: Try to figure out each other and work out on your differences. There are going to be many differences, but it’s mutual compromise and sacrifice which makes this relationship beautiful. 4-COMMUNICATION: Try to talk and convey your message to your spouse. Let your spouse know about how good/bad your day was along with reminding them how you feel for them. KINDLY SEE THE REST AT THE LINK.. http://www.eventjara.com/blogs/refinement/item/six-basic-keys-to-a-great-relationship
